Reviews: Private Tour for Foreigners: Tiger Leaping Gorge, Qiya Cafe, Yundian Cafe, Lijiang City

Colin was an attentive and friendly driver and guide with good English skills. We left from the ancient town in Lijiang at 7am and managed to avoid the biggest crowds at the Tiger Leaping Gorge. The rushing waters were magnificent and had to be experienced in person (videos don't do it justice). Afterwards we took an extraordinarily scenic drive father along the gorge, with absolutely beautiful mountain vistas until lunch at that hotel that's designed like caves (looks better than it sounds). Then we went to the wetland park where we were able to take it easy with a ride on the very slow electric scooter along the wetland lake. Because my wife was pregnant Colin had useful suggestions along the trip such as the option for escalators at the tiger leaping gorge, or customising our itinerary to go to different places, take longer breaks, and ending the day a bit earlier. Thanks Colin!

Reviews: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golden Sunrise @ Yundian Cafe with Guaranteed Cableway Tickets
Guest User2025-12-14
Its a good tour, is more like self-guided but with direction. They brought us to the location and tell us what to do. for the snow mountain, I recommend to buy 1 oxygen per person is enough. Impression Lijiang is overrated in my opinion and a bit boring. Blue Moon Valley is amazing, wish we could have spend more time here but there are tons of tourists there and really have to be patient to be fighting over the space to take spectactular pictures. Overall, a good tour and I highly recommend it but don't bother about the impression Lijiang, is waste of time and money in my opinion.
