An internet connection is required for the eSIM before use. After activation, 80% of users have 4G to 5G signal, but in some areas outside of cities, the signal is not very good. Overall, it's acceptable. Used in Ireland. The eSIM installation time starts counting after completion.

Buying and installing the e-SIM from trip.cpm is easy and very cheap, and I always find it incredibly useful when traveling abroad! The signal works without any problems. However, sometimes it suddenly stops working the next morning after a day has passed. Turning the SIM on and off once usually fixes it.
