Badaling (Chinese: 八达岭; pinyin: Bādálǐng) is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Beijing's city center, in Badaling Town, Yanqing District, Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou (北八樓), approximately 1,015 meters (3,330 ft)

The Badaling Great Wall in Yanqing, Beijing, is a pass for the Ming Great Wall. As the saying goes, "You are not a hero until you reach the Great Wall." Most locals consider this spot the start of the ascent of the Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall is the most complete section among the various great walls in Beijing. The total length of this section is 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) with 43 watchtowers; however, only 2.3 miles (3.74 kilometers) and 19 watchtowers have been restored and opened to visitors. Compared with other sections, most stairs are not very steep and equipped with handrails, so it is a relatively easier climb.

Badaling is probably the most convenient part of the Great Wall of China to visit as it took only 20 minutes by high speed train. Alternatively, you may take local (I believe it was no. 704) which would take around 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the traffic). While the view was stunning, do expect crowd, both Chinese and foreigners. It would still be the most recommended one to reach for the Great Wall.

Today, Wang Qin tour guide took us to the Great Wall, Summer Palace, and Yuanmingyuan. During the trip, Wang Guide gave a serious speech and cared about the safety of the whole group, especially the physical attention and care of the old comrades. The work was serious and responsible, the business ability was strong, and the enthusiasm made us feel the greatness of the capital. I am happy to train such a good tour guide. I will definitely be the first choice next time I come to Beijing. Thank you!
Very good, night tour of the Great Wall is a very good choice, summer is hot, the evening is a little cooling can see the scenery of the day, and then see the night view. There are performances at night, the performance is quite shocking, one stroke and three strokes [scenery] very good [interesting] very sufficient [price ratio] OK
The weather is good today, the Great Wall is very spectacular, the guide service of Zhixiang travel is very warm, the explanation is also very professional, and we introduced many attractions in Beijing along the way, the through train is clean and tidy 👍🏻
Definitely worth going. One star for service, the cable car south 4th floor, want to go down to the North Great Wall, do not know where to go, no road signs and no volunteers, finally see an uncle who sorted out the self-service vending machine, ask the uncle answer: I have not worked hard to take care of your things, I have not finished my own things. Finally, I asked other tourists.
In the early summer, Badaling, climb the good man slope to do a good job
