Bugis+ Family Fun Entertainment
#singapore
After shopping at bugis junction, we took the connecting bridge towards the bugis+. Bugis+ is very popular among the young people too. We had a light snack after our walk there. We bought the chaterise cake and enjoyed the cake together. As a lady, I loved to shop at Sephora for cosmetics. I will head there as my first stop, while my husband will visit the Uniqlo to check out his clothes. At Sephora, I get to try out the make up and see what's new. The sales person is very friendly and gave me good advice which suits me best . We will also spend some time at the level 3 arcade to have some fun. We really enjoyed shopping at the mall. We believe you will enjoy it too.
A Mall With Food, Arcades & Fun
#singapore #bugis #town #shopping #mall #local #mustvisit
Bugis+ is a popular mall filled with loads of food options, retail shops and restaurants.
The mall is connected to an MRT and buses from all sorts of Singapore making this place easily accessible.
The mall itself has a feel for youngsters as there are arcades and games on the 3rd floor and a movie theatre at the top floor while the basement and the other levels are filled with price friendly food options.
Don't forget to also explore the outside of the mall as there are also some shops that are only accessible via the outside.
Studio Ghibli Inflatables
#singapore
As part of Uniqlo’s collection featuring Studio Ghibli, giant inflatables has taken over Bugis +!!
Which is something that is happening for the first time in Singapore. I am someone who love inflatables so it was beyond imagination to see them bring in all our favourite movies characters in.
For those who don’t know, Studio Ghibli movies are 2D movies that will play with your heart and feelings in a good way.
Other than inflatables to admire, you can also go around collection stamps on a post card to redeem a poster!
The atrium currently features, Totoro, and the cat bus in the same movie plus Ponyo!
Check out this limited time only Ghibli Exhibit!
#singapore
Fans of Studio Ghibli? Check out this limited time only Ghibli Exhibit (Hay, Let's Go) at Bugis+, where a massive Totoro hangs down from the ceiling of the Bugis+ mall. There are also various Studio Ghibli characters installations on the second floor of the mall such as the Cat Bus and Ponyo. There are also a number of backdrops walls with scenes from various popular Studio Ghibli movies like Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle, where you can take photos with your favourite characters.
Ghibli pop up at uniqlo bugis+

Drop by bugis+ to take photo with life size totoro and cat bus🥰 participate in the search for ghibli studio stamps and complete the card to win a limited edition wrapping paper. hint* the stamps locations are spread all over the mall! take the escalator up to the highest floor and continue your search🤭.
Ghibli studio fans would love this exhibition! come down now!!#ghibli
The escape from the Upside down
managed to experience this myself and i have to say its really worth it!
as a Stranger Things fan myself, it felt very nostalgic? seeing things all the way from Season 1 - Season 4. The sets are super detailed and the visuals are amazing!
This experience brings you all the way from the house of the Byers, all the way to the house of Vecna which is very exciting to me (was fanboying 90% of the time hehe)
it felt very realistic especially when we had "missions" to complete, and if you're a fan, you'll definitely enjoy and complete them with ease! The staffs there were very helpful and very very nice too.
towards the end, you'll end up in a Starcourt setup where you can get a variety of exclusive merch! - and also some very cute picture spots for you to pose for the gram! (you also get to dress up as Robin and Steve at "Scoops Ahoy!" ) 🥶

Shopping at Bugis
#singapore
Bugis is one of the shopping destinations in Singapore for clothes and shoes. It’s located at Central Area and quite accessible via Bugis MRT. I reached the place just in time to catch the GV movie on a Friday afternoon. It’s a nice place to stroll around and look for any promotions and to catch up with friends. The Bugis and Bugis+ malls are linked to each other via a bridge so there’s no need to head out and get exposed to sunlight or rain. Beside Bugis+ is also the Bugis street where more stores are available to find good deals.
Watani Japanese Dining
#singapore
I went to fetch my wife from work. After that, we went for dinner at Bugis Plus. We came across Watani Japanese Dining and it attracted my wife. Thus, off we went.
The food shown in the menu all looked so yummy, we were spoilt with choices. In the end, we ordered Assorted Sashimi Salad, ginger pork rice, Korean style Army hot pot, Matcha and Red bean porfait. We totally enjoyed the food as they were very delicious. My wife was happy.
#singapore Meow BBQ

Didnt know Watami opened at Bugis+. This outlet is big and spacious. We ordered 5 kinds skewer + set, and tokichi pork don. 5 kinds skewer is very fragrant! Love the veg especially. The pork don is pretty average. Good taste wise but pork is slightly tough for my teeth.
Overall great place still!

We ordered the saba shio set + mixed toji teishoku set. Partner didnt really enjoy the mackerel as much mainly due to the bones but i thought the taste was ok. I enjoyed my mixed toji teishoku set though. The salad had sufficient sesame sauce. Japanese rice tasted great. Miso soup slighty salty but just get the staff to add hot water.
Enjoyed the meal!

Malaysia bak kut teh in Singapore
New Manlee Bak Kut Teh
Address - 201 Victoria Street #01-12 Bugis +
Avg. Price per Person - 15++
Rating - 4/5
Singaporeans and Malaysians both love bak kut teh and each country have their own version of it. Personally i prefer malaysia's herbal style over singapore's peppery style.
So i have been wanting to try New Manlee which hails from KL. I was a little disappointed, but not by the taste!
True to its malaysia root, this bkt is herbal style. They serve it in a hot pot over your own portable stove. Love this idea coz i like my bkt hot! We went for the set meal for 2pax and the portion is just nice. The soup was flavourful but not too salty. I wasnt thirsty after that so it really is herbs and spices! The meat was a tab tough though.
Sadly, each pot is only allow 1 refill. I love soup :(
Anyway this bkt is still worth a visit!

Meow Barbecue
#moreinsg
Award-winning Chinese BBQ restaurant Meow Barbeque recently opened its doors to the Singapore public so I asked a friend if she was keen to join me in giving this establishment a try, since she is a cat-lover as well 😂
Our advance reservation saved us precious time in waiting for a table as the restaurant was packed with the Saturday lunch crowd. We eventually decided on the 440g Meow Signature Platter, which consisted of beef chuck cubes with onion, marinated sliced beef chuck steak, premium Iberico sliced pork belly, smoky Iberico sliced pork collar steak & boneless teriyaki sliced chicken thigh, with side orders of fresh lettuce & white rice 😋 Besides the complimentary service option of a staff helping to grill our meat to perfection, we were also handed a ziplock bag each to place our masks in & a cleaning cloth for grease removal off my spectacles, both very prettily designed 😍
Overall, it’s a decent place to satisfy your barbecue cravings, although it might not be where you can get the most value for money.
A Day at Bugis+ (Meow BBQ & Chagee)
located downtown from the main shopping area, Orchard and the Central business district of Singapore, we have Bugis.
Bugis is a bustling place with two shopping malls located next to each other. Bugis Junction and Bugis+. Today’s feature is Bugis+.
Bugis+ contains a lot of eateries. My favourite being Cocoichibanya. however there is a new barbecue restaurant that opened called MEOW Barbecue, so I decided to give it a try.
Here are my opinions on the place.
For a barbecue restaurant, the place is really clean with the exception of oil of course. That’s unavoidable. The menu is pretty diverse I would say. There is beef, pork, and chicken. Drinks wise, alcoholic days only beer and non-alcoholic there is a wider range.
my orders:
- Beef Tongue (Japanese style)
- rose beef tongue
- beef cubes
- Pork flank
- Beef flank
- Beer
This totals to ~$120. Which unfortunately is a bit pricy as compared to other BBQ places. however, price is just the only downside. The environment and design of the whole restaurant looks pretty good! Most importantly, it’s clean!! 👍
After the barbecue, I decided to go try out this tea shop that I’ve always seen but not dare to try. The very sweet store assistant recommended me a drink called the “tie guan yin” milk tea and it tastes really good!
The A portion of the milk and tea was just right so the whole drink does not taste too milky but also still retains the strong taste of tea. Definitely have became a fan!
Downside is, a cup costs $7+
Do try those out if you decide to splurge one day because I think it’s a great experience nevertheless.

Cha Gee - Must drink !
Cha Gee, commonly known as Ba Wang Cha Ji to most people, is a chain of bubble tea store in Singapore. The brand originates from China and currently has 10 stores in Singapore.
They are well known for their very tall bubble tea cups and they even hide gifts under the cup during promotions!
I'm a tea lover and I like their tea taste here. I however do not like the milk taste here. A little too much for my liking. They do have a tea drip and it's limited. They leave the tea dripping for 6 hrs before selling it. Not sure if that's actually nice cos it's always not available when I pop by the store.
Check out where their 10 outlets are and do try it if you are near one!

Typhoon Cafe at Bugis+
Address: 201 Victoria St, #04-08 Bugis+, Singapore 188067
Singapore, being a food paradise, has lots of food choices when it comes to food. Typhoon Cafe is a restaurant specializing in Taiwanese cuisine, which is known for Lu Rou Fan (Braised Pork rice), Mee Sua & more.
We got the Lu Rou Mian (Braised Pork Noodles), Golden Chicken Fritters aka 盐酥鸡, a soup, drinks & a souffle pancake dessert. The serving size for the mains are quite average, but the dessert serving is quite big (best to share).
As for service, it's quite difficult to wave and call the staff attention, especially when the store was almost full. I remembered waving and trying to get the attention of the staff with no success for around 5-10 minutes before someone finally noticed my hand but didn't come over.

Their signature dish, Half Roasted chicken with cranberry sauce, sauce at kept separately just in case you do not like the taste of the cranberry sauce.
The mix is definitely amazing and taste superb
However the best for us is the Salmon hot pie. The taste, ingredients and the mixture is top notch.
Recommend everyone to try the hot pie if you ever consider dining at the Poulet

claypot dishes in Singapore
#wheretogo
visited lau wang claypot again to use my loyalty card programme as there is a loyalty card whereby ordering ten claypot dishes will grant you a free claypot sesame chicken hence I redeemed it this time round. the claypot sesame chicken was indeed the best dish here. love the sauce and goes really well with rice. it is not extremely sweet as well. also had the sambal seafood and the fish slices were quite huge. quite a number of squid and crab meat as well as prawns were included in this dish as well. it is delicious and spicy but the sauce in the chicken claypot is definitely better. lastly I had a ngoh hiang which was filled with lots of water chestnut and meat. it is crunchy and quite crispy when served hot. overall enjoyed my meal here and will definitely come again!
