The legend of Yoshitsune Kitayuki remains in various parts of Tohoku, and it is said that this is the place where his wife, Minister Kuga, died and was buried. A shrine with a pretty magnificent torii gate near the castle ruins park.

I booked a hotel in front of Honhachinohe station, but the center of the city seems to be separate and I stopped by on the way to dinner. There was a very large torii gate, and the stairs in front of the main shrine were wide and splendid.
