Reviews: Houtu temple + Wanrong Jiwang temple + Feiyun tower + Macun brick carvings + Qinglong temple + Fusheng temple 1-day tour
Guest User2026-10-07
On a whim, I decided to visit ancient architecture in southern Shanxi. I booked the tour on Ctrip a day in advance, and since I was traveling alone, I was initially worried about not being able to book a new route. To my surprise, the platform confirmed it very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. This is a newly opened ancient architecture route, featuring Houtu Temple, Jiwang Temple, Feiyun Tower, Song-Jin brick tombs, Qinglong Temple, and Fusheng Temple. It's packed with lesser-known national treasures, avoiding crowds, making it perfect for those who prefer a quieter experience of historical artifacts. I must give a huge shout-out to our driver and guide, Mr. Zhang Zhiqiang! Not only is his driving skill excellent, but he also knows a great deal about historical architecture. His explanations aren't rote recitations; they're humorous and engaging. At each site, he pointed out details and showed me how to appreciate the scenery, ensuring I didn't rush the itinerary and allowing ample time to explore and take photos at my own pace. Mr. Zhang drove smoothly and safely throughout the entire trip, handling both mountain roads and country lanes with great care. I had absolutely no worries while traveling. Along the way, they introduced me to the local customs and culture, pointing out small restaurants frequented by locals. They didn't push shopping; it was a pure, unadulterated experience – very genuine. This new route is very well-planned, with comfortable connections between attractions. It allows you to visit six national treasure-level historical sites in one trip, experiencing the charm of ancient architecture in southern Shanxi all at once. The majestic Houtu Temple, the Northern Song Dynasty main hall of Jiwang Temple, the exquisite wooden structure of Feiyun Tower, the delicate brick carvings of the Song and Jin Dynasty brick tombs, the stunning Yuan Dynasty murals of Qinglong Temple, and the lifelike suspended sculptures of Fusheng Temple – it was an eye-opening experience, completely different from the ancient architecture of Guangdong. Many people think that booking a tour alone is difficult, especially for a newly opened route. I booked a day in advance, thinking it might not be possible, but the tour was successfully completed, which really exceeded my expectations. The whole trip was very worry-free, with no hidden tricks. If you want to explore less-traveled ancient architecture in southern Shanxi, choose this package and contact Master Zhang Zhiqiang; you definitely won't be disappointed. For those interested in traditional Chinese architecture, I highly recommend this!

Reviews: Must-visit in Xinjiang: One-day tour to Tianshan Tianchi from Urumqi | Snow-capped peaks mirroring emerald waters, spruce trees surrounding the heavenly pool

The driver picked us up from our accommodation, and it was a small group tour of five. The kind driver guided us well throughout the journey, and we had an enjoyable trip with good companions. Tianshan Tianchi was a truly beautiful place that everyone should visit at least once. The driver kindly drove us back to the very end, making it a truly delightful trip.

Reviews: Simaguang Memorial Temple + Jiyi Temple + Longxingsi + Jiangzhou Office + Sanguan Temple + Baitai Monastery + Fusheng Temple 1-day tour

Chartering a car is still the best choice for traveling in Yuncheng. The driver is also very important. I forgot to ask the driver's name, but I remember that the license plate number ended in 928. The driver was a very nice person. He also told us about the local customs and culture of Yuncheng on the way. The route planning was also very smooth, and his driving skills were also good. I was very satisfied!
