#Twin Lagoon Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The most beautiful sea-to-lake in the Philippines, comparable to the Maldives in beauty.
The Philippines, as a popular island destination in the South Pacific, attracts countless tourists with its beautiful island scenery. With over 7,000 islands, 90% of which are uninhabited, the biggest feature of these islands is the surrounding mountains and unique landscapes, resembling "Guilin on the sea". They are far from the hustle and bustle, peaceful and charming, and fascinating.
Coron Island in the Philippines was designated as a world fish and wildlife conservation area in 1967 due to its excellent marine ecological environment. The waters here have over 600 species of coral reefs, ranking first in the world. It has been named one of the "Top 10 Popular Diving Spots in the World" by many well-known travel magazines and websites, becoming a dream destination for countless divers.
When you come to Coron Island as a regular tourist, you don't necessarily have to dive deep to explore the beautiful underwater world. There are many surrounding islands with hidden lakes that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Twin Lagoons is a popular snorkeling spot among tourists, with beautiful and colorful underwater scenery, excellent water quality, high visibility, and many schools of fish.
Twin Waterfalls Lake, one big and one small, are two freshwater lakes connected to the ocean but very hidden, located between the ocean and the mountains, with only a 2-meter-long rock cave connecting them. To enter here, one must stop the boat in the middle of the sea, hold their breath and swim through the underwater cave from the bottom of the sea, making it a fascinating "utopia on the sea".
Twin Waterfalls Lake showcases the amazing work of nature. Surrounded by karst peaks and connected to the sea, the lake water is fresh and swimming here allows one to feel the temperature changes. However, beneath the surface lies a mysterious unknown world that is both thrilling and frightening.
Twin Lagoon boasts a beautifully preserved underwater world, making it perfect for snorkeling and diving. Here, you can get up close and personal with schools of fish and coral, and even spot sea urchins on the lake bed. What's even more amazing is that compared to pure freshwater lakes, Twin Lagoon's water has incredibly strong buoyancy, allowing people to float on the surface and fully enjoy the joy brought by seawater and sunshine.
At the foot of a rocky mountain in a corner of Shuangzi Xie Lake, there is a small wooden house, which is the residence of the Shuangzi Xie Lake administrator and also the "ticket office" of the lake. The ticket aunt usually paddles a canoe and charges per person per boat, 100 pesos each. Working in such a beautiful environment really makes people a little envious. #First trip of 2023 #Outdoor fun #These domestic islands are awesome.

Twin Lagoon in Coron Palawan
Twin Lagoon is that place that you would not want to miss when you visit Coron.
Twin Lagoons is about an hour by boat from the city of Coron. This place is amazing, crystal clear blue water and lot of limestone cliffs. Must see in Coron.
One of the most exciting activity is kayaking at Twin Lagoon, Coron Palawan Philippines. Entering the lagoon certainly opens a great view of greens and turquoise pristine water. This is a perfect activity for couples who want to enjoy a scenic view while paddling their way together. 💕
This activity is just one of the perks when you avail any of the island hopping tours that accredited local tour guides offer in Coron. ☺️

Twin Lagoon
#beachlife Best stop of the super ultimate tour in my opinion.
Definitely need to rent the kayak, I recommend the regular kayak. The “glass bottom” kayaks are just clear plastic scratched up canoes, without proper kayak footholds and back to actually paddle correctly. It’s ideal here to be able to easily paddle around to see both lagoons and the little areas away from the crowds.
Pretty water, nice corals. Very very little marine life, which seems to be the case at all of the stops. Water is very very warm, making it comfortable but also possibly the reason for the lack of marine life?
Saw a few people tipping their kayaks going under the rock to get to the second lagoon. Attached a video of us going through quite easily, just lay back and go through the center - propelling yourself with your hands on the rocks.
You can also hop out but I don’t think it’s necessary.
Nice water vendors here that paddle up the your boat and sell cold water, beer and snacks, pretty cool and really convenient.
Twin Lagoon, Coron: Discover Stillness in Avatar's Realm! 🌎🌿
Immerse yourself in the surreal beauty of the Twin Lagoon in Coron, Philippines, and find a moment of tranquility in this otherworldly paradise. Surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and crystal-clear turquoise waters, the Twin Lagoon offers a serene escape where time stands still.
Twin Lagoon is another epic spot to explore in Coron. These are literally two lagoons interconnected by underwater cave or a few stairs up and down to get to another side of the lagoon. At the delta, you will see how beautiful the place is. the water is so clear. Swimming through to the first lagoon is interesting, there is a blending of cold and hot water, there must be hot spring underneath. Make sure to wear life vest as this is a deep lagoon and kinda scary once you are in the middle but so fulfilling.
