Reviews: Kolsai, Kaindy Lakes and Charyn Canyon Small-Group Tour
Guest User2026-05-20
I didn't expect it to be so amazing. Let me start by saying that we were picked up right from our accommodation, so we didn't have to worry about getting ready in the morning. A special "like" for that. It turned out the entire group was made up of foreigners, and it was really interesting with them, as was the wonderful guide Didi, aka Dinara. Huge thanks to Dinara for her work. It wasn't a tour, but a continuous experience. The nature was breathtaking, and we really enjoyed staying in the house for lunch. I recommend everyone buy a tour from Kazakhstan, it's very nice!
Reviews: 1-day tour to Charyn Canyon + Kolsai Lake + Lake Kaindy from Almaty, Kazakhstan
Guest User2026-05-06
The tour itinerary was very well arranged. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of the trip, and we visited two scenic spots in the rain. I could only take photos with my drone during the visit. There was no forced shopping at all throughout the tour; all shopping was completely voluntary. What’s more, I made friends with travelers from many different countries, and they were all incredibly friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable travel experience despite the bad weather.
Reviews: Almaty Charyn Canyon National Park + Charyn River Valley Day Tour in Kazakhstan
Guest User2025-05-06
This itinerary is well-designed, offering a little over 4 hours of activity. The canyon has two areas: the valley and the platform. The 1.2km walk from the entrance to the valley takes about an hour, allowing for sightseeing and photo opportunities. A rest stop at the end usually completes the round trip in about 2 hours. The platform offers a more spectacular view from its elevated position; a downhill walk also takes about 2 hours round trip. Hiking is usually the most convenient way to get there, while taking the shuttle bus back is the most convenient. However, during lunchtime (13:00-14:30), the shuttle bus stops running for an hour, which can be inconvenient for those with limited time. Many returning tourists (who need to get to other attractions like the lake) can't wait and walk or even run back, which is uncomfortable in the scorching sun. The platform shuttle bus is a 4-6 person electric vehicle. If there are no passengers on the outward journey, there will be no return journey. Some tourists take the electric vehicle, get off to take a few photos, and then return the same way, without having time to appreciate the platform's beauty – a real pity. Our driver/guide was a local who speaks Mandarin; he was very kind and helpful, making us feel at ease. The travel agency in Shandong was very responsible. They had a WeChat group before the trip to share information and ensure the trip went smoothly, which deserves praise.
Reviews: One Day Tour to Altyn-Emel: Singing Dune and Aktau Mountain
Guest User2026-04-22
The tour was great, I loved everything. As a first-time traveler, I was a bit apprehensive at times, but I still went along with everyone else. Our group was small – six people. The guide was positive, attentive, and a wonderful singer. He also helped take a million beautiful photos. We also loved the food at the guesthouse, both breakfast and dinner – they were delicious and filling. Thank you all for the great atmosphere, the support, and the good weather!

We traveled around the region, through villages, towns, and mountains. In some places, there was no reception, but that's understandable. In all populated areas, reception was excellent.
