It is a mountain that can be climbed with family.
Original Text
It is a mountain that can be easily climbed from the inn. It is just right for hiking with families, and you can enjoy the view of Hakata Bay from between the trees 々. I think it's a good idea to climb as a set of nearby Mt. Kanatake.
To Mt. Koso, there is a soil-made levee on the right of the entrance. It seems that this embankment continued to Mizuki in Dazaifu (to protect Dazaifu), and I heard that the embankment was hardened using nigari (salt nigari) so that it would not break. I was impressed by the wisdom of my predecessors.
I left my car at the outdoor center of Imajuku and climbed from Mt. Kana to Mt. Koso on a clockwise route. I arrived at Mt. Kana in less than an hour, Mt. Kochi in 30 minutes, and Mt. Koso in about an hour. There are signs and benches on the mountain trail, so I think it's a good place to hike with your family. You can also see Genkai Nada and Mt. Kaya (Itoshima Fuji), so even when you're tired of walking, you can see this scenery and feel energetic.
I went on a hike. Starting climbing from Mt. Kana, running vertically on Mt. Kochi and so on to Mt. Koso. The view from the top of the mountain was not so wide because there were many trees 々. A part of the Itoshima Plain was seen through the gap between the tree 々. There was a table and chairs on the top of the mountain where I could have a picnic, and I had lunch there. Kosoyama has many mountain trails, and I think it is a mountain where you can choose the route according to your physical strength or according to your preference.
10 minutes by bus from Shusenji Station on the JR Chikuhi Line. You can see the scenery toward Fukuoka City on the way. It is a historic foothill and summit such as Kagura of Koso Shrine, the ruins of Ido Castle, and the ruins of Koso Castle.
