Beautiful late summer day (3/10/2026), nice trip, and learned more about Gouda from skipper Jurgen with a lot of humor. It's great that the boat also has a number of seats in the middle so you can sit straight ahead and look out.

The day trip was very convenient. Our guide, Mr. Yu, was very experienced, provided detailed explanations, and was an excellent driver and boater. The 9-seater van was quite spacious, and the group lunch was delicious. We went on a boat trip to Giethoorn in the morning to avoid the afternoon crowds. The ice cream at the cheese shop in Windmill Village was incredibly delicious.

It is worth it if you spend the whole day going to the museums and canal cruise (at least 2 museum + 1 canal cruise) which might be a bit rushed if you're just there for a short layover. My QR code had issues being scanned after the first museum, not sure why
