Many thanks to Nico and the crew for a wonderful morning trip where we got to see both pilot whales and dolphins. We were rescheduled from 2 days earlier, due to the poor weather, but re-arranging was straightforward and we got plenty of notice. On the day we did get to go out, the crew went out of the way to make sure that we felt at home, that we always had food and drink whenever we needed, and to help explain what we were seeing. We also appreciated that the boat never felt overcrowded and there was plenty of seating. Unlike some of the other operators which looked crammed full of passengers. So, yes you're paying more, but we thought that it was worth it. A bonus was that one of the crew went around to take photos not just of the sea life but also of us.

I booked the excursion an hour before departure. The yacht was in excellent condition. They offered a welcome drink. We saw dolphins, but no whales. We swam in the sea from the yacht. The excursion was worth the money.

The tour was a complete success. Despite several warnings that there's no guarantee of spotting marine life in the open ocean, we were lucky and saw many pilot whales. The guides were in contact with other boats to ensure we had the safest possible experience. They were all incredibly friendly, kept us supplied with drinks the entire time, and spread a lot of cheer. Afterwards, we could even jump into the water in front of Cabo Girão – absolutely perfect! :)

We had originally tried a different company for a whale and dolphin watching tour and had no luck as they just went along the coast line. This company take you out and have spotters telling them where to go! We saw two different pods of pilot whales, stopped to get videos and pictures but kept a respectful distance! It was amazing. The speed boat ride back was hilarious too, it’s so fast. We were out for two hours and it was definitely worth the money! Only a group of 12 of us, and you can snorkel with dolphins if you find a specific species.

Absolutely amazing boat trip and by far the best dolphin and whale watching experience we've ever had. We were lucky enough to see pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic spotted dolphins during the tour. The trip was scheduled to last two hours and we had just started heading back when the captain received a call from a spotter on land. He immediately turned the boat around and headed to the area where a large pod of dolphins had been spotted. What followed was incredible, with dolphins jumping and swimming all around the boat. The crew even extended the trip by around 40 minutes to make sure everyone could enjoy the sighting. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and informative throughout. We've been on several dolphin trips before, but this one exceeded them all. An unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Madeira.
