How to use
Instructions

How to activate

[Installing eSIM]
Before installation, please confirm:
1. Your device supports eSIM and is not carrier-locked.
2. Your phone is connected to a stable mobile network or Wi-Fi.

After initial installation, the eSIM will be linked to your current device and cannot be transferred to another device. Please confirm your device before installation. If you're in an eSIM network coverage area, we recommend installing the eSIM after arriving at your destination to avoid premature activation and expiration of your eSIM plan.

Method 1: One-tap installation
Complete quick installation by tapping the "Install" button in the Trip.com app or the "One-tap installation" link in your voucher (requires iOS 17.4 or later).

Method 2: Scan QR code/Manual installation (universal)
1. Open the QR code attachment in your Trip.com app booking and print it in advance or save it to another electronic device. (iOS 17+ and some Android devices can save the QR code image directly to the phone)
2. Go to "Cellular/Mobile Network" in Settings (iOS) or "SIM Card Manager" (Android).
3. With your phone connected to the internet, tap "Add eSIM/Add Cellular Plan" (iOS) or "Add SIM Card" (Android), then scan the QR code to complete installation.
4. If scanning fails, manually enter the "SM-DP+ Address" and "Activation Code" provided in your booking.
5. If steps 3 or 4 fail, your device may be carrier-locked (restricted from using other networks). Contact your carrier to unlock before installing eSIM.

Set up internet

[Activating eSIM]
Please complete the following setup only after arriving at your destination to avoid eSIM failure caused by premature activation when passing through other covered countries/regions:
1. Turn off your primary SIM (or disable "Mobile data" for the primary SIM) and enable the eSIM network switch.
2. Enable this eSIM:
iOS: Select and enable this eSIM under "Cellular/Mobile data".
Android: Enable this eSIM under "SIM card manager/SIM cards" and set "Mobile data" to use this eSIM.
3. Turn on "Data roaming".
4. If you still cannot connect after these settings, configure APN and restart your phone (see details below).

[About APN]
1. For eSIMs covering multiple countries/regions: If you can't connect after arriving in a new region, manually switch APN (normally switches automatically).
2. Setup path:
iOS: "Settings" > "Cellular" > "Cellular data network"
Android: "Settings" > "Mobile network/Cellular" > "Access point names (APN)"
3. Enter APN: Orange
4. Restart your phone.
Change & cancellation policies
Please note that the booking cannot be canceled once it is confirmed
The selected date and time cannot be modified after booking.
Important note

[eSIM usage conditions]

1. The device supports eSIM functionality

To check: Open your phone's dial pad and dial *#06#. Generally, if an EID is displayed, your device supports eSIM. If no EID appears, your device does not support eSIM.

2. The phone is not locked to a network

Check method: Confirm with your carrier whether your device is network-locked.

*Please check if the above conditions are met before purchase. The eSIM can only be used normally if all requirements are satisfied.

[Install eSIM]

If you are in an area with eSIM network coverage, we recommend installing the eSIM after arriving at your destination to avoid premature activation of the data package and calculation of the duration, which would shorten your actual usage time. If you are outside the eSIM network coverage area, we suggest connecting to a stable internet connection to install the eSIM in advance (installation within 6 hours before departure is sufficient).

Disable domestic SIM card roaming

Before using eSIM, make sure to disable data roaming on your domestic SIM card to avoid high international roaming charges and traffic conflicts.

Maintaining fair internet usage principles

To maintain internet connection quality and fair usage policy (FUP), telecom companies worldwide may occasionally impose traffic restrictions on customers who consume large amounts of internet data within a short period, which could lead to connection failures or slower speeds. To ensure normal internet access, please avoid prolonged video streaming/downloading, software updates, internet sharing (hotspot), or other high-data-consumption activities.
