Each floor has a bathroom, and the kitchen is very well-equipped with pots, pans, and all sorts of utensils, plus a dishwasher. I even put my own bowl in to wash and forgot to take it out! I didn't have breakfast, but it smelled really good. It's quite close to the bus terminal; there's an underpass. On the first day, I got a bit lost and had to go around in circles to find it. Just a heads-up, remember to bring your own disposable slippers!
Perfect location for a quick stop in Reykjavik. It’s not the cleanest of places (kitchen sink and stove was a bit dirty, but hey… what do you expect? It’s very clean compared to other hostels/hotels with shared kitchens like this!) but still worth every penny. I’d go there again any time. They do have a cozy library. All in all I really do like the vibe of the place 🫶🏻
Nice experience. I booked Fosshotel Raudara and Lind for my trip this time. For the same company Fosshotel I experienced two distinct service. This Raudara is a nice one! Thumb up for them. Staff are friendly and helpful!
Rooms are clean, nice breakfast start from 6.30am and with lift.
Fosshotel Lind just opposite this hotel. Staff not friendly and helpful at all, rooms are ok but small toilet.Their breakfast starts from 7am, and they only packed 4 sets of packed breakfast daily if you didn’t inform them before 12pm, there is nothing their staff can do for you.
So if you are considering this Fosshotel Raudara or Lind, definitely go for Fosshotel Raudara!
Environmental location: The hotel is located in the city center or the seaside. It is surrounded by attractions, shopping malls and dining streets. The transportation is very convenient. It is close to the bus station and the pier. It is suitable for tourists to explore the local scenery on foot. Most travelers emphasize its superior location, fast access to major sightseeing areas and shopping centers, and there are supermarkets and other living facilities around, improving the convenience of living.
Facilities and sanitation: The rooms are clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds, adequate storage space and modern appliances. Some rooms provide spacious space and sound insulation to ensure the quality of the accommodation. Service quality: The front desk staff is friendly and professional, and can actively assist passengers in planning their itinerary, providing transportation information and solving sudden needs. Service processes are efficient, such as fast check-in and check-out procedures.
Facilities: There's no kettle in the room, but you can request one from the front desk. There's plenty of parking available right in front of the hotel.
Environment: The surroundings are great, with a wide main road right outside, making transportation convenient. We even saw the Northern Lights right outside the hotel on our first day in Iceland!
This hotel was the most satisfying I stayed at in Iceland. The overall cleanliness was up to standard, and it even had a bathtub. The staff were enthusiastic, and the breakfast was rich and varied. The biggest advantage is that Bus Stop 12 is right outside the door. If you're in Iceland and not doing a multi-day tour, but rather booking different day tours daily, Bus Stop 12 is a station all buses can reach, which is incredibly convenient! Highly recommended.
The waiter can't have an extra bed after work, give us a bigger room, the surrounding is quite convenient, the hotel restaurant is OK, but prefer other restaurants around, the room is very clean and new, suitable for parents. The room is large and the hotel design is very beautiful, Nordic style. very quiet. There is an Icelandic Immigration History Museum downstairs, don't miss it.
Overall, it was okay. The receptionist was nice, and the facility was quite good as well. However, please note that parking is limited. If you arrive too late, you may need to park outside, where payment is required until 9 PM.
