View fantastic. Even though furniture old, but still clean. During shower, the button seem not work, lazy to press it during shower, so we go to bath tab shower. The mattress very hard btw, but still ok to sleep tho. Will come back again. View so pretty

Overall, the hotel is good, especially because of its convenient location near a shopping mall, making it easy to purchase daily necessities and other items. The breakfast café is spacious and offers a wide variety of food choices. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. While the breakfast selection is extensive, the taste of the food was somewhat disappointing and could be enhanced. In addition, the cleanliness of the room needs more attention. The floor felt dusty, as if it had not been properly swept or vacuumed. Guests who are not comfortable wearing the hotel slippers may notice the dust more easily. With improvements to room cleanliness and food quality, the overall guest experience would be much better.

Families, promise me you'll book this terrace room, okay?!!! Walking into the room and pulling back the curtains to reveal the sea view made every long flight worth it. All the hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always smiling. The room was clean and tidy, and entering it felt cool and smelled lovely. Opening the windows in the evening to watch the sunset was truly relaxing and delightful; it really set the vacation mood! The welcome fruit, especially the apple, was so delicious – sweet, tangy, and crisp (I honestly never liked apples back home). The breakfast selection was also very rich, and the taste was quite good. Remember to try the iced freshly squeezed orange juice outside the door! 💕

The water in the hotel's area is heavily polluted; it's so dirty that snorkeling is completely out of the question! The front desk staff were very perfunctory with guest requests and didn't follow through on promises. In the morning, we requested a private boat tour for island hopping and snorkeling. We discussed the time and itinerary with the dive center staff and finalized the price with the front desk. We even altered our subsequent travel plans for this. However, by 4 PM, we still hadn't received confirmation. When we called the front desk, they told us they couldn't arrange it. We asked several people, and got different explanations: first they said there were no boats, then that other guests had already been arranged for island hopping, and then that there would be a storm the next day (which turned out to be perfectly calm). I suggest the hotel improve its island hopping service. For those looking to dive, definitely don't consider this hotel! Also, the beach is incredibly tiny, barely palm-sized!

The location is super close to the ferry terminal. Downstairs, right across the street, there's a KFC, Starbucks, and 7-Eleven, which is really convenient. The front desk staff were very patient. The only drawback is that the room is a bit old-fashioned. However, the hotel's exterior looks upscale and grand.

The staff friendliness is just amzing 10/10. Excellent Service.Our room had amazing view of the sea and opposite resort called Gayana. Dinner: Only Buffet option is available and its about RM167/person +taxes. The spread are fairly good and it is delicious. Though they do have 2 more different Restaurant in the island,Japanese and fine dining. Breakfast: Included in the room price. Menu changes daily. I have nothing to complaint about the room,for us its comfortable.All rooms have exactly the dane Designs the only difference is where it is located. You are paying for the view. Activities: For me I think 3 days 2 nights are perfect to spend your time here, swimming by the pool,kayaking,snorkling,Jungle trekking, visiting the private beach. 1 hour complimentary use of snorklinh masks. I like the public guests showers and towel provided.Very convinient. One thing that I would like to comment is the boat fees are relatively very expansive.15 mins speedboat per person one way cost about Rm80+taxes..Just return trip cost RM170++ per person. This is not even including island conservation fees and tourist fees. All this added fees makes the Hotel cost more expansive. Because a boat trip to nearby or same Island cost only Rm40. GAYANA ECO RESORT provided inclusive/complimentary return boat fees. I hope the Management can improve this because we as Guests are going to spend more money on F&B and at the Bar. Last but not least I would like to compliment the service and staffs in thsi Resort I think they did such an amazing job. Overalö the Resort is beautiful andclose to the nature.

🏨Location Located in the suburbs of Kota Kinabalu, it's about an hour's drive from the airport or city center, with a Grab ride costing over 70 MYR. The beach is incredibly vast, though a bit far from the hotel itself. The sand is quite fine, and the sunsets are beautiful. 🛌Facilities The hotel was renovated in 2015, and being by the sea, the decor and facilities are naturally a bit dated, but still acceptable. The basic room type includes a sunken living area with a sofa bed, which is very convenient for families with children. The bathroom is small and has no bathtub. The bedding can feel a bit damp, a common issue with beachfront hotels. The balcony offers a slight sea view. Overall, it's decent and better than expected. 🛝Activities This hotel truly excels in its wide range of activities (Images 13-15), available daily, some free and some paid. The various hiking options are quite interesting, though a bit pricey. Additionally, the hotel has a large Kids Club that offers childcare. There are also many children's play facilities on the lawn, and the two swimming pools have water slides, making it perfect for young children transitioning to school. Next to the lobby, there's a Game Area with various board games, a pool table, and a table tennis table. The hotel also boasts an 18-hole golf course, ensuring you won't get bored even without kids. 🍝Dining The biggest drawback of this hotel is its dining options. Being in the suburbs, there aren't many restaurants nearby, and the hotel's own restaurants are naturally expensive and not very good. Our Grab driver recommended a restaurant called Da Di, about 3 km away. The seafood there was incredibly fresh; the chili crab and deep-fried marbled goby were excellent, though a bit pricey. You can also order food delivery via Grab, so staying for two or three nights is perfectly fine. Breakfast is also quite extensive. 💁Service All the services expected of a five-star hotel are provided. The only uncomfortable part was the front desk staff's persistent attempts to upsell room upgrades during check-in. Other than that, there were no issues, and most of the staff were very warm and attentive. Overall, the experience was quite good. The minor flaws don't overshadow its merits, and it offers great value for money. Friends visiting Sabah should definitely give it a try!

Hotel location is close to Gaya Street and convenient. The sunrise view are also pretty But the only downside is no free parking which need to pay by hour rate if park inside the building unless you able to find road side public car park lots to park. But must download Sabah smart parking app to make payment.

The hotel facilities are outdated, and the hygiene is just average. The soundproofing is particularly bad; when I checked in, it sounded like people arguing next door were right in my ear. Every morning around 7:30 AM, I'd be woken up, and you could clearly hear people talking in the hallway. There were no towels or a hairdryer initially, but they were quickly brought up after I asked. I also reported that the pillowcases weren't clean, and they replaced them. The service attitude was very good, though. A big plus is the free self-service laundry room with LG washer-dryers, but they take a very long time, making it hard to wait. Overall, paying nearly 500 RMB during the off-season wasn't worth it; it felt more like a 100 RMB standard in China. The breakfast selection was limited, and the plain congee was too salty. Hope they can improve these things.

Room filtered water has an unpleasant odor. Sutera Avenue lack of management maintenance, parking basement is dirty and dark, corridor amd lift also dirty.
