We stumbled upon this restaurant as it was the only bookable restaurant in Zermatt on OpenTable on a very short notice. What a gem! We are two spoiled foodies from London and did not expect too much but the food is 10/10! We’ve had the beetroot / cheese starter, seabass, pork belly, lobster and lamb chops (best one I’ve had in my life) and vanilla ice cream and cheese cake for dessert. The service is friendly and the vibe is relaxed and family friendly. The wine selection is excellent (and surprisingly very affordable). Price wise we paid the same as in other restaurants in the area for much much better food. We actually decided to come back for 3 nights in a row as we enjoyed it so much. One piece of advice: we always took our jackets to our table as we saw some diners struggling to find their jackets in the busy cloak room again after dining. Would highly recommend.

Terrible experience, we would have expected a bit more of class and respect from the people that serve at the Terrasse. They were rude, non-polite and with no affinity with tourists, while actually they get their income because of us. Honestly they have a great location and fantastic view to the Matterhorn and food is nice however their rude trea**ent and ****** arrogant behavior leave a very bad impression of the country , tisis the last time i bring my friends to this place. If you can, choose another restaurant! There are plenty with nice view and more intelligent people.
