My journey began along the scenic Torrs Riverside Park, where the River Goyt meandered through lush meadows and ancient stone bridges. The soothing sounds of cascading waterfalls provided a melodic backdrop to my stroll. As I ventured deeper, I discovered the town's industrial heritage at the Torr Vale Mill, a testament to New Mills' historical significance in the cotton industry.
Exploring the quaint streets, I found myself enchanted by the town's eclectic mix of independent shops, art galleries, and cozy cafes. Locals, with warm smiles, shared stories of the town's rich history and vibrant community spirit.
The highlight of my visit was the breathtaking Millennium Walkway, a spectacular bridge suspended high above the gorge, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Standing there, I felt a profound sense of connection with nature and the town's resilient spirit.

Wonderful Waterfall-Hike in Lixian
Quite deep on the mountains of Li County in Aba (Sichuan) there is the beautiful valley called Jaermeng Valley (In Chinese 甲尔猛措 for navigation).
The valley is a beautiful place of nature with nice forrests and in the end of the hike is a stunning waterfall to refresh yourself.
🥾 The hike itself takes about 2 hours and is 8km long (come and back).
🛌 At the entrance is a small guesthouse, bigger Hotels are a short drive away.
🚗 There is no bus going for there, you have to take a car from Chengdu (about three hours). Parking available.

Chasing waterfalls, bathing in rivers 🏞️

Here's a treat for those looking for something unique to do in peninsular Malaysia that's not over rated or expensive: visit Ulu Bendul Recreation Park, located in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. That's about a 2.5-3hr drive from Singapore, or 1.5hr from Kuala Lumpur.
Hutan Lipur Ulu Bendul sits at the foot of Gunung Angsi, a beautiful mountain with lush rainforests. This recreation park has been developed around a freshwater river, and has fun activities for everyone!
Apart from the many streetfood and snack stalls, the park has plenty of space dedicated to playing in the water - there are several large soaking pools, a small freshwater stream, and the much larger freshwater river that originates in the mountains. The whole area is lined by beautiful lush greenery and interesting rock formations, while there is also a dedicated camping ground.
Tips foe visiting Ulu Bendul:
- Pack a swimsuit! Changing/shower rooms are available
- Entry and parking are free
- Be careful when climbing the rocks as they can be slippery

An interesting legend surrounds this twin waterfall when twin sisters were bathing in Agus River, Maria got swept by the current and Cristina tried to save her. Just Alright - Tegalalang and Goa Raja
After trekking up Mt. Batur, your driver would usually try to bundle some locations to visit around that area of Ubud since it would be convenient. Goa Raja and Tegalalang are the popular places people choose to visit after the trek. Overall I would say it isn’t really worth it. And you’re much better off finding another private driver to take you around other locations in Ubud.
Goa Raja is famous for the waterfall but there’s really nothing else there. Additionally, the waterfall isn’t as impressive you’d think. It’s rather small and the water was mostly brown.
Tegalalang was much better but extremely commercialised. You had to pay to do anything. To take pictures, walk a trek or sit a swing. If you really want to you could get great shots here. But knowing that there are other padi fields around that are more untouched and free for you to explore, it just makes this place a hard sell for me.

The nature was so stunning in Grand Canyon. At the end of the Glass Bridge there’s a rock climbing place, I could climb only half of it (but for the first time, it was a good result, I’m very happy for that).
After passing the bridge we took an elevator, it was 30¥. Then slide way - 30¥ and a boat - 20¥. This helped us save more time, instead of using 1.5-2hours on the stairs, we passed it in just half an hour. After that we walked along the canyon and just admired the view.

Native Indians along the Chagres River Panama
While in Panama City we visited the native indian village! Wow it was amazing, my gran is over 70 and we rode in a canoe up to a hike and up a waterfall.
We then wen’t back in the canoe to the village of the Embera Indians who keep their ancient customs and traditions alive. The food was the best food i ate all my trip, simple and delicious. Hidden gem in Qionghai
Nanwu waterfall, also known as 南午瀑布 in chinese, is a natural wonder located in the city of Qionghai on Hainan island.
This beautiful waterfall is a hidden gem surrounded by greenery and mountains. The path to reach the waterfall is well-maintained, quite easy and pleasant for all ages.
During our visit the spot wasn’t crowded, with only 10 people there, which was great. Best of all, there is no fee to explore and enjoy this wonderful gem. I absolutely recommend this waterfall!

It is near entrance 1. My suggest is to enter to the park through entrance 1 early in the morning so that you can beat the crowd. It is a good spot to take nice pictures, but once again, it can be very crowded starting from 9am. In winter, you will see the “frozen” version of the waterfall.

Leke Leke comes from a Balinese word that translated to a rough, challenging yet meander pathway. However, despite the meaning, the path getting to the waterfall is not that rough. In fact, it's quite established, a bit hard but not impossible. And unlike other hidden waterfalls, Leke-Leke has enough facilities too.
I stayed a night at Leke Leke Waterfall Village Bali, so i just need to hike around 5mins from the bubble hotel. It was an amazing experience to stay a night in the middle of nature. If you stay at Leke Leke Waterfall Village, no need to pay entrance ticket to Leke Leke Waterfall, if you not stay here, the entrance ticket is start from IDR 20.000-50.000. The opening hours: 08.00 – 17.00 WITA.
To get to Leke Leke Waterfall, take the road from Seminyak or Kuta toward Mengwi. From Mengwi follow the signs toward Bedugal or Singaraja. About 30 minutes up the road you will begin to see signs for Secret Garden, and then Leke Leke Waterfall. The turnoff to the Falls are just past Secret Garden.

A star tourist attraction of Bosnia, located around 40km from Mostar. The opening hours of this water fall is from 7am to 8:30pm. There are different activities to do here including swimming, sun bathing, kayaking and taking a boat ride. There are several restaurants there but note that there is very little halal options. The water fall looks amazing and it is good for photos and swimming. The weather can be very hot so make sure you bring enough water and sunscreen.

This was a nice little find during our safari game drive in Kenya. We didn't stop for too long but it was long enough to take in the views have a little wonder and of course get some snaps in. I loved that it wasn't a crowded spot, it gave us the opportunity to enjoy it. The cool valley is a magnificent place to visit in Beijing. The valley is located in shihetang district of miyun in Beijing. it has large number of waterfalls and pools, glass bridge, crystal great wall and Alpine drafting. it's two hours by bus from the city center .I went there with my friends and we really had lots of fun together. located near the center of the island, best bet is to rent a motorcylce to get there, although i'm sure taxi is an option too.
We entered for free somehow but i believe they charge a little to park usually. You can bring your food and drinks inside or buy there. Then over the rackety bridge for walk along a jungle path for about 30meters to get the main waterfall section.
Great place for a picnic, lots of flat rocks, lots of shade, still-water pools aplenty to paddle in, lots of nice photos to be had. Worth the trip#phuquoc #vietnam #waterfall #beachlife #trip
