Since it was a small group, the driver picked us up at the hotel on time. The small crowds made the experience very good. The steam train burned coal, and the smoke was a bit dirty. I was covered in fine coal dust when I returned, so I tried not to open my mouth when facing the wind. The penguins were cute, and you could see them up close on the boardwalk. The starry sky was also beautiful. I had already seen the zoo in Brisbane, so I didn't go. I felt that an hour was a bit tight for the zoo. I would like to praise the driver and tour guide, Banban, for his steady driving and also for teaching us some sightseeing tips.

Very good. In the morning, they took us to the beach at Sunset Point to play for an hour. In the evening, we saw little penguins. We were the last group to leave. There were fewer people and the starry sky. The train sat in the front A8. Fortunately, I brought a raincoat to prevent coal slag.

Great day trip, we had a very nice and experienced guide who was also our driver for the whole day. The ride was very smooth and safe. The schedule for the day was with full Programm, but never too stressy, very balanced. We can totally recommend this trip especially to families. Highlight was the penguin parade in the end, our kids loved it (unfortunately no pictures and video allowed)

I had an unforgettable experience on the Puffing Billy and Penguin Island Day Tour with Mr. Terry as our guide. The tour was well-organized with a thoughtfully planned itinerary that allowed us to enjoy each stop at a relaxed pace. The eatery he suggested was excellent and added to the overall experience. Mr. Terry’s deep knowledge, engaging storytelling, and great sense of humor made the journey both informative and entertaining. His professionalism and friendly approach created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. I highly recommend this tour and especially Mr. Terry for anyone looking for a memorable and seamless day out
