Dongmen Pedestrian Street
Dongmen Pedestrian Street is located in Luohu District, Shenzhen, commonly known as "Old Dongmen." It is the oldest commercial pedestrian street in Shenzhen, covering a total area of 176,000 square meters, with a history dating back to the "Old Shenzhen Market" of the mid-Ming Dynasty. It is not only the birthplace of Shenzhen's commerce but also the cultural and historical root of the city. After the establishment of Shenzhen in 1979, "Shenzhen" became the city's name, and the original Shenzhen Market was renamed "Dongmen Pedestrian Street."
Dafen Oil Painting Village
Dafen Oil Painting Village is located in Buji Subdistrict, Longgang District, Shenzhen. With a core area of only 0.4 square kilometers, it is globally renowned as "China's No. 1 oil painting village." In 1989, Hong Kong art dealer Huang Jiang recognized the advantages of low costs and proximity to Hong Kong, leading painters to mass-produce replicas of famous world paintings for overseas sales. At its peak, 70% of the world's oil paintings were produced in China, with 80% coming from Dafen Village. The Dafen Art Museum in the village is an important art exhibition venue in Shenzhen. In recent years, Dafen Village has actively transformed from replica production to original painting, attracting over 400 professional painters. It has become a distinctive cultural district integrating creation, production, trade, and tourism.
Xiaomeisha resort
Xiaomeisha is located by Dapeng Bay in Yantian District, Shenzhen, surrounded by mountains on three sides with a crescent-shaped coastline. It enjoys the reputation of being the "Hawaii of the East." The Xiaomeisha resort was established in 1979 as one of the earliest coastal tourist attractions in Shenzhen, with annual visitor numbers once exceeding 2.2 million. Since 2021, Xiaomeisha has undergone comprehensive redevelopment, with a total investment of nearly 20 billion yuan. The plan features a "one-axis, four-zone" spatial structure, encompassing marine-themed amusement areas, ecological parks, and coastal commercial clusters.
Shenzhen Bay Park
Shenzhen Bay Park is located along the coast of Shenzhen Bay in the southwestern part of Shenzhen. It stretches from the Futian Mangrove Bird Nature Reserve in the east to Wanghai Road in the west, with a coastline of approximately 13 kilometers and a total area of about 128.74 hectares. The park consists of two parts: the Mangrove Seaside Ecological Park and the Shenzhen Bay Coastal Leisure Belt. It features 14 themed areas, including Central Bay Sea View Plaza, Egret Slope, North Bay Egret Harbor, Sunrise Theater, and Tidal Wetland. This park is not only an excellent spot to enjoy the sea view of Shenzhen Bay and the mountain ranges of Hong Kong on the opposite shore but also a renowned bird-watching destination in South China, attracting large numbers of migratory birds every year.
