Shek O Beach is a gazetted beach located facing Island Bay in Shek O, Southern District, Hong Kong. The beach has barbecue pits and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. We got up early to watch the sunrise after a short hike, unfortunately it rained after we arrived on the top, we were still lucky we were able to catch a glimpse of the colorful sky before it poured.
Shek O is a colorful attraction. Tourists can carry out various water activities, enjoy food in the seaside restaurant and coffee room, check in at the Lover Bridge, and those who like to hike can board Tai Tau Chau and have a bird's eye view of the entire Shek O and Wufen Chau. It is worth visiting.
Stay away from the hustle and bustle, stroll comfortably in Shi'ao Village, enjoy the local residents to live in the house, so colorful and good~~ walk to the lover's bridge, take a nap, blow the sea breeze and see the waves, very freehand
A lovely beach that’s easy to get to via public transportation. It’s a lot of fun to sit on the top level of the bus as it winds its way through the mountains to the tiny village of Shek O. The beach has amazingly soft white sand. The waves were quite strong when we went, and not many people were swimming, but the vistas are gorgeous.
easy commute. bus no 9 from Shau Kei Wan bus terminal will take you to Shel O directly. there are local restaurants and cafes in Shek O. very different view from the typical view of HK:
One of the most beautiful beaches on Hong Kong. it feels like a village, doesn’t feel like Hong Kong at all since it’s far from the sky crappers. Variety of restaurants to eat from which have great food. Tge surrounding mountains just make the landscape more surreal.
