In the morning, we will collectively board a comfortable tour bus from the designated meeting point in Kunming city center, heading directly to our first stop, Western Hills. Western Hills boasts an extremely high forest coverage rate and rich vegetation layers, showcasing different shades of green throughout the seasons, from low shrubs to tall trees. As we slowly ascend along the well-maintained hiking trails, we can enjoy the fresh mountain air and admire diverse plant communities, occasionally hearing birdsong, which adds to the natural charm. Upon reaching the summit of Western Hills, a breathtaking panorama unfolds before us: Dianchi Lake, like a sapphire, is set into the landscape, and the cityscape of Kunming, a tapestry of modern architecture and traditional styles, stretches out as far as the eye can see. The views, both near and far, are distinct and incredibly expansive.
As the journey comes to an end, head to the Yunnan Nationalities Village. This attraction meticulously recreates the settlements of multiple ethnic minorities in Yunnan through lifelike landscapes. Each village has its own unique character, with architectural styles that blend the wisdom and aesthetics of various ethnic groups—from stilt houses to log cabins, and from earthen dwellings to wooden structures, showcasing diverse forms. Visitors can stroll between the villages, exploring characteristic dwellings, traditional craft displays, and folk performances to gain an up-close understanding of each group's history, lifestyle, and customs. Every step offers a new perspective on Yunnan's rich ethnic diversity.
After the tour concludes, the driver will safely return you to the designated location in Kunming city center where the group will disband.
