Lovely hotel, well located with spacious room, comfortable bed and great service. Enjoyed my short stay and would happily return!

Service is excellent! I absolutely love the idea of shuttle bus service as it is slightly away from the central area. The front desk arranged my luggage to be placed in the room upon my arrival. The room itself is clean and tidy. They play harp, and give away free cotton candy in the afternoon. I made two seperate bookings and enjoyed both room style.

Very beautiful hotel! Situated at Wynyard Quarter, easy to walk to CBD / Ferry Terminal with plenty of good restaurants around (Auckland Fish Market is also just next-door). View (especially night view) is fantastic. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is spacious. Breakfast is yummy yummy with lots of choices! (Enjoy the stay very much but forgot to take more nice photos inside the room during day time…）

Very nice hotel with good location and convenient free parking. However two requests to fix malfunctioning fridge failed to materialise in anything. Every morning just around 8am a cart would also roll around outside my room making a lot of noise and waking me up.

Location: First off, the location is excellent. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the harbor, a 5-minute stroll to the bustling commercial district, and a 7-minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Within 10 minutes, you'll find two large supermarkets and numerous Chinese restaurants. Amenities: The hotel room comes fully equipped with kitchenware, including a microwave. What's even more impressive is that there's a washer and dryer right in the room! Highly recommend! Service: The front desk is staffed 24 hours, and the staff were quite friendly. After paying online, a 75 yuan deposit is required at check-in.

I was a bit worried before booking after seeing the lower ratings, but I was very satisfied with my stay. All the hotel staff I encountered were very friendly, and the room was clean. I booked a package that included breakfast and dinner, and the three-course à la carte dinner offered great value for money. It's about an 8-9 minute drive from the airport (we had a rental car).

We stayed in a family room, and overall the experience was great, except for the breakfast! It had two rooms with a kitchen, very spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff were also good. The only downside was the breakfast service. On that day, there were two Korean tour groups, and they were seated before breakfast even officially started. We, as individual guests, were told there were no seats and asked to come back an hour later (breakfast was from 7 to 9 AM, and we arrived promptly at 7 AM). Since we didn't have time to wait an hour, we stood there waiting for a table. Eventually, the first group of over 40 people left, and then the second group of 20 arrived right after! The food wasn't refilled, nor were the paper cups or tea bags. The coffee machine was broken, and there was only one small home-style hot water dispenser, which was clearly insufficient for 50 people. The waiter then brought another electric kettle from somewhere, and when I poured hot water, I saw black flakes – I realized the iron heating element inside was rusty and flaking off... A lot of people had already drunk from it (it was terrifying). In the end, I only ate an apple and drank a cup of tea. There was only one server, nowhere near enough to manage two large tour groups. No one was clearing tables, and the situation for us individual guests was even worse. Another plus was the free airport shuttle bus. So, apart from the breakfast experience, everything else was very good. Free parking was also available.

The airport shuttle service is a lifesaver, and the fact that they'll hold onto my car for over 10 days is incredibly helpful. If I have an early morning flight and a short international trip, staying here and leaving my car saves a lot on parking fees. They even accommodate airport transfers in the middle of the night or early morning, which is a huge convenience. I definitely plan on staying here again whenever I use the airport. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's perfectly adequate for just a place to sleep. Considering the airport shuttle and car storage, it's a fantastic hotel.

We just had an unexpectedly delightful experience at the Waiheke Island Motel, so much so that we added another night because we simply couldn't get enough of the place! Our stay began with a minor hitch: arriving late in the evening to find our pre-booked studio room was locked. However, the way the night manager and the team handled this was truly remarkable. They quickly resolved the issue by giving us a significant, stress-free upgrade to a spacious whole house with four bedrooms instead of our original studio. This immediate, generous response demonstrated exceptional hospitality and turned a potential frustration into the highlight of our trip. The motel's location is ideal; it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, yet it's in very close proximity to both the shops and the beach. We appreciated the on-site pool and the spa options, and the minute's walk down to the community Saturday market was a fantastic bonus. Our only piece of constructive feedback relates to the spa itself—unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which was a slight disappointment. Despite the minor issue with the spa, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodation, and prime location mean we had a fantastic trip. Crucially, the price was quite reasonably priced compared to other places on Waiheke, offering excellent value for money. We will definitely return to Waiheke Island Motel!
