Reviews: Dandong pure sightseeing 1-day tour [National Gate + One Step Across + Broken Bridge + Anti-War Museum + cruise] 10-person group
Guest User2026-07-11
I had a fantastic day trip to Dandong through Ctrip! They specially arranged a small group tour for two, and slightly adjusted the order of the itinerary to suit my preferences, making the trip comfortable and relaxing. Our guide, Zhang Yanna, perfectly embodied the warmth and hospitality of Northeasterners. She provided a unique female perspective, explaining the locations along the way, sharing insights into the border region's customs and culture, and showcasing the national gate, the "One Step Across," and a boat trip to admire the scenery on both banks. She was incredibly helpful with taking photos throughout the trip, and the time management was excellent. For first-time visitors to Dandong, it was a very convenient experience. Highly recommended!

Reviews: [Dandong All-Inclusive Tour] - Twin Broken Bridges + Twin Museums + Cruise + National Gate + Andong Pavilion

Xiao He, our tour guide, was excellent, providing thorough explanations. The day's tour covered a lot of historical background, and the time was well-planned. Regarding food and drinks, he only recommended, not forced, offering options that were acceptable and quite delicious. For those we hadn't tried before: the fried dough sticks in Andong Old Street were so-so; the yogurt rice dumplings were quite good; the iced milk was average; the braised meat flatbread was okay, like pizza; and the fried dates were worth trying. For those we had before: the handmade shrimp paste was small and tasted normal; the rice cake was normal; the sushi was normal, but I wouldn't recommend them. Save your room for other things! The historical aspects are undeniable, and having a guided tour is very worthwhile and necessary. The attractions are also better developed than before.

Reviews: [Dandong exquisite 6-person group] Yalu River Broken Bridge + national gate + Hekou cruise 1-day tour
Guest User2026-04-24
The itinerary was well-planned, and the customer service was very responsible. Since taxis in Dandong are often unreliable and try to sell you a car, we chose to book through Ctrip. There was no hard selling throughout the trip, and they didn't take us to any shopping attractions. Overall, I highly recommend it. The only area I think could be improved is the driver's behavior. I wasn't too bothered by the smell of smoke in the car, and the trip wasn't very long, but the driver still smoked while driving (I had already politely mentioned it). I understand this might be common in northern China, but tourists come from all over the country, so this is just a personal suggestion.
