The scenery is stunning, and the location is unbeatable, but those with sensitive sleep should proceed with caution.
My stay at the Nofort Hotel in Chile was a bittersweet experience. Let's start with the pros.
The most breathtaking aspect was the view! The hotel is by the sea, and the ocean-view rooms offer unparalleled vistas. On a clear day, you can clearly see the snow-capped mountains to the east, and the sunsets are so beautiful you don't want to leave the hotel. You could easily spend an entire day just sitting by the window watching the sea, the mountains, and the sunset. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, and I especially want to praise the table – it's enormous, perfect for business travelers, and very easy to use.
Regarding service, the front desk and reception staff were extremely welcoming and responsive, day and night. One night, the heating was on too high (it gets unbearably hot here in winter), and I woke up at 2 AM feeling sweltering. I went to the front desk for help, and the staff on duty immediately brought me a cooling device – their service was excellent.
The location is also impeccable: the back door leads directly to the largest shopping mall in the area, and the supermarket is just a 30-second walk away, making it extremely convenient for both tourists and business travelers. Of course, the drawbacks are also quite obvious. If you're a bit of a nerd like me, you might want to think twice:
1. Poor breakfast experience: The restaurant is small, and there are too many tourists, making it difficult to find a seat.
2. Severe noise problem: The hotel is right next to a main road by the sea, and even with the windows closed and earplugs on, the traffic noise is still overwhelming. Even worse, sports cars frequently speed through the streets at night, with deafening engines that severely disrupt sleep.
3. Overheating: In winter, the indoor temperature is like an oven. Although the staff helped resolve the issue, that night was truly unbearable.
In summary: If you're not sensitive to your sleeping environment, or if you prioritize views and convenience, this hotel is definitely worth staying at. However, if you need a quiet sleep like I did, be sure to bring earplugs and noise-canceling equipment, or simply avoid rooms facing the road. I chose this hotel for a business trip because of its office space and location; if I were to come back, I might still have some reservations.
Recommended for: Tourists obsessed with sea views, business people needing a large desk, and shopaholics.
Not recommended for: People severely sensitive to noise, and those who prefer quiet sleep.
Hope this review helps!

In general, no weak point, the food was very good in the restaurant, the friendliness of all the outstanding staff, the heated pool was very pleasant, the state-of-the-art gym invited you to continue practicing without getting tired... The wonderful breakfast, the rooms with a beautiful view, and completely acoustic... We will return to the Marriott in Puerto Montt, Chile. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel is in a spectacularly wonderful location, overlooking the lake. The only drawbacks for us were the beds (which were single beds), and the restaurant.
The buffet breakfast was fine, but that's where it came to a grinding halt was., unfortunately. Items on the menus were not available, and the quality of the food
was below par.
It's a shame because a hotel with wonderful views like that should have a good chef and a bustling restaurant. I don't know, but I don't think it got any external guests while we were there and if so, that would be the reason. I hasten to add that we did not eat any of the Chilean dishes on the menu, just the standard Western fare of pizzas or toasted sandwiches.
But the staff were wonderful - particularly Martin in the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful.

To be honest, Puerto Montt is not a great place to stay - it's a port city with not a lot going for it, other than it's close to the lakes district, and there's a ferry service that continues the road south to Patagonia. The hotel is similarly lack luster. The best bet is to move on to the lakes when you arrive at the airport, if that's where you're headed, and avoid Puerto Montt altogether. But if you're getting the ferry and need to stop overnight then the hotel is fine.

An excellent place to spend time in Puerto Varas. Clean and comfortable, with amazing views into the lake and volcanoes. Its location allows to use public transportation to move along the lake and city's downtown, allowing a good connection to many different touristic points and different towns along the lake (namely Ensenada, Petrohué, Frutillar, Puerto Montt, among others).

The hotel itself was lovely and very warm and comfy. The restaurant isn't in the same building, but not a drama, but for our supper we got charged nearly 100 thousand pesos, ny partners had eaten his food before I got my steak, out potatoes and chips were cold, and by time my steak finally arrived my chips were totally cold. Breakfast was fine and plentiful.

Hotel is modern. Has one handicapped room. No air conditioning. Great water pressure on shower. Firm bed. Great big flat-screen TV. OK Breakfast. Free parking. Pool was a bit cloudy, thought it might need some more chemicals so we stayed out... Road noise at night is horrible. Need screens on windows to keep bugs out.
