Guest UserAfter comparing a few hotels, I still decided to go with Sofitel! And I'm so glad I did, it was a truly nice experience. Firstly, the hotel has a fantastic design; it doesn't feel old or dated at all, and the facilities are impeccably maintained, definitely five-star standard. Secondly, the billiard and ping-pong rooms are a real highlight! Thirdly, the service was incredibly thoughtful. It just so happened to be my birthday during my stay, and my butler, Xiao Qi, thoughtfully delivered a birthday cake – I was truly touched!

This hotel is conveniently located right off G315 National Road, just past Dongtaijinair Lake, and very close to the Water Yadan. The hotel's architecture is designed to look like an alien space base, with pure white, hexagonal star-shaped 'starry sky' villas. The breakfast offers a great variety: hot rice noodles, bread, dairy products, porridge, and delicious Northwestern side dishes – enough to fill you up and get you ready for an early start. It's surrounded by Yadan desert on three sides, and we even saw some convoys off-roading in the Gobi. There's also a Yadan slide at the entrance, which is perfect for kids. They offer 24-hour butler service that's incredibly responsive. We also received three complimentary coffee vouchers. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again!

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and well-designed, spotlessly clean, and completely odor-free. The bed was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water, with all the essential amenities provided. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and friendly. The location is super convenient for transportation, yet the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. It’s definitely an excellent choice for a trip.
The hygiene was top-notch; there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and the room was well-ventilated with a comfortable temperature. The soundproofing was fantastic, making for a truly quiet night's rest. The facilities were excellent, with soft, pleasant lighting. The staff were responsive and friendly. This hotel offers much better value for money than others in its price range, and I would genuinely recommend it and definitely return.

ShaibuheidexiaogangpaoQuite a peculiar experience. On the first day, we were told there were gas repairs and hot water would only be available from 6 PM. However, by midnight, there was still no hot water. After a tiring day of travel, all we wanted was a hot shower, but it was impossible. To top it off, the pipe under the sink in our room was leaking. We had to switch rooms. We were too tired to bother moving again, so we just made do. Overall, it's pretty average, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited. I hope things improve in the future.

My Travel FormulaThe hotel is clean, location is great to the nearby supermarket, shopping malls and the wildlife park. Many restaurants around. It would be great if there's dryer attached with washing machine. Breakfast is great, blended with both western and Chinese selections. I came back to stay with Sebel after my previous stay because of the friendly and informative stuffs who have helped me with the luggages and check in. However, why I rated the service with lower point because after I came back to stay for 2 consecutive nights, we have encountered different stuffs that gave totally opposite vibes, which were arrogant and no greetings, no smile.

F SheikhThe rooms are very big and spacious! Really helps one feel relaxed.
The only problem we experienced was that there was a smoke smell in our rooms which was a surprise given we had selected non smoking rooms. The hotel staff made things right though immediately after we complained by switching our rooms.
The rest of our stay was great.
The location is pretty good with a lot of halal eating options nearby.

Guest UserWho knows, family members! This time I stayed in a hotel that can be called a ”dream love shop”, and I must recommend it to everyone! As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby, the gorgeous and warm decoration directly captured me, and the fragrance smelled just right, instantly driving away the fatigue of the journey. The facilities and equipment are brand new and complete, the location is very good, the front desk lady 71 is super enthusiastic, the check-in is fast and considerate, and she also took the initiative to upgrade the room type, which is full of favorability!

This hotel is my top choice when staying in the city center. Its prime location makes getting around incredibly easy, and with the airport shuttle stopping right outside, catching a flight is a breeze. The rooms are well-equipped and functional, and the staff are friendly and proactive, handling all requests efficiently. The views from the high-floor rooms are exceptional; the city lights up beautifully at night, making for a truly comfortable stay. I highly recommend it!
My only minor quibbles were with one of the cleaning staff. I asked for water twice but only received it the first time. The second time, she insisted she had already provided it. Some additional training might be beneficial there. Also, due to Qinghai's dry climate, a humidifier was necessary, but I noticed some limescale inside, so hygiene in that area could be improved.
On a positive note, the front desk lady was absolutely wonderful and very thoughtful. She reminded us to buy oxygen canisters in the city for emergencies.

Guest UserThe stay experience exceeded expectations! The hotel has a modern design, spacious and bright rooms, and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a panoramic view of the city. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom has perfect details of dry and wet separation, and the toiletries are high-end and exquisite. All the fatigue along the way is swept away! The front desk was warm and thoughtful, and gave us an upgraded room. The breakfast was rich, and the local yogurt and mutton soup noodles were must-try. The combination of Chinese and Western food satisfied the taste buds. The location is convenient, it only takes 20 minutes to drive to Ta'er Monastery, and there is convenient parking nearby. The details are carefully considered and it is highly recommended to travelers who pursue quality!

LiminhaoHands down, the most unique hotel on the Qinghai-Gansu Loop! The butler, a lovely young lady, was incredibly helpful. We initially booked the wrong room type, and she patiently assisted us in sorting it out – though the front desk computer was a bit slow. We ended up in an RV, which, while not huge, was clean and cozy, equipped with a fridge, wardrobe, toilet, and shower. Even the shower gel and shampoo were from L'Occitane! Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety. When we checked in yesterday, we also received vouchers for a slide experience and coffee. After breakfast, my friend and I tried the slide; it was both safe and exciting, though the only downside was the tiring climb up a steep dirt slope. There's a Nowwa Coffee in the hotel complex, and we got a 25 RMB voucher (for coffee or ice cream), but currently, they only serve coffee. An Americano, for example, didn't require any extra payment. The complex also has many beautiful green salt lakes, giving it a mini Qarhan Salt Lake vibe. Last night, as we checked in, the hotel was setting off fireworks and hosting a bonfire party. Unfortunately, by the time we finished checking in, the activities had already ended. We're continuing our Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop journey this afternoon, and I regret missing out on the desert bonfire. I hope to experience it next time! All in all, a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!
