Dubai’s historical creek
Al Seef is probably my favourite part of the city! The old-looking buildings and the incredible amount of stories, eateries and things to see make this area a must-visit for anyone in Dubai!
Al Seef is the ideal tourist lifestyle destination, featuring fabulous view of Dubai’s historical creek, traditional shows and old-world architecture paired with modern comfort.
The most popular destination that offers charming atmosphere of UAE’s distinct heritage.
Every building facade in Al Seef has been given an old school makeover to take you back to Dubai’s past from the shopping stall right down to the modern cafes and the effects is simply delightful. Walk in the footsteps of the fishermen, Pearl-divers, weavers and tradesman who once worked and traded along Dubai Creek as you wander through memory lanes, the sikkas (alleyways), pedestrian streets and the beautiful marina.
You can find local artistry, intricate craftsmanship and transitional handiwork alongside modern fashion labels.
Getting There - Al Seef is location in Bur Dubai, right by Dubai Creek. You can get there by metro, taking either the Red or the Green line to the Burjan stop and then walk around 15mins.
Opening hours - the area is open 24/7 so you can take a stroll around at anytime of the day. The retail stores however open from Sunday-Wednesday 10am-10pm. Thursday - Saturday 10am to midnight.

Go see the world | The retro district in Dubai that 99% of tourists don't know about
Dubai's Old Town Story
It feels like a nostalgic emotion sealed in the future time and space.
There are one thousand and one nights of ancient prosperity 🌵.
With the leisurely and lazy ease that one can indulge in.
Second time visiting Dubai.
Found the true Arab world in Al Seef 👳♂️
Not too crowded, but not too deserted either.
Sit casually at the pier and order a cup of Turkish coffee.
Let's go together to witness a pink sunset 🌄.
📍Al Seef Street
▪️The Arab-style antique block adjacent to Dubai Creek is suitable for taking photos and strolling around.
▪️Internet-famous spots: Old Wall Starbucks, Arabian Tea House
▪️It's not easy to park near the main road, so we suggest navigating to Al Seef Parking, a free parking garage with plenty of spaces. From there, it's just a short walk to the edge of the Al Seef harbor area.
▪️You can take a boat from the pier to the old town on the opposite bank, where there are spice markets and gold markets.
Charming destination in old Dubai
Al Seef is situated on the Dubai creek and consist of 1.8km of new development created to reminiscence old Dubai. it feels like a hidden gem with multiple restaurants, shops selling traditional crafts and one of the most photographed Starbucks themed as old Arabic village. you can easily stroll to real old Dubai Al Fahidi district or take abra across the creek for 1 dirham paid directly to captain.
Canopy by Hilton is a great base to explore this part of town.
Easily accessible from mentor with multiple parking spaces if you arrive by car. #urbanexplorer

Al Seef Adventures
#newyearadventure
aal eef adventures and great photos all for free!!!
Al Seef celebrates Dubai Creek’s beginnings as the famous coastal pearl diving base. it is found on Dubai Creek’s stately shoreline, and has two sections – a heritage area featuring old architecture, and a second space featuring more contemporary structures.
Once a vibrant entryway to the Gulf’s most successful pearl diving port, the Creek’s legendary presence can still be felt today here, with fisherman and merchants criss-crossing the calm waters in their sleek dhows as part of their daily routine. The best way to take it all in is to embark on a cultural walking tour of the pedestrian-friendly Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, before wandering over to Al Seef and exploring its charming walkways, fully-operational marina, dining boulevard and events plaza on foot.
alfanar's amazing menu
#newyearadventure
my second to the last day here in dubai was about visiting al seef we arrived here at lunch so the first order of business is to have lunch at Al Fanar's.
Their newest branch at Al Seef retains the charm of Al Fanar’s ambience and authentic Emirati Flavours, but is designed to treat the senses of seafood lovers. Select the freshest seafood of your choice and their culinary masters will infuse it with mouthwatering Emirati flavours.
Abra on the Creek
Dont miss this experience as part of souks/Al Seef trip. Abras, are small traditional boats that cross the Creek in various places for 1 dirham a person. just go to one of the stations, board, pay captain and wait till it’s full, usually for couple of minutes.
you also will be approached by private captains and you can rent one for yourself for customised trip through old Dubai.
Really pleasant and more authentic experience. great spots for pictures. #urbanexplorer
Al Seef
#dubaitrip A very colorful place that has characteristic smells due to the specifics of shopping shops, a lot of abra and old boats. I liked everything, but there is no fixed price for excursions on the shore of the embankment, you can bargain with guides. There is also a boat taxi, beautiful themed cafes, although they are themed only outside, but still beautiful. Good Instagram location.
In Dubai, after witnessing the city's glitz and prosperity, you must visit the old town to experience the worldly life
After seeing the city's glitz and prosperity in Dubai, you must come to the old town to experience the city's luxury that has faded away, leaving only the unique tranquility and life of the old town. That is the Al Seef district~ Here replicates the historical district of two hundred years ago.
Al Seef, the old-style Arabic buildings are unique, forming a strong contrast with Dubai's luxurious modern style. Time seems to go back to the era of 'One Thousand and One Nights', like experiencing a fairy tale, which is memorable...
Along the main street of Alseef, traditional handicrafts in various colors and a pile of Middle Eastern spices are displayed on both sides. In addition to this, modern museums, restaurants and cafes are also integrated, adding a lot of life and vitality to this old district of AI Seef~ If you are tired, you must come and check in at the desert oasis-the most beautiful Starbucks, the decoration design is very exotic, no matter how you take pictures, they are beautiful!
Traditional water taxis drift on the Dubai River, telling the story of Dubai's rise. Modern yachts shuttle through the rich area, telling the story of the nomadic people who ride camels transformed into the new legend of the Black Gold Empire~
Travel Fragments Al Seef Old Town
🛖Al Seef is located in the bustling Dubai Creek, with the architectural style featuring traditional style buildings of the old days.
🏚️The mottled mud houses exude a strong historical atmosphere, old-fashioned Arab architecture, elegant Arab curtains, hanging old-fashioned light bulbs, early fishermen's fishing nets... Old objects form unique sceneries, everything shows the Arab nostalgic complex, it is a very flavorful place.🤙🏻
In AL SEEF, you can enjoy the scenery of Dubai River🏞️ all the way, whether it is day or night, Dubai River is always leisurely but extremely charming. And AL SEEF has many berths, which has become the boarding point for many night sea cruise entertainment projects.
🧐What different experiences can you have in Dubai Al Seef area❓
In addition to experiencing Arab history and culture, blowing the sea breeze, watching the free seagulls, watching the sunset🌅 is really very comfortable😌 It's also a good place to take pictures📷 I recommend wearing brown🏾 series/vacation style/Bohemian style to take pictures, it's very photogenic, don't go to the popular Starbucks to take pictures, it's all people, there's nothing good to take pictures of
Dubai, these few places are like walking into "One Thousand and One Nights"
Dubai, in addition to the modern sense, of course, also retains the traditional Arab style, there are three places, you can take pictures of the Arab style.
The first place is Dubai spice souk, you can take a boat for 1 dirham, the market sells spices, saffron, and crafts, many plates are very beautiful.
The second place is Dubai al seef, here is an Arab-style commercial street, many merchants are very out of the picture, there is also an Arab-style Starbucks worth checking in.
The third place is souk madinat jumeirah, here is also a hairdressing mall, all Arab-style decoration, carpets, lamps are very beautiful.
Aesthetic Old Town
Enjoy the picturesque place in Dubai, I've bought authentic crystal gems in this place, most shops showcases authentic products from different Gulf countries. The restaurant and coffee shops, even the stores have captivating theme.
Aesthetic Starbucks ☕️ in a historical hood
If you’re a coffee & history buff, add this to your list for Al Seef is filled with some beautiful corners that remind you of the history of UAE, local crafts to take back home, great eateries and a lot more!
Giving you a quirky combo of old and new Dubai, Al Seef is every photographer’s delight. The Starbucks in Al Seef is the perfect place to enjoy your evening cuppa, after a stroll around the area. The new cafe boasts a unique style, brining out the best of modern and traditional Arabic architecture. Retaining Dubai’s old world charm, the cafe has a rustic finish- a one that makes it unique in its own way.
The exterior has a woody finish, with thatched roof for the outdoor seating. As for the indoors, the interiors are kept very simple and minimal, with wooden furniture complementing the whole setup. The menu is similar to any other Starbucks, letting you gorge on a host of fresh bakes, sandwiches and cookies.
