It turns out that getting between St. Tropez and Nice isn’t easy. There is no direct train service, and the roads can be crowded when there are special events. A round trip by ferry is a great expedient if you just want to spend a few hours exploring the town. The ferry is modern, comfortable, and fast, and the crew is great. It makes two brief stops between Nice and St. Tropez. The trip takes roughly 2.5 hours, and you have about five hours in St. Tropez between arrival and departure. I should stress that this is transportation not a sightseeing tour, so you’re not traveling close to the shore, but there is still plenty to see. Although it’s fairly expensive, I recommend the ferry as the best way to get a taste of this amazingly beautiful and charming town. Fair warning, though: it will likely whet your appetite for more.

It was a wonderful experience going to St-Tropez by boat. It allowed us to see coastal villages that we wouldn't have seen by car.

A fantastic experience, with a friendly and efficient team always ready to answer questions. The various anecdotes shared about the places and events were engaging and really lively. I especially appreciated that they provided us with snorkeling masks during our swim!
