Wilson, our day tour guide, was fantastic. The itinerary was well-planned and relaxed, allowing us to enjoy ourselves at our own pace. We visited all the major attractions in Ipoh. He knew the best photo spots at each location and enthusiastically helped us take group photos. Along the way, he introduced us to Malaysian culture and customs, giving us a glimpse into the local culture. Although the weather was quite hot and humid, the car's air conditioning was excellent, cooling us down quickly. A truly wonderful experience!

Our tour guide/driver picked us up from the hotel on time. Upon arrival in Ipoh, we visited Mirror Lake and the mural street. For lunch, we went to An Kee Restaurant for bean sprouts and Lai Yuen chicken. After lunch, we went to Concubine Lane. For afternoon tea, we enjoyed white coffee and egg tarts at Nam Heong. Afterwards, we went to Ipoh Railway Station, but due to ongoing renovations, we couldn't explore it in detail. The tour concluded, and we were taken back to the hotel. It was a very pleasant trip.

This is suitable for people who don't want to fly directly from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. The route includes a stopover in Ipoh before reaching Penang, but the overall travel time will be longer.

This day trip from Penang to Ipoh was a fantastic experience! Our driver, Xiao Lin, was incredibly reliable, driving smoothly and safely, familiar with the roads throughout, and always punctual. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to easily visit Concubine Lane, Perak Cave, the pomelo plantation, and Gunung Rai Park. Xiao Lin was excellent at explaining local customs and culture, recommending delicious local food, and even helping us take photos. He managed the time perfectly, neither rushing nor dragging things out. The car was clean and tidy, and the service was patient and attentive. A fantastic experience overall! I highly recommend hiring Xiao Lin when traveling to Penang and Ipoh in Malaysia. Overall, I was very satisfied with the trip!

It is not easy to find a guided tour of the Lenggong Valley. The tour organised by Ipoh Secrets Tours with guides John (for the day) and Faiz (for the caves) was just what we needed. From Ipoh we travelled comfortably by car to the Lenggong Valley where we visited several caves where archaeological excavations have been carried out (including Gua Teluk Kelawar, Gua Ngaum and Gua Asar). As announced, we walked from one cave to the next; good shoes were essential, as the path was in the forest and the ground can be slippery in the caves. On the way back, we visited the Lenggong Archaeological Museum before enjoying a delicious laksa telur sarang in a typical restaurant. The tour also included a very interesting stopover in the royal city of Kuala Kangsar, where we visited the royal mosque and the magnificent "temporary" palace (Muzium Diraja Kuala Kangsar). Our guides were both very knowledgeable and we thank them once again for this wonderful day of discovery.
