Depart from Cairns for a classic 1-day tour combining train, rainforest and cable car experiences. In the morning, be picked up by a driver and head to Freshwater station to board the historic Kuranda scenic railway to Kuranda. The train passes through sugarcane fields, gorges and tropical rainforests, offering views of North Queensland's diverse natural landscapes.

Upon arrival at Kuranda Village, you can freely explore this rainforest town, visit the bustling Kuranda markets, admire local arts and crafts, or optionally visit Birdworld and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary at your own expense. With a Kuranda boarding pass, you can also enjoy discounted entry to select attractions.

Then take the shuttle to Rainforestation, where you'll experience a unique amphibious army duck vehicle tour in the approx. 40-hectare tropical rainforest park, gain in-depth knowledge about rainforest ecology, and visit the koala and wildlife park. After the tour, return to Kuranda.
