This new hotel's design and hardware facilities meet HUAJIANTARE's standard, but the rooms are generally small. It would be a bit cramped for three people. The first round of the mini-bar is complimentary, and fresh fruit plates are delivered daily, of excellent quality. However, the soundproofing in the rooms is terrible – you'd have to experience it to understand how bad it is.
**A big heads-up about the transportation!** The hotel is a two-minute walk from the Dacheng Temple stop, which is just a pass-through stop. Only buses leaving the temple will stop there. If you want to go further inside to Shancai Cave, you'll have to walk 20 minutes to the Pujisi stop to catch a bus. What's more, there are no buses at the Dacheng Temple stop on weekends. Despite our repeated inquiries, the hotel never informed us of this. We only found out ourselves after waiting for a long time at the stop and carefully reading the sign. This made getting around very inconvenient.
Another major issue is that the hotel's service and management level urgently need improvement. We booked a 'Huajian Xiaorizi' activity a day in advance, but only received notification of the location 15 minutes before it was supposed to start. The activity venue was very secluded; I asked the front desk twice for directions, and both times they just pointed. It wasn't until I got frustrated that someone finally led the way. At least half of the ten participants couldn't find the venue, and there were no basic signs for the activity room. Used towels left in the laundry basket on the first day were not collected the next day.
**Dining:** Breakfast was decent; the dishes had minor variations daily. The selection wasn't vast, but it was satisfactory. We had one lunch at the hotel, which was very average and didn't taste like local cuisine. We ended up eating at the Hilton later that evening, which was much better.

A few months ago, when I was planning to go to Zhoushan to worship Buddha, I made a very accidental choice and booked a double bed room in Huajian Mansion. Because I had never been to Zhoushan, I was always a little worried about worshiping Buddha and the surrounding environment, so I called the hotel’s front desk one afternoon to inquire in advance. I thought that this kind of consultation was superficial and perfunctory, but I didn’t expect that the young man and the young lady on duty at the front desk took the initiative to add me on WeChat and sent me the guide for worshiping Buddha in Zhoushan and the detailed operation route for booking the ferry ticket to the island. It was as if I could directly ask more I met a kind and friendly old friend from Zhoushan.
Finally the day before yesterday, my sister and I arrived at the hotel. To our surprise, the beautiful lady at the front desk directly upgraded us to a deluxe room. The service was even more considerate and meticulous. She is a reliable friend of my sister and I. During our itinerary, I really like to ask for their advice first. It will make us feel more at ease.
The hotel's lobby is elegant and the rooms are spacious and bright. Its elegance is always reflected in the details: such as Dyson's hair dryer and Boneau's natural mineral water. The hotel provides welcome fruits and good night desserts every night. Because there are not many people staying, the breakfast buffet is adjusted to a set meal, but the quality is not compromised. I especially like the freshly grilled seafood noodles and green matcha-flavored cakes.
The vacation has ended happily, and I look forward to our next reunion at Huajian Mansion in Zhoushan, which makes me feel at home😀
