Matterhorn Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The Mighty Matterhorn
Luxury Ski Holidays in the Matterhorn Valley of Cervinia, Italy offer some of the most superb skiing in the Alps. Cervinia is a high altitude resort at 2000 meters, dominated by the mighty Matterhorn, with reliable snow conditions throughout the Winter from December right through to April. The long, open runs and easy gradients of Plateau Rosa are ideal for advanced beginners and intermediates from which you can enjoy some fantastic views. More advanced skiers can head to Valtournenche and Zermatt, Switzerland for an incredible ski area at their disposal. Valtournenche is an old village approximately 9 km from Cervinia whilst Zermatt is on the Swiss side, both link into the ski area of Cervinia.
Cervinias biggest asset is its altitude and skiing continues well into the summer months on the attractive Plateau Rosa, set against a magnificent glacial backdrop. In addition there are plentiful winter activities to be undertaken such as ice-skating, snowshoes walking, snow bike, paragliding and climbing on the beautiful Via Ferrara del Gorbeillon.

Do you know Toblerone chocolate? I guest most ppl ate it before or heard of it. The mountain on the package is Matterhorn! I finally get to see it in real! I just live this place so much!
The only sad thing is I didn’t get to ski because you can only ski in the morning during the summer time! If you are interested in skiing in there during summer, remember to go in the morning!

The main street of the town is 1500 meters long.
There are three classic routes from Zermatt, the Gornergrat, the Rothorn and the Matterhorn glacier paradise.
Article 1: Zermatt-Gornergrat
Since the opening of the Gora Glat Mountain Railway in 1898, as long as you take the mountain train and sit for 45 minutes, you can enjoy 29 seats including the Matterhorn. In the Alps, you can see the beautiful scenery that only climbers can see in the past.
this
Second: Zermatt-Rothorn
This line feels like the most beautiful route, because the Matterhorn seen at the Rothorn Lookout at 3103 meters above sea level is the sharpest and most angled. Good, and a little later you can see the Fendern Glacier lying quietly in the mountains, also a gazebo
third that can simultaneously admire the Matterhorn and the glacier: Zermatt-Matterhorn glacier paradise/ Compared with the first two lines, hh/ is the farthest from the town, but it is the closest one to Matterhorn. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, also known as the Little Matterhorn, can be reached by cable car. The observation deck is 3,883 meters above sea level. It is the observatory where the highest point in Europe is located.

A Fairy-Tale Fortress in Aosta Valley
Fenis Castle is a great structure that looks like something out of a fairy tale. It has five towers, two courtyards, and a bunch of frescoes and paintings inside. It was built by the Challant family, who were powerful lords in the region. They used it as a residence and a fortress, and they added more features over the centuries. It's one of the best preserved castles in Europe, and you can visit it today if you want to see how the nobility lived back then.

Mont Blanc Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The highest mountain in the Alps
The sheer majesty of Mont Blanc, the highest in the European Alps, is something that can't be put into words.
The range of activities available is truly remarkable; from skiing and snowboarding in the winter, to hiking and mountaineering in the warmer months, there's something for everyone.
What struck me most was the unparalleled beauty of the surroundings. The snow-capped peaks, rugged terrain, and the sense of being so close to the sky itself, is truly humbling. The Aiguille du Midi cable car ride was a highlight; the panoramic views from its observation deck were simply breathtaking.
I really recommend to visit Mont Blanc, in Autumn or in any other season, this mountain has always something magic and it won't disappoint you!

Sky Way, Chamonix
the most wonderful view#skyway #passionpassport #mountainview
Cheers to the most incredible glacial views of the Mont Blanc, in Chamonix France. Who would you hike here with?
An impressive ride on the Mont Blanc Skyway
Visiting the Mont Blanc Skyway was a breathtaking journey that left me in awe of the natural world. This incredible attraction is not just a way to reach the heights of Mont Blanc, but an experience in itself.
What sets the Mont Blanc Skyway apart is the stunning ride on the cable car. As you ascend, the panoramic views of the Alps are simply jaw-dropping. You can see glaciers, rugged peaks, and a vast expanse of pristine wilderness. It's a chance to witness the grandeur of nature from a vantage point that's truly awe-inspiring.
Once you reach Punta Helbronner, one of the high points of the journey, you're treated to a 360-degree view that's nothing short of magical. The surrounding mountains, including Mont Blanc itself, seem within arm's reach.

Aosta Old Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Walking around Aosta
I had an enjoyable experience exploring this historic city. I reached Aosta by train, which provided scenic views of the surrounding mountains. In Aosta, I wandered through its charming streets, admiring the well-preserved Roman ruins and medieval architecture. The blend of ancient and modern elements in the city's design fascinated me. Trying local dishes like fontina cheese and polenta was a culinary treat. The relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the locals were the highlights of my trip, making Aosta a destination I'd recommend for history lovers and anyone seeking a unique Italian experience.
