"Excellent service from check in and throughout the whole stay . The gym staff were very knowledgeable and polite and answered all of my queries throughly. The room was spotless with a comfortable bed and powerful shower . Breakfast was cooked to perfection with a vast choice for all appetites and dietary requirements We always book here when we visit family in UK and Id’thoroughly recommend this hotel as also a short drive to Norwich city centre"

"Friendly staff and great spot for me and my friend as we both have mobility issues. Just across the road from Norwich station. Very good price, lovely breakfast what is there to like. I read some reviews saying the food was bad it wasn't and also the bar was dirty this wasn't my experience. It is not the Ritz but it was clean, accessible and secure staff lovely."

"The room was an accessible room and there was plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and hot. Plenty of choices The only poor issue was a nasty smell in the bathroom. We needed to spray deodorant in there before use. Sadly this was not what we expected."

"Very convenient for the city centre. The independent cafes & restaurants of St Benedicts are very close. WiFi isn't great, but the hotel is clean, warm and well soundproofed. You don't really use a Premier Inn for more than sleeping and this is fine. Duke St car park is next door for an additional charge"

"The hotel has a history of hundreds of years. When you go to have breakfast, you will find it has a sense of history. You can go for a stroll in the church opposite, which has hundreds of years of history. The entire city is full of hundreds of years old buildings, so you can go out and walk around when you have time. There is a Chinese restaurant nearby, a ten-minute walk away."

"Stayed in the Dukes Head hotel- Kings Lynn to meet with friends the day before a wedding. The hotel itself is located well in the centre of town and on first look in good condition around the outside and the lobby. Our room on the other hand was not great. The shower was leaking, the floor not cleaned. The worst of it was being placed next to the lift, the noise was ridiculous, like having a tv on full volume all throughout the night. I noted this to reception and no apologies or acknowledgement to the issue seemed to sync in. I would not recommend staying at this hotel at all."

"**Absolutely fabulous gem of a hotel – we’re already planning our return!** I’m almost reluctant to sing its praises too loudly in case we can’t get a reservation next time, but I simply cannot recommend The Ocean highly enough. This place is an absolute standout. From the moment you arrive, the service is exceptional. The team is warm, highly attentive, and genuinely approachable – every single member made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. They anticipated our needs before we even asked, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was superb, with a wonderful selection to suit every taste and waistline. What really elevated it was the full table service – a lovely, touch that made the whole experience feel special and relaxed. The hotel restaurant is an absolute must. After scouting every other option in the area, we ended up eating there both nights of our stay because it was, without question, the best find around. The menu offers a fantastic selection, everything is cooked fresh to order, and every dish we tried was outstanding. The portions are generous yet perfectly judged – so much so that we sadly couldn’t squeeze in a dessert, though the menu looked every bit as tempting as the mains. The hotel itself has been decorated with real taste and care throughout. Our room was stunning – fresh, modern, and incredibly welcoming, while still feeling cosy and homely. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual tired, tacky seafront offerings; the team has clearly poured heart and soul into creating somewhere that feels both stylish and genuinely comforting. Overall, The Ocean is a superb find – one of those rare places that ticks every box and leaves you smiling from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
