Roy was an absolutely incredible guide, informative friendly and enthusiastic. Everything was really well organised and we had a fantastic evening. We even got the chance to fold our own bao. Come hungry!

Reviews: [GONGYAN ORIENTAL ART·Imperial Feast] Shanghai GONGYAN ORIENTAL ART|Panoramic Immersive Ancient Imperial Culture Banquet Show [Optional Lunch/Dinner + Performance, Time-Traveling "Han Culture" Experience in Shanghai]
Guest User2026-10-17
I really enjoyed the banquet show. The performers were great, and I loved everything from the dancing to the musical instruments. I was also impressed by the atmosphere: the way they greeted guests, the table service—everything was top-notch. The outfits and makeup were done beautifully and quickly. If you like spicy food, you'll love the entire menu. The dishes are delicious, but a bit spicy for Europeans. The show is in Chinese with English subtitles. However, the subtitles aren't shown for all scenes, but you can still get the gist of the performance. The show was so engaging that you barely even noticed the time passing. We highly recommend attending!

Reviews: [Xuyan · imperial feast] Shanghai Xuyan · panoramic immersive ancient culture palace dining show [Tang · chang'an fu / all nations coming to pay homage / Xu · dunhuang / gong fu banquet - multiple themes]
Guest User2026-10-03
A fantastic show. Several very entertaining and visually stunning acts, suspended from cables and fabrics—a beautiful sight. The food was typical Chinese and was good. The costumes and makeup were great, and there are many backdrops for taking photos. Arrive early because if it gets crowded, makeup can take a while.
