What an amazing find of a nice cosy hotel with hard to match friendly hospitality and home atmosphere. It's located in a quiet and easy to get to street with easy accessibilty. As it's our first time here we found the assistance accorded tremendously helpful. Whether it's with places of interest to visit or favourable restaurants the recommendations were spot-on. We also found the friendly advice of local culture useful. The tea sessions with the landlord are memorable. We highly recommend a stay at this hotel if you should be thinking of making a visit to this region. We very much look forward to our next visit.

The environment is great, with a Ming and Qing dynasty courtyard style. The room is a bit small and the facilities are a bit old, but it's still quite clean. The bathroom is spacious, so overall it's acceptable. There's a shared small balcony outside with a drying rack, which is a thoughtful touch. The location is right on Gongxiang, and it's not far from the Aixin tree, which is quite convenient.

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! This European-style villa completely exceeded my expectations and added countless wonderful memories to our trip. The exterior of the villa is very grand, with classic European lines and vintage lighting, making it feel as if we were instantly transported to a charming European town. The surrounding environment is serene and quiet, offering great privacy without feeling isolated. Stepping inside was even more delightful! The interior decoration is exquisite and elegant, brimming with a strong artistic ambiance. The fireplace in the living room (even if decorative), the spiral staircase, and the vintage furniture all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The villa manager was incredibly thoughtful, responding promptly to communications and offering many helpful tips for local sightseeing. They made our stay feel as warm and welcoming as coming home.

I booked a room with high points on Ctrip, and it turned out to be a good deal. First of all, it is located in a quiet area in a busy city. It is very close to the Dahongpao performance area on one side, which takes only ten minutes to walk there. It is also close to the Sangu Resort on the other side. You can take the free bus to Wuyishan Scenic Area in 10 minutes. It is convenient! The boss lady was very nice and upgraded us to a round view king room. It was a surprise. You can see the beautiful scenery while lying on the bed. The third and most important thing is that they have breakfast, which is very rich. The rice noodles are super delicious! Finally, I bought their Dahongpao black tea and went back to taste it slowly. Great!

Clean and comfortable Room. Hotel is near to bus stop. Can take 7, 7A, 7B. From ferry station to 西南门里公所 NTD12 per person. Taxi will not be metered and asked to paid for the price of NTD. First time to this island, hopefully, the rest of the traveller can prevent the mistake.

Facilities: For Gulangyu Island, this place is really good. It's clean and tidy, and basically has everything you need. Hygiene: Very clean and fresh, with a touch of history. Environment: The environment is beautiful, located in the center of the island, making it convenient to get to all the attractions. It's also very quiet! Service: The front desk lady was very nice. Since it wasn't peak season, she upgraded my room and even extended my check-out by two hours for free.

Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

This hotel is truly unique. From the outside, it looks like an older building, but the interior is very modern and well-designed. We arrived in the evening and received a free room upgrade. The layout was excellent, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom and even a dedicated study nook. The hotel also has a very artistic and poetic vibe, with many cozy corners perfect for reading alone. A pleasant surprise was the Dou Wei easter egg! Plus, the convenient breakfast spot nearby was a nice bonus.

Quanzhou Shangqinglou Inn | A Dream Back to Old Minnan Times Choosing the right accommodation is incredibly important when traveling to Quanzhou! Staying at Shangqinglou this time made even me, a local Quanzhou native, exclaim: ”This is exactly what a traditional Minnan 'gucuo' (ancient dwelling) should look like!” ”Gucuo Architectural Features: Bringing Childhood Memories into the Inn” The moment I stepped into the inn, the red brick swallowtail ridges and the wooden courtyard immediately resonated with my Minnan DNA. The vintage pipa decorations, the stone tables and benches in the courtyard, and the aged wooden beams—every detail reminded me so much of my grandmother's house when I was a child. The duplex tatami king room I stayed in was an even bigger surprise; the wooden staircase connecting the upper and lower levels created a clever and stylish space. The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Sipping a pot of tea and chatting in the courtyard, the unhurried pace of Minnan life instantly returned. It's hard not to fall in love with this sense of ease~ ”Location Advantage: Explore the Old City with a 2 Yuan 'Little White Car'” The inn is located right near West Street—the location is absolutely fantastic! Just a few steps out, you can catch a 'little white car' for 2 yuan per person, which takes you directly to all the ancient city attractions like Kaiyuan Temple, Chengtian Temple, Guandi Temple, and Qingjing Temple. The transportation is incredibly convenient. As a World Heritage City, Quanzhou's rich cultural heritage is fully showcased around West Street. After a tiring day of exploring, returning to the inn feels like coming home to a warm harbor. ”Breakfast Experience: Freshly Made Minnan Flavors to Wake Up To” What my mother and I were most satisfied with was the breakfast! All the Minnan specialty dishes were freshly prepared that morning. Waking up to a hot, authentic, and heartwarming meal was wonderful. The owner was also exceptionally kind and friendly, like a friend; staying here felt completely familiar. I had booked the room facing the mountain view but it was not given. I was not aware that it was wrong as I checked in late at night and also as a tourist, I would not know the facing. I had to ask for a change the following day. The room can only be released at the end of the day. Should not I get a refund? Why was the room not reserved? As the hotel is away from the town, the hotel should consider providing free city and airport shuttles. Hotel is nice to provide free beverages and the vinegar drink is quite refreshing. We quite enjoyed the takeaway Cantonese porridge when breakfast food was not available on our last day.
