Yongqing Fang in Guangzhou | Exploring the hustle and bustle of Xiguan day and night (with guide)
Yongqing Fang is located in Liwan District, Guangzhou City, where there is a unique Lingnan architectural style, with green bricks and green tiles, as if traveling back to that prosperous old Guangzhou. Walking in the narrow alleys, feeling the sedimentation of history, it seems that you can hear the stories of old Guangzhou whispering in your ears.
🎈Location: Yongqing Fang (99 Enning Road, Liwan District)
⏰Opening hours: Free all day
👀About transportation:
🚇Subway: Line 1 Huangsha Station→Exit C, Line 6 Huangsha Station→Exit B.
🚌Bus: Route 15 Enning Road→Yongqing Fang Station.
🅿️Parking: Navigate to 'Yongqing Fang Jinsheng Parking Lot' 10 yuan/hour
🌿Highlights:
❶Lantern Street: You can see it as soon as you enter Yongqing Fang. If you want to go, it is recommended to go at night, full of atmosphere.
❷Bruce Lee's former residence: There is a place where Bruce Lee practiced martial arts. Inside there are wooden lofts and stairs, you can experience the life of the people of Guangdong in the old days.
❸Flying shop: There are many strange and cute things inside, 'decadentism' 'positive down'... It's very photogenic, and you want to take every item back.
❹Moon Bridge: The Moon Bridge is on the north side of the Cantonese Opera Art Museum. You can see two arch bridges (called Dieyue Bridge).
It has a great atmosphere. How can you miss such a beautiful bridge when you come to Yongqing Fang. The lighting time is 19:00-21:30, if you want to take pictures, it is recommended to go early! After all, there are really a lot of tourists.
❺Cantonese Opera Art Museum (free appointment required).
A Lingnan-style Chinese garden-style museum, many people wearing beautiful Hanfu and cheongsam shooting. There are Cantonese opera history, costumes, roads and other exhibits full of classical garden atmosphere.
❻Aerial Pavilion
On the side of the Years Post Office, it is a bit difficult to find on the third floor, but this location is really good for taking pictures. Follow the route to find the men's toilet first, then the women's toilet (the men's and women's toilets are separate, to go to the women's toilet you need to follow the guide up the stairs, the aerial pavilion is outside on the 3rd floor).
❗Note tips:
▼Check the stamp location in advance before traveling, bring a manual or diary, and collect unique stamps. Look for stamps. Many shops will provide unique stamps.
▼Pay attention to protect the environment, respect ancient buildings, and keep clean.
▼Experience local food and taste Guangzhou's special snacks.

The whole street in Guangzhou is a place full of attractions, and I walked 15 kilometers
The first stop is Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, which is really long.
Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street is one of the three traditional prosperous business centers in Guangzhou, gathering Lingnan architecture culture, Lingnan food culture and Lingnan folk customs in Lingnan culture. The arcade buildings are the iconic buildings of Shangxiajiu, stretching for kilometers, and it is currently the largest and best preserved in Guangzhou.
The second stop is Yongqingfang, which can be reached by walking along Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. There are many attractions in Yongqingfang.
The Xiguan Yongqingfang Tourist Area has the most complete arcade building group in Guangzhou and the Republic of China-style buildings with Chinese and Western styles. It has a profound historical and cultural accumulation and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
The main attractions are Liwan Lake Park, Pantang Wuyue, Renwei Ancestral Temple, Wen Tower, Jiang Guangnai's former residence, Yongqingfang, Bruce Lee's ancestral home, and Cantonese Opera Art Museum.
The third stop is Xihua Road, where you can feel the unique fireworks of Guangzhou. It's a place where locals hang out, very down-to-earth, and the things are cheap and the taste is very authentic.
Recommended food: Beef offal on the pedestrian street, personally think that Xiaolujiang's beef offal is more cost-effective, and Nanxin's double skin milk, Xihua Road's shark fin, the taste is very authentic.

The ancestral residence of "Little Dragon" 🐉
When you visited Guangzhou, you need to visit the ancestral residence of famous global Hollywood movie star Bryce Lee. This house is located in a commercial place called "Yongqingfang" It's a very interesting place to check it out and learn more about Bryce Lee's life and his family. So many authentic things that you can find there like photos, equipment, clothes, etc. What is interesting about this house is that Bryce spends time learning and implanting new martial arts techniques with his master Ye Quan. So if you a big fan of martial arts movies or you are just a person who wants to get inspired by other people, this place can give you that. You can read so many amazing quotes from Bryce Lee who can inspire you in your daily life. ☺👌

May Membership Day Journal | The Ancestral Home of Bruce Lee in Guangzhou.
The ancestral home of Bruce Lee is the former residence of Lee Hoi-chuen, a renowned Cantonese opera comedian known for his 'ragged costume plays' and as one of the 'Four Great Comedians'. Today, it has been set up as a special exhibition on Bruce Lee's ancestral home, recreating the appearance of a traditional Xiguan mansion and providing a detailed introduction to Bruce Lee's life and performing arts history. Although the exhibition is somewhat monotonous with its focus on graphics and text, the restored Xiguan mansion is still worth a visit to experience the blend of history and culture.

Visit Chen Clan Ancestral Hall for ancient relics, and Yongqing Fang for modern trends!
Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, also known as "Chen Clan Academy", was built during the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the largest existing traditional Cantonese architectural structures and is also the largest, best-preserved, and most exquisitely decorated ancestral hall in China, hailed as the "Pearl of Lingnan Architecture". The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a culmination of Lingnan architectural craftsmanship, showcasing the "three carvings, two moldings, one casting, and one painting" that characterize Lingnan architecture, namely wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, pottery molding, plaster molding, metal casting, and color painting murals. All these superb skills are displayed in almost every hall, courtyard, corridor, room, door, window, railing, wall, roof ridge, and beam, making it a place truly worth visiting for appreciation.
To see Lingnan culture, look to Guangfu; to see Guangfu culture, look to Xiguan. Yongqing Fang is renovated from the historical old streets. It is the former site of the famous foreign trade port of the Thirteen Hongs in Guangzhou, gathering the charm of Xiguan, arcade buildings, and Lingnan traditional opera, embodying the typical Lingnan cultural atmosphere. It perfectly integrates history with modernity and has become a must-visit destination in Guangzhou, really not to be missed!
Warm tips: Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and Yongqing Fang are both located in Xiguan, the old town of Guangzhou, and are not far from each other. You can enjoy both by walking + cycling.

Visiting Lizhiwan and Yongqing Fang in Guangzhou
We arrived at the west gate of Liwan Lake Park (free of charge) by subway just before dusk. We strolled and took photos in the park, and when twilight fell, we exited from the south gate and walked along Lizhiwan to Yongqing Fang. Yongqing Fang is bustling with visitors at night and is definitely worth a visit.
Lizhiwan is located in the Xiguan Pantang area of Liwan District, Guangzhou. It is named after the lychee trees planted along the riverbanks. An ancient poem says: 'A bay of green water, banks of red lychees,' describing the charm of Lizhiwan. Notable attractions in Liwan include the former residence of Jiang Guangding, Liang's Ancestral Hall, Wen Tower, Longjin Bridge, and Xiguan Mansions.
Yongqing Fang is situated in the core area of Enning Road in Xiguan, Liwan District, Guangzhou, covering an area of about 120,000 square meters. After the renovation of dilapidated buildings, it has retained elements such as blue brick houses, red brick buildings, crossbar doors, Manchu windows, and stone-paved roads. Yongqing Fang has become a new cultural landmark of Guangzhou's old city micro-renovation in recent years and is also an international cultural exchange base for overseas Chinese. It also preserves the overall spatial environment of the old district, including 83 architectural heritages such as cultural relics buildings, historical buildings, and characteristic buildings, as well as 6 intangible cultural heritages. This area contains Guangzhou's most complete arcade building group, including Bruce Lee's ancestral home, Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall, Bahe Guild Hall, and Guangdong Cantonese Opera Sedan Chair, among others.
After its transformation, Yongqing Fang has become a new popular spot for social media check-ins in Guangzhou. To meet the needs of modern urbanites, Yongqing Fang has introduced trendy brands such as the most beautiful bookstore, HEYTEA, internet-famous coffee, specialty restaurants, and Cantonese opera-themed hotels, injecting new vitality into this ancient neighborhood and creating a leisure area full of commercial and cultural atmosphere.

Yongqing Fang / Experience the history and culture of Guangzhou
In Guangzhou, there is a place that makes me linger, and that is Yongqing Fang. It is filled with the historical and cultural essence of Guangzhou, and it is where I feel the blend of tradition and modernity in this bustling city. Yongqing Fang is located in Liwan District's Xiguan, the area with the strongest 'Guangzhou flavor', where the streets and alleys are permeated with the rich atmosphere of Lingnan culture. As a gathering place for the cultural and creative youth of Guangzhou, it not only maintains the 'authentic' old town style of Xiguan but also incorporates many fashionable elements.
In Yongqing Fang, I discovered countless distinctive shops and artistic stores. Hand-painted walls and unique artistic shops fill the place with an artistic vibe, while various gourmet shops make my mouth water. Here, I tried Xiguan fish skin, pig's trotter noodles, Xiguan buta-intestine, and other special delicacies, feeling as if I were in a food paradise.
The night view of Yongqing Fang is even more breathtaking. As the lights come on, the entire Yongqing Fang seems to put on a new outfit, becoming even more enchanting. The lights reflected on the river surface, like a beautiful painting.

|||In the alleys of Guangzhou, there is a saying that goes, 'Gentlemen from Dongshan, ladies from Xiguan'. Yongqing Fang|||This saying, which refers to the prestigious Dongshan and the wealthy Xiguan, is a microcosm of Guangzhou's historical and cultural heritage. Yongqing Fang is located on Enning Road, which has a history of over a hundred years. This area was originally part of the old Xiguan district, rich in cultural relics and historical sites. After the old city renovation, while retaining the charm of old Xiguan in Guangzhou, it has also been infused with modern commercial art.

Yongqing Fang in Guangzhou
Yongqing Fang district gathers a variety of elements such as Xiguan customs, arcade buildings, and Lingnan traditional opera, brimming with the charm of Lingnan culture, bustling with people. Yongqing Fang has renovated the old district's features, similar to Shanghai's Xintiandi, with restaurants, creative shops, and a Cantonese opera culture museum (free admission, but long queues for visiting), worth a visit.

Must Visit in Guangzhou
When it comes to popular check-in spots in Guangzhou in recent years, Yongqing Fang undoubtedly stands out. Yongqing Fang, a national tourist attraction in Guangzhou's Liwan District, has undergone revitalization that combines both tradition and modernity.🏯
What to do: 🌟
1. It features cafes, tea houses, shops, restaurants, and bookstores, attracting the younger generation. I suggest going to C.HERE coffee and enjoying your sweets and drinks on the rooftop. (Look at the photos)☕️
2. Bruce Lee's former residence, featuring wooden lofts and stairs, offers a glimpse into the daily life of the People of Guangzhou in the past.🥋
3. The Cantonese Opera Art Museum within Yongqing Fang showcases Lingnan garden characteristics and offers weekly Cantonese opera and music performances.🎼
4. The "Moon on the Bridge" at night is a captivating sight and a popular photo-taking spot.📸

Yongqing Fang is definitely worth a visit! It's quite suitable for a CityWalk, with its Lingnan-style landmark buildings, the old Xiguan cultural city towers, and some traditional handicrafts, representing a fusion of trendy and classical elements.
I recommend going in the afternoon~ Enjoy food and drinks during the day, and when the lights come on at night, it's perfect for taking photos and admiring the beautiful scenery!

Cantonese Opera Art Museum
:Open from 9:00 to 21:00: Free admission
Inside, there are many cultural and historical exhibits related to Cantonese opera. The architecture is full of the classical garden atmosphere, and the area is quite large. There are performances on the stage at scheduled times, located next to the Moon Bridge, and it's also stunningly beautiful when lit up at night~
Bruce Lee's Former Residence
:Open from 9:00 to 17:00, closed on Mondays: Free admission
There is a bronze statue of Bruce Lee at the entrance, and the building has about two or three floors, featuring a training room and a small balcony for playing chess. It's a typical Xiguan mansion with a brick-wood structure and carved beams.
