This day trip to the Tengger Desert was a great experience. The desert scenery was spectacular, just as breathtaking as I had imagined. The itinerary was also well-planned, and I had a wonderful time!

This Tengger Five Lakes trek was an absolute gem, and I must highly recommend our guide, Tang Wenshi! He communicated meticulously beforehand, provided punctual pick-up and drop-off, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced, avoiding any rushed sightseeing. Having worked in the desert for many years, Tang knows the entire route and all the lake locations intimately. He even knows the best spots for photos of Ulan Lake, and at every scenic location, he made ample stops for us to take photos, fly, and go sandboarding. His off-road driving skills were superb. The dune bashing was thrilling and exhilarating, with steep slopes and sand dunes traversed with effortless grace, creating a truly immersive experience. Despite the thrill, the ride was remarkably smooth, and even those prone to motion sickness experienced no discomfort. He thoughtfully provided drinking water throughout the trip, constantly monitored everyone's well-being, and carefully reminded us of desert safety precautions, explaining the local topography and the origins of the lakes – a wealth of practical information. He's genuinely kind and approachable, with no hidden agendas. He proactively helped everyone take group photos, offered advice on photo angles, and even took us to less-traveled, secluded spots to avoid the crowds. Witnessing firsthand the breathtaking and healing scenery of colorful lakes scattered amidst the vast desert sands was all thanks to the meticulous planning of our guide, Tang. The entire trip was comfortable and reassuring; he was professional, reliable, and incredibly caring. For any trip to Alashan involving the Five Lakes Trek, choose Tang Wenshi as your guide – you won't regret it! I'll definitely choose him again for my next desert adventure!
