A magnificent stone monument in the middle of the road
Original Text
The place where Emperor Meiji was when he visited the place in 1897. Although the road was planned in the subsequent city plan, the monument is built only here. It was a pretty fine stone monument.
A large stone monument about 3 meters high is erected in the central separation zone of the road in front of the Hachinohe Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is said that the Hachinohe Elementary School Auditorium, which was just completed in this place, was used as a place to visit the Tohoku region of the emperor in 1897. The building has been relocated to Kushibiki Hachimangu and is open to the public as the Meiji Memorial Hall.
I don't know the history of the unique road shape during my previous stay, and it is mysterious and impressive, but I am convinced that the monument is left behind and has a long history.
There is a small rotary in front of Hachinohe City Hall. Roads are built to avoid this place. This is the site of Emperor Meiji's residence, and a stone monument is erected. The gyozaisho here is now relocated to the precincts of Kushibiki Hachimangu and is the Meiji Memorial Hall. When visiting Kushibiki Hachimangu, we recommend a tour as well.

The emperor of Meiji is on the monument ♪
I stopped by while taking a walk. There is only a stone monument, but it was easy to understand because it was large. It is recommended next time.
