Berlin Cathedral
#summerbreak
While in Berlin, one of the top places to see was the Berlin Cathedral. I went mid afternoon and while the surrounding area was pretty busy, the cathedral itself wasn’t.
Entry is €10 and you can purchase the ticket from a small stall just to the left side of the cathedral entrance.
Once inside, the decor is stunning. Gold detail all around and peaceful.
You can take a walk up to the top of the dome, this is included in your ticket price but there are regular warnings as you enter that area to take care. You will also see signs on the way up counting how many steps you have left. It’s 267 steps in total, the staircases become narrow the further up you go.

Berlin Cathedral
Location: Berlin, the capital city of Germany.
Getting there: Fly to Berlin from most major European cities. Berlin Cathedral is located on Museum Island in the Mitte district. The nearest S-Bahn station is Hackescher Markt. Walk five minutes from there.
The Protestant Berlin Cathedral on Museum Island in the Mitte district is Berlin's largest church and one of the major sights in the city center.
There is a park nearby where you can enjoy a picnic and dinner. The cathedral is surrounded by water and you can walk around it to enjoy the view.

Located on the Museum Island in the heart of Berlin, Berlin Cathedral is a Renaissance-style Protestant church built by Emperor Wilhelm II and a monument to the Hohenzollern dynasty. Many members of the royal family sleep here.
The interior is extremely gorgeous and even reaches the level of glitz. The splendid interior is decorated with columns with intricate lines and exquisite murals, and even the stigma is gold-plated. The most memorable part of the church is the 74-meter dome made of Silesia sandstone and the 95 luxury stone sarcophagi parked on the ground floor, all of which are members of the Hohenzollern royal family.
Lin Cathedral is the best looking church in Berlin, and the most tiring church. It is going to go around the circle, and the stairs are very tired for me who lack sports. The scenery behind the top will not disappoint you. The Berlin Cathedral is very close to the museum. After visiting, you can visit the Museum Island directly. It is very convenient.
Attend a Madonna concert, check-in Berlin

Madonna's tour has come to Germany, and this time she will be performing in Berlin. Are you ready?
1. Museum Island
Museum Island is located in the heart of Berlin, on the northern side of the Spree Island. It is home to many of Germany's leading museums. In 1992, Museum Island was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
2. Brandenburg Gate
Originally, the Brandenburg Gate was a city gate in the Berlin Wall, named for the road leading to Brandenburg. The rebuilt Brandenburg Gate became a symbol of the Cold War era, but now it stands as a testament to Germany's reunification.
3. Berlin Cathedral
The Berlin Cathedral was built between 1895-1905 and was damaged during World War II. Restoration work continues to this day, but it remains one of Berlin's most striking landmark buildings.
From the dome of Berlin Cathedral, you see a different city
September ushers in autumn, wandering around Berlin, strolling through the streets.
Only by taking the road less traveled can you discover a different landscape.
❤️Recommended reason:
Adjacent to Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral is a place I've often passed by but never thought to climb its dome.
Taking advantage of the crisp autumn weather, I spent 10 euros on a ticket, initially intending to isolate myself from the worldly noise inside. To my surprise, I found that you can actually climb to the dome.
With decent stamina, it took ten minutes to reach the top.
Indeed, those 10 euros were well spent. The entire city seemed to be under its gaze.
🌟Highlights:
This Renaissance-style building, constructed by Emperor Wilhelm II in 1894, reaches a height of 114 meters. The dome, designed by Julius Raschdorff, gives the already tall church a visually rounded appearance. The exterior of the building is modeled after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome but also has its own distinctive features. The cathedral's vault is not a simple imitation of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome; its interior is bright and spacious, in stark contrast to the traditional dark and solemn church designs.
✅Must Experience:
The church ticket includes the cost of climbing to the top. Be sure to allow enough time to go up, and don't be afraid of the effort it takes to climb. Once you're up, you'll feel that everything is worth it. Of course, the weather is also very important.
Walk around the tower on the outer edge of the dome, going up and down without retracing your steps. You can overlook all the museums on Museum Island, the Zeughaus (now the German Historical Museum), the Humboldt Forum, and even the Berlin TV Tower in the distance, among many others.
Take videos, take photos, take selfies, take in the scenery, everything at will.
Berlin Cathedral is a truly magnificent architectural marvel that left me in awe. From the moment I approached the grand entrance, I was captivated by its imposing presence and intricate details.
The interior of the cathedral is equally breathtaking. The soaring ceilings, ornate decorations, and stunning stained glass windows create a sense of tranquility and reverence. As I walked through the nave, I couldn't help but feel a sense of history and spirituality.
The cathedral also offers stunning views of Berlin from its dome. Climbing to the top was an experience in itself, and the panoramic vistas of the city were absolutely breathtaking. It's definitely worth the effort to reach the observation deck for a unique perspective of Berlin's skyline.
The staff at Berlin Cathedral were friendly and helpful, providing information about the cathedral's history and answering any questions I had. The audio guide was also informative and enhanced my understanding of the significance of the cathedral.
Overall, Berlin Cathedral is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility in the bustling city. Its grandeur and beauty are truly awe-inspiring, making it a highlight of my visit to Berlin.
the ticket costs 10 euo, no cash.

Berlin is one of the city in Germany , as well as the capital. In the recent trip to Berlin, I felt really delightful and impressed of their architecture and the stunning view of those historical buildings. The first attraction is the Fernsehturm, which is one of the television tower and also an iconic landmark in Berlin. Furthermore, the Berlin cathedral is also a good place to explore around. It was built from 1894 to 1905. Moreover, it is convenient to take the metro to everywhere and I really recommend the S line which is the most convenient and easiest way to explore around the city.

@ THE BERLIN CATHEDRAL.
The Berlin Cathedral (German: Berliner Dom), also known as the Evangelical Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church, is a monumental German Protestant church and dynastic tomb (House of Hohenzollern) on the Museum Island in central Berlin.
Having its origins as a castle chapel for the Berlin Palace, several structures have served to house the church since the 15th century.
The present collegiate church was built from 1894 to 1905 by order of Emperor William II according to plans by Julius Raschdorff in Renaissance and Baroque Revival styles. The listed building is the largest Protestant church in Germany and one of the most important dynastic tombs in Europe.
In addition to church services, the cathedral is used for state ceremonies, concerts and other events.

A Stroll through beautiful Dome
While the interior of the Berlin Dome dazzles visitors with its grandeur, the exterior of this iconic structure holds its own charm, offering a serene escape amidst architectural splendor.
The Berlin Dome is surrounded by a spacious courtyard, a haven of calm in the midst of urban hustle. The meticulously manicured lawns and elegant pathways lead visitors to the main entrance, providing an opportunity to appreciate the Dome's grandeur from various angles. The ambiance is one of tranquility, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a moment of quiet contemplation.
Drawing closer to the Dome, visitors can examine the intricate architectural details that adorn its exterior. From the delicate carvings that adorn the main portal to the symbolic sculptures that line the facade, every element tells a story of the Dome's historical and cultural significance.
Crossing the nearby bridges over the River Spree provides an alternative perspective of the Berlin Dome. The reflections of the Dome on the water and the gentle flow of the river contribute to a tranquil atmosphere. Whether by day or illuminated by night, the exterior of the Dome presents a captivating spectacle from across the river, offering photographers and admirers a picturesque scene.

I want to see the museums and art galleries in Berlin again
I spent a weekend walking around Berlin alone, and the museums are worth savoring. The Jewish Museum, the King's Gallery, the Berlin Art Museum, the Berlin Wall, and the Museum Island, I want to linger in each place a little longer.
Berlin Dom in Summer 2023

Berlin Cathedral - a must see during your visit in Berlin. What a beautiful cathedral this is!
Depending on where you come from on the “Museum Island”, you will be greeted with the imposing view of the Berlin Cathedral which dominates the view. Looking to its left you can see an esplanade which opens up to the many museums that are on the island. Teenagers practicing their skateboarding, kids running and adults sitting and discussing life’s problems constitute the view of this open space park. Be sure to go behind the cathedral on a warm sunny day and enjoy a nice cold white beer!

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Berlin Cathedral
Berlin’s Cathedral (Berliner Dom) offers a great view of the city from the top of its dome once you’ve conquered the spiral staircases of over 200 steps (no elevator). At a lower cost than TV Tower entrance, and with a fantastic cathedral to explore in addition, it’s placement on museum island is worth a visit alongside the fantastic Royal Museum, National Gallery, Pergamon Museum, and any others that interest you on the island. Discounted entry to the cathedral is possible from the widely sold Berlin Welcome Card public transit pass, and to the museums if you are a student or have the Museum Island pass.

The Berlin Cathedral is a church with a strong Central European character. The churches in Europe do not have many features and look very good outside.
The cathedral is surrounded by museums. There is a large green area in front of the museum. It is absolutely popular when the weather is good.
The interior of the Berlin Cathedral is very magnificent, golden, and many sculptures are designed on the pillars of each floor, which is worth watching slowly.
Berlin Cathedral has been repaired many times, and many of the things I see now are replicas. Admire the top of the church and overlook the heart of Berlin. If you are lucky, you can also experience live performances in the choir.
Berlin Cathedral is a very impressive building, walking towards the front, and there are street performers performing musical instruments. People are relaxing in the grass on the grass in front of the church. At the rear of the cathedral there are many locals drinking and chatting.
