Our stay at The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo was nothing short of unforgettable — an experience that felt less like checking into a hotel and more like stepping into a world of genuine care and effortless luxury. From the very first moment, the reception staff welcomed us with warmth and grace, guiding us not just through the check-in process, but through the very heart of Cairo itself. Their thoughtful recommendations and attentive guidance turned our trip into something so much more than a vacation — they made it feel like a homecoming in a city we had just met.
The rooms were immaculate, the amenities refined, and the service nothing less than flawless. Every corner of the property seemed to carry with it a sense of elegance, yet what truly elevated our stay was the spirit of the people working there.
Breakfast each morning was a celebration. The food was fresh, abundant, and delicious, but it was the serving staff who transformed it into something memorable. With kindness in every gesture and attentiveness in every moment, they anticipated our needs before we could even ask. The way they greeted us with smiles, remembered our preferences, and treated us with genuine care turned a simple meal into a highlight of our day.
The Nile Ritz-Carlton is not just a hotel — it is an orchestra of hospitality, with every member of staff playing their part to perfection. To the reception team who guided us, and the breakfast staff who brightened our mornings, thank you for showing us what true hospitality means. This is more than a place to stay; it is an experience that lingers long after you’ve left, and one we can’t wait to return to.
The room decor and facilities were quite new, and the service was excellent. The fresh juice was delicious! However, the bathroom's soundproofing isn't great; it seems to be right next to the adjacent room's bathroom. On the second night, after lying down, the next room suddenly started playing what sounded like Arabic or Indian music continuously in their bathroom. I could hear it clearly while in bed and couldn't sleep at all. After contacting the housekeeper, they were quite effective in negotiating with the neighbors to stop playing the 'divine music' publicly.
The team is customer oriented. Everyone is focusing to give you a special experience. Breakfast can be improved. The room very clean. Service top. I recommend!!!
The room was a bit small, and there was a strange smell coming from one side of the bed, though I couldn't pinpoint the source. The shower knob was incredibly stiff; I had to use all my strength just to turn it on. The worst part was check-in. After a 10-hour flight, I arrived at the hotel around 1 PM, only to be told the room wasn't ready and I'd have to wait 45 minutes. So I waited. An hour later, I checked again, and it still wasn't ready. Another 30 minutes went by, and when I inquired again, I was told it still wasn't ready. Meanwhile, other guests were checking in at the front desk, and none of them seemed to be waiting. It wasn't until past 3 PM, on my fourth attempt, that the front desk initially told me to wait again. I then mentioned that the lobby air conditioning was too cold and I wasn't feeling well. Only then did the front desk say 'Okay...' and promptly made our room cards. It really felt like they had rooms available but just weren't giving them out...
The bed and pillows were good; I slept very well for both nights.
However, there was always a loud noise in the middle of the night... It sounded like huge pipes or some machinery running.
The room came with a universal adapter, which was a thoughtful touch.
Stayed for 4 nights. Upon check-in I asked the man at the reception if anything else was needed as normally a deposit would be taken. Was told that everything was fine. On the 2nd night we decided to have dinner at the restaurant at the lobby. Food was not prepared as I requested as I ordered steak. The waiter insisted that I sliced through the middle to check it as I ordered medium rare. He agreed that it was overcooked. Took it back and said that they would prepare another order. However, 5minutes later he sent the same steak back to me and mentioned that they checked under proper lighting and it was cooked properly. It was very obvious that it was definitely overcooked and dry. I just accepted it and couldn’t be bothered. Mind you the fries that came with the steak was over fried and hard as rock. I didn’t even eat another piece after trying it. Halfway through chewing on the hard and dry steak. The waiter decided to come back again and ask if everything was fine and if I didn’t like it they could cook me another piece. This was just frustrating and I didn’t want to wait anymore as it was late and I was tired from a full day tour. Finally finished my dinner and asked for the bill. I signed it to the room. The waiter comes back and tells me that I didn’t put a deposit in the room so I had to pay. Mind you I brought no cards or cash since I expected that I could bill to the room. One of us ended up going back to the room to take money to pay for the meal which was embarrassing and unacceptable for our standards. We were staying for 4 nights. On our last night of stay, we came back to the hotel and we were locked out of the room. Had to go back to reception and found out that the person who checked us in didn’t put the correct number of nights. This was truly a disgrace on Waldorf and the receptionist. Obviously your staff at the check in need more training. I have stayed in many international hotels around the world and never face such lowly trained staff at reception that make such mistakes which spoils the image of the hotel.
However, I have to give a huge shoutout to a few people that made my days great. Menna and Apeeo from breakfast were wonderful. Impeccable service from them. However, male staffs showed poor knowledge and were quite lazy as they were more interested in chatting that serving customers. Bellman Sherif was wonderful helping us check out with our luggages and even waited with us for our transport.
A very pleasant experience, perfect in every way.
Special praise to the reception manager Abdel Fatah Mohamed for answering the phone even though he was on leave and leading an excellent team to find my lost coat quickly. Thank you very much 🙏👍👍
Highly recommended to stay and enjoy your holiday.
If we consider Egyptian standards, this hotel in Cairo is probably one of the best. If we refer to the European standards of 5-star Kempinski hotels, there would be a lot to correct. From the fact that the staff should respects privacy (they just walk into the room, while I were naked going to shower and then leave, without apologizing and laughing loudly), to the fact that there is a glass screen in the shower (same in 3 different rooms) leaking water, floods the bathroom or, say, the security service harassing you at 2 in the morning because of a ”suspicious” item in the suitcase, although the same thing was in the suitcase of the previous two arrivals and no one paid attention (it was a steam iron). In general, the staff is forced to be polite and they are very slow. Just a very kind restaurant receptionist and one nice waiter in Osman restaurant. I believe that this is the maximum that Kempinski manages to achieve in terms of its own standards considering the mentality of Egypt.
Decent hotel always very busy due to competitive pricing.
Many rooms have lovely river views as its one of the very few hotels with no road inbetween. However, this location also leaves it a taxi rather than walk to anything around it, local shops, cafes, bars etc.
Overall the place is comfortable with a good standard of service. Our biggest disapointment was the hotel food, average at best and USD20pp for a not great buffet breakfast, we only tried it once!
I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The service was warm and attentive, the facilities were well-maintained, and the atmosphere made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout my stay. Everything from the room cleanliness to the quality of amenities exceeded my expectations, making my visit truly enjoyable. I would gladly return and recommend this place to others.
My stay at Sofitel Downtown Cairo was genuinely pleasant and absolutely worth the money. The hotel delivers a high standard of comfort, but what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional staff.
Special thanks to Ahmed Zakarya at the front desk for his professionalism and warm welcome. Appreciation as well to Shaker from housekeeping for his attentiveness and consistency.
I would also like to extend special thanks to the ladies at Solana, the breakfast restaurant—Zakeyh and Hanan—who are truly the gems of the restaurant. Their kindness, energy, and attention to detail made breakfast a highlight of each day.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay, driven by excellent service and a strong hospitality culture. I would gladly stay here again.

Very Good
3320255****This hotel is very close to Cairo International Airport and has a great atmosphere, even with peacocks roaming the grounds. I chose a ground-floor room with a courtyard, which was right across from the pool. There are also various restaurants offering different cuisines nearby.
11392341****Connected to Terminal 3 by a sky bridge, you can walk directly from the terminal across the parking lot to the hotel without ever going outside. The room was spacious and soundproof (could barely hear any planes taking off or landing), the bedding was clean, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. My only regret is that my stay was too short; my flight was delayed the night before and I didn't arrive until almost midnight, then I left right after breakfast the next morning.
GGuest UserI loved my experience in the hotel, it has an Egyptian taste and touch.. I will diffidently would re-stay at this hotel.. for my next visit to Cairo.
RricksterI needed to stay here for a business trip. The good points are the consistently high quality of the St. Regis rooms, the abundant breakfast, and I loved the swimming pool.
The downside is the location. The new capital city is so new; the nearest shopping mall is a 30-minute drive away, and because it's so new, even ride-hailing services are hard to find. The hotel only has two restaurants.
GGuest UserThe staff of this hotel was not good, At about 8 PM in the evening, the hotel front desk staff called the room and said that the hotel we booked only allows one person to stay. If two people stay, they need to add an additional fee of 70 US dollars. Very unlogic, so I leave my friend and I booked another hotel.but the facilities and environment is good .only their service is bad
GGuest UserI caught the early flight to the airport. I had a few simple breakfasts and went to the lobby. After waiting for the arrival of the shuttle bus, I found that I accidentally left the passport bag and there was cash in the restaurant bag. After a while, the staff helped me deliver it very much. But later, when I got off the plane and exchanged money, I found that the cash inside must have lost the cash banknote of 250💶. The whole passport bag in Egypt was with me all the way. I lost almost ten minutes at this moment, and then unfortunately I had to end my trip to Egypt. I have left a message to the hotel to adjust the monitoring, but I don't know if there is any feedback and whether it can be found. At present, people have been to Tunisia to play, and the cash euros for the hotel are not enough!
GGuest UserA very pleasant experience, perfect in every way.

GGuest UserClose to the airport, which is convenient for business travelers catching flights. The price is affordable, and the service is excellent. I frequently choose this hotel for my trips to Egypt. Personally recommended!
WWanderingDervishI had a conference in new cairo and also wanted to stay close to AUC. This hotel is very new and has all the amenities you need. Honestly i was very surprised by the quality of the furniture as its really good for Cairo standards.
Bed is super comfortable, you have a microwave and really good television. Safe and place to place your luggage as well. i was on the 4th floor. very quiet too.
it also has a gym and a pool which i didnt try but looks very well kept.
I just hope that the cleanliness and standards maintain throughout the years as new hotels usually start well but later the quality goes down.
