The road condition is good with no slopes, you can go deep into the countryside, and have a complete experience. You can enter from the entrance near Longtou Mountain Viewing Platform, cross a bridge in the middle. The price is about 10 yuan/hour for a bicycle, 10 yuan/hour or 20 yuan/hour for an electric bike, depending on the model. 🔵3. Randomly Find a Tuk-tuk on the Road Most of the tricycles parked on the side of the road are tuk-tuks soliciting business. They can go on the bicycle lane, saving time and effort, and you can have a complete experience. Basically, you can play from near Longtou Mountain Viewing Platform to the Happiness Bridge (100 meters in front of the Secret Hotel). 🌼3) Mingshi Countryside has two large parking lots, which are the upper and lower points of the bamboo raft. We spent three nights at Mingshi county near Vietnam border. Landscape is amazing and you are immersed among the typical southern China peaks. Life goes slows among corn fields, rivers , and local customs. some twenty minutes by car you can admire Detian transnational waterfall which border Vietnam. These waterfall are amazing and very picturesque. it is more recommended to rent a car and self drive since the area is not serviced by any public transportation and also didi or taxi are impossible to find. your local guesthouse/hotel can help you booking a car but self driving would allow more flexibility to the traveller

Stepping into Mingshi Pastoral, it's as if I've traveled through time and space, back to that innocent pastoral era. 🌾🍃 The area is lush with greenery, with village smoke curling up, rivers, streams, rice fields, and mountains reflecting each other, resembling a paradise on earth. 😍 Here's a complete guide to transportation, accommodation, and photo spots 🌟 🛠 Travel Guide: 1️⃣ Transportation: You can drive from Nanning, and it will take only two and a half hours to get there, with beautiful scenery along the way. On the way, you will pass through China's most beautiful highway - the Hena Expressway, where you can enjoy vast villages and spectacular karst landforms. 🚗 Upon arriving at Mingshi Pastoral, you'll find that it's also surrounded by mountains and villages. 2️⃣ About Mingshi Pastoral: Mingshi Pastoral is not actually a scenic area, so there's no need to buy a ticket 🎫. Just rent a small electric scooter and you'll be surrounded by beautiful scenery. The main popular photo spots are the Fish Scale Dam, the cycling route at Longtou Mountain Viewing Platform, and the rice field views at the Field Walk Inn. If someone tries to sell you a ticket, it's for the bamboo raft, which is not necessary! 3️⃣ Tour Route: It's recommended to rent an electric scooter first 🛵 (30 yuan per scooter, the small kind, the regular ones are cheaper). Along the way are cornfields and rice paddies, but we went in April, and the rice paddies were just planted, so the color wasn't very attractive. 3- Muyan Inn, Field Walk Inn: They have beautiful rice fields, and you can also stay in rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for taking photos. 4️⃣ Accommodation and Dining: It's recommended to stay at Muyan Inn, which has unique scenery and good service. Day1. Nanning → Gulong Mountain Grand Canyon → Sandie Ridge Waterfall → Detian Waterfall Scenic Area Accommodation. The itinerary is quite rushed, after playing at Sandie Ridge head to Leizhen for dinner, by the time it's completely dark, there is a section of mountain road about 30 minutes long, pitch black, quite difficult to drive. Gulong Mountain has very high waterfalls and caves, Sandie Ridge is a free attraction, the waterfall is not high but wins in its delicate beauty, few people and you can take photos freely. Day2, Detian Waterfall → Longtou Mountain Viewing Platform → Mingshi Pastoral Accommodation. The homestay is within walking distance to the scenic area, saving the trouble of a 35 yuan round-trip bus, and right across the river is Vietnam, quite interesting. Passing by the No. 837 boundary marker, no one around, free to take photos. The No. 836 boundary marker in the Detian scenic area instantly lost its appeal. Longtou Mountain is the drone view of Mingshi Pastoral, with a small platform, shed, resting tables and chairs, and trash bins, definitely worth the 20 yuan. Stay at Daxin Hualu, this homestay is beyond reproach, with great scenery, large rooms with complete facilities, Shiseido toiletries, priced between 500-1000, very good value for money. Day3. Mingshi Pastoral Cycling Mingshi Pastoral can be said to be full of beautiful scenery everywhere, such as Fish Scale Dam, Happiness Bridge, Big Cartoon, etc., all very photogenic. Even at the edge of the fields, by the river, on the bridge, you can sit quietly for a good while. There are many cycling routes, some places are not clearly marked, still need improvement. Continue to stay at Daxin Hualu at night Day4. Mingshi Pastoral → Tongna Bay → Qiaomiao Reservoir, stay in Daxin County. Originally wanted to drive along Anping Xianhe, but encountered a farm vehicle transporting sugarcane that had a flat tire on the way, blocking the road, so had to walk along the river and check a few ferries before leaving, very few tourists. The forest sea of Qiaomiao Reservoir is a bit like the waterborne karst, with people camping and barbecuing by the lake. Wanted to drive around the reservoir, but the roads in the sugarcane fields were too small, winding with many forks, got lost in a short while, and navigation was useless. So had to give up Day5. Daxin County → Buquan Township → Nanning Airport. Going to Buquan Township requires driving another forty to fifty minutes of winding mountain roads, but it's absolutely worth it, the beauty of Buquan Township is like a gem hidden in the deep mountains. Along the way, there will also be large fields of red heart dragon fruit, quite spectacular, for those accustomed to plains and small hills, Guangxi's scenery is both grand and delicate. Perhaps for people from mountainous provinces, the shock may not be as strong, you can say I'm inexperienced, but please do not belittle the mountains and rivers of Guangxi. This self-driving experience in Guangxi was really good, met all warm and hospitable people, even the 80-year-old gatekeeper at the foot of Longtou Mountain, we could chat for a while. In school, the geography textbook described Guangxi as the largest sugar-producing area, and being there in person truly made me appreciate the vast sugarcane fields. It is said that the Yangtze River Delta is a sweet food area, and I can't help but think that more than half of every spoonful of sugar we add to our dishes may come from Guangxi.
