The guardian deity here has long been believed to bless visitors with longevity and prosperity in business. Every year, the giant Yamakasa floats are renewed, and there are also many large 'power stones' on site. If you are confident in your strength, you can try lifting them. However, only the stone marked as 'test stone' is allowed to be lifted. This shrine, with over a thousand years of history, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Fukuoka.
