An amazing once-in-a-lifetime hanok experience!! The place was absolutely beautiful, and our host was the kindest person ever. Their service was amazing, even providing us with a bottle of wine, and free breakfast even though it originally didn’t come with our booking. We visited Gyeongju for 3 nights during the windy winter of February, so some of the pros & cons may not be applicable for other seasons: Pros: - Amazing location: right in the heart of Gyeongju’s trendy hanok district, it is a few minutes walk from Hwangnidan-Gil street, Cheonmachong etc. Despite this district being absolutely PACKED in the weekend, our hanok was tucked in a more cozy, quiet corner, above a restaurant. It was then really quiet in our hanok, and we surprisingly didn’t have any problem of smells from the restaurant downstairs coming up into our rooms. - Clean aesthetic that perfectly balances the vibes of a traditional hanok, and a modern hotel. Suitable for those travelling with older families, for example, who may not be able to sleep comfortably on hard floors. The interior designer for this hanok deserves a raise - Floor heating was done well, and we didn’t feel cold at all despite the winds at night during our winter stay - gigantic TV - host was very kind and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp! - appreciated that the toilet and shower were very clean and modern as well! Cons: - there weren’t any wardrobes, and not many hangers were provided to hang your clothes. It’s only a minor issue, since we had more coats for our winter wear. However, since most people are booking this hanok for short stays, it shouldnt be a big issue either - as we came here via car at night, the parking lot assigned to us was a ~2min walk away from the actual hanok, so it was a bit confusing to locate the parking lot and hanok in the dark at first. - at night, the winds in the winter get quite strong, and so like any wooden house - there will naturally be quite a bit of sound like the wooden door shaking, sound of wind etc. Coming from the city, we were a bit scared and thought there were intruders at first LOL. This isn’t a big problem (especially during less windy seasons), but I think it’s just worth keeping in mind, especially if you are very sensitive to sounds when sleeping. If these cons aren’t applicable or big issues for you, then yes I would more than recommend this hanok stay!!! It’s a rare experience, and hence worth the money imho!

Really convenient to be near lots of restaurants, there is a really good bakery cafe in the same building & coupons for the bar across the road. Breakfast included in the stay is basic with eggs, toast and fried rice. There is juice but no coffee. Rooms are huge as is the bath. Only minor thing was the light switches are meant to be remote controlled but that didn’t work so you have to manually go to the switches on the wall near the door. Would stay again.

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. The view from my room was breathtaking, adding to the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s facilities. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for relaxation, while the fitness center had everything needed for a good workout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of options, and the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding – fresh, diverse, and of high quality. The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being in a central location, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, providing a perfect balance between accessibility and relaxation. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure guests had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! Its a pity that the upper floor rooms got occupied so we were assigned to lower floor and the room was facing n pretty close to a construction next to the hotel and so we were worrying abt the dust and noise and a bit disappointed with the ‘seaview’ outside the terrace… luckily the front desk lady offered us another room on the same floor facing the carpark instead so the sea is really just one car away and it feels so much better :] she even offer us to check the rooftop family that comes with jacuzzi but we didnt bring out swimsuits so its out of our consideration. The room is huge and the view is superb, except 1. it d be better if theres a door/curtain for the toilet/bathroom area for privacy and also noise isolation; 2. The fridge and rubbish bin are a bit too small for a family-sized guests; 3. Lacking racks/hooks to hang clothes and towels when u shower, a bit inconvenient… However everything else is awesome, they hv clothing disinfectant machine provided in the room, a giant size tv which is good for family, amenity kits come with most of the things u need including facial cleanser/toner/moisturiser. Theres a coffee machine and ice making machine at the lobby so u can het ur everyday coffee free. Also the public terrace on 10/f is super nice n chill with the sea view, its both nice both day n night, highly recommend! There are tons of restaurants mostly grilled meat/seafood dishes in the neighbourhood as its right next to the famous beach where ppl comes here for the yeonglidae pavillion, which looks nice at night! Space walk is also nearby. The locals all do their morning exercise walk by strolling along the seashore bare feet! Theres a shoe rack storage and feet washing facilities provided so u can come enjoy bare-foot walking in empty hands and leave clean and dry! Its a nice stay and i would recommend to others!

The accommodation was great. It was clean and looked new. The lobby was decorated very cutely; I loved it. Inside the room, the bed was a mattress type, but it was comfortable. However, the floor heater seemed a bit too hot. The bathroom had separate wet and dry zones, which was very good.

Location was good. Close to central bus station, the tombs, 7 eleven next door. Stored luggage there before and after our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.. No elevator but has a dumb waiter for luggage. 10,000 for laundry. Breakfast was just toast butter and jam. One morning there wasn't any toast and I couldn’t find staff to refill. For me the location was the most important thing. So I was happy.

Stayed with friends on a 3D2N trip. Location was generally good, close by to main shopping area, easy to get on buses and/or to call for uber. We really loved the breakfast that was included as well as free noodles being provided (cooked in a bowl). Water, coffee and teas was provided throughout the day (pantry and a separate cafe that was right beside the main entrance). There was even washer/dryer, laundry pods to purchase from them also available however we can’t comment much because we didn’t use them. Service was a hit/miss. Was greeted enthusiastically by an older gentleman, explained everything well and was very willing to share nearby eats and things to do. However, while I tried to use delivery app (that they advertised in the room, even for international travellers), the young man was not very proactive to solve our problem (unable to input Singapore number). However overall their service I will say is still very polite. Room is generally clean. However as my legs are more sensitive to bedding’s fabrics, I could feel “things” on my legs that was in contact with the beddings. That being said, we didn’t experience any skin reaction or bites. To add on, they had self service luggage locker outside of their entrance where we stored our luggage after checking out. However, to note that there is limited number of locker so would advise to store earlier in case it’s fully used. Would definitely come back here next time!

The room far exceeded my expectations in every respect! I loved the decor inspired by traditional Korean aesthetics. However, there was a slight issue with flooding, as water sipped through the cracks from the shower onto the wooden floor of the bathroom area even with the shower door shut. Although this did not cause much discomfort, I am concerned about the long-term effect this may have on the beautiful wooden floors! The light switch for the cupboard was genuinely hard to find; I had to call the front desk after 11 p.m. to figure out how to turn it off so I could go to sleep. Since I was on a conference trip, I spent most of my time in the room preparing my presentation, and the tables and chairs were clearly not designed with business travelers in mind. Finally, I found the pillows surprisingly flimsy and regretted not bringing my own. For casual travelers looking only to relax, however, this is a truly outstanding hotel. These are minor blemishes on an otherwise great experience, and I'm leaving these comments only in case the staff is interested in making an excellent stay even more exceptional.

Lovely hanok in a great location. Had under floor heating which was really nice. The rooms are kitted out with a tv, mirror, kettle, tea and mini fridge. Staff were really nice and helpful. The hanok also has free hanbok rentals if you want to take pictures but the selection is quite small and some of the hanboks are ripped/old. The walls are slightly thin so can hear your neighbours but luckily I was with family so I just told them to be quiet 😂. The hanok is really beautiful and right next to a bustling street and ample restaurants. Would definitely come back again and stay for longer.

Super clean and spacious new villa in Hanok style. It's a bit out of town, but main attractions easily accessible with a car. Check-in was a bit difficult as we had no Korean number and communication was only possible in Korean. In the end a friendly worker helped us by calling the owner. Thanks again for his help.
