Located about a 5-minute walk from the train station, it's a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle. Check-in was at 9:30 PM, and they gave me the key right away. A lifesaver! I desperately needed some sleep after an all-night flight. The room was very spacious, definitely larger than the advertised 29 square meters. The view from the window was lush and green, very soothing. The TV had a radio station for music. There was a capsule coffee machine; two cups a day were a great way to stay awake. There was a refrigerator and a wine and beer opener—a welcome addition for a drinker like me.

Very small room with no amenities provided. Make sure bring your toothbrush and no kettle, cup too. 15 mins walk to city centre, not bad. But very closed to the rail station and intercity bus station.

The hotel room was neat. The breakfast is very good. We were here between Christmas and New Year's Eve and that meant that the bar on the ground floor was closed. The sky bar has a limited offer at much higher prices. The view (highway, industrial estate) is not a reason to choose the sky bar.

My stay at the Ibis (Accor) hotel was generally okay, but I was surprised by the absence of basic amenities such as slippers, toothpaste, and a toothbrush, which I have come to expect from other Ibis properties. The team was very lovely and helpful, but I wasn't informed about the missing amenities at check-in. Additionally, my room remained very cold despite adjusting the AC to warm mode. I hope these areas can be addressed to enhance the guest experience in the future.

The hotel is very well located in the centre of Ghent, less than 5 minutes walk to the Castle and pretty much opposite Graffiti Street. We stayed as a family of four and the room was well laid out with plenty of space for all of us. The room was clean and had amenities to make a hot drink.

We specially enjoyed the bath tube in the room we stayed. The location was also great, as you can connect directly to the shopping district. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.

The room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.

Outstanding hotel and without hesitation I can say this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Europe to date. Wonderfully friendly staff, superb facilities and refinements and the rooms are presented to an exceptionally high standard. I would not consider anywhere else when returning to Ghent as this place was incredible

Beautiful hotel with perfect view of a cathedral from our twin room. Hotel is in a historic building with lovely architectural features by the canal and the room we were in was a cleverly designed ”duplex” with the bathroom and sinks on the upper floor (ie loft) which made full use of the almost double volume ceiling in the smallish twin room we were in. The only drawback was that the steps were narrow and steep and would pose a problem if one had mobility issues. The toilet was located by the door next to the entrance but there was no sink for handwashing. Alcohol gel in a pump bottle was provided. There is a café, lifestyle / clothes shop and supermarket in the same building. Very convenient and the hotel's location was walkable to all the sights in Ghent central. The front desk staff were very polite and gracious and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived before 11am, since check-in was strictly at 4pm. We were happy to find that our suitcases had been already delivered to our room when we returned to the hotel at 4pm. There are 2 bars in the hotel - one which is open to the public which was buzzing in the evenings and a guest-only ”Honesty Bar” (1st photo) in which hotel guests could purportedly help themselves to liquor and pen down what they had imbibed - but I never saw anyone in it ! This could be due to a lack of ice or mixers. Or glasses. 🍸

TTak ChiGenerally the cleanliness of lobby floor public areas and room were above average 👍🏻👍🏻 Need to be careful when driving into that expo , ikea and the hotel zone as they located along with each others and shared the same directory board which the indicator bit small you might miss the hotel car park entrance The front staff he is super friendly and helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I would say the amenities is worth for the price 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

DDr. ErikJAM Hotel Ghent was a wonderful experience throughout. The entire venue is just magical, and the renovated former army barracks are a big architectural success. The location is excellent, halfway between the St Pieters Station and the city centre (it is a pity that tram T1 is temporarily rerouted for several years, meaning that your best option is to walk (along or through the splendid Citadelpark) or take a Bolt/Uber/Taxi. It is merely a 15-20 minute walk to the station, which is certainly doable. The frontend staff at check-in was adorable. Totally professional, warm, friendly, and courteous. They provided extensive information about the hotel and its facilities. I loved the decorations, the furniture and all the amenities. I stayed there for 5 days, and I wish I could have stayed longer! I also loved the rooftop bar ”Neko”, with a cosy interior and a wonderful outdoor terrace (although when I visited it was freezing, so nobody was sitting there). The small pool is also wonderful, but obviously more for cooling off on a hot day, and less for swimming lanes. Finally, I totally enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet in yet another nicely decorated area, and enjoyed the professional and friendly staff there!

MMax017The best hotel we’ve had so far! Room comes with a mini kitchen (fridge, induction cooker, microwave, pans, and utensils). There was even Nespresso machine and pods. The facilities are modem and the place is clean. The staffs are friendly plus you can buy Ghent city card at the counter! You can walk to the old town in about 15 minutes or take the bus which is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. Highly recommended and will definitely come back here.

GGuest UserSint Niklaas was going thru a process of major road and town works. Confusing one-way systems at play gave me a flat tyre reversing back around the right way and hitting a bunch of stones popping out the ground near the kerb. I think it would be nice to return once the town face-lift is complete... 🤔 Ibis, I thought you'd be better than that. €20 deposit for a kettle and no milk, coffee, tea, or sugar in your room on arrival.. 😒 The ladies working there were lovely enough to give my gf & I a smile 🥰 they know where to park and at what times to pay the machines at the car parks 🤓 Cheap and fairly cheerful but also stressful to load and unload. 🤕
