During my trip to Xiamen, I stayed at this high-altitude sea view hotel that left a very deep impression on me. The location is great, high up with unparalleled sea views. When you walk into the room, the large floor-to-ceiling windows are like a dynamic picture, offering a panoramic view of the blue sea, blue sky, sparkling sea and distant islands. Whether it's the first ray of sunshine shining on the sea in the morning or the gorgeous afterglow of the setting sun in the evening, you can enjoy it here and be intoxicated. The design of the room is also very exquisite. The decoration style is fashionable and grand, the furniture is reasonably placed, and the space is spacious and comfortable. The beds are soft and clean, allowing for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and various toiletries of high quality. The public areas of the hotel are also very unique. There are comfortable seating areas where you can relax and enjoy the view. Meet the needs of different guests. If you love nature, if you like natural history, then this hotel (B&B) must be a very good choice! Stepping into the lobby, this hotel is simply a mini private natural museum, and the collections are all very beautiful, making the photo-taking and check-in business very atmospheric! Since we are all staying in a hotel, why not visit the ”Natural Museum” and it has a sense of design?
There will be a small sign at the entrance of the hotel telling you the daily weather, which will be updated every day.
Guests can ask at the front desk for a list of recommended snack bars in the surrounding area, all of which are summarized by the boss himself. They can be reached on foot from the hotel, which is really thoughtful!
Location:
Opposite the hotel is Gulangyu Island, which is very convenient if you want to stay on the island. It is about 4km from the hotel to Xiamen University or Xiamen Station, and it is very convenient to take a taxi. There is a market behind the hotel. If you go there during the day, you may have a chance to see ”ocean giants”. You can feel the Xiamen style by going at night. Lively alleys are the best fireworks in the world. There are various snacks and stalls here (mostly seafood), and there are many restaurants going out, some of which taste really good. There is also pearl milk tea made with freshly brewed pearls on the street, which is not greasy and very good. drink! After dinner, you can take a walk along the small street, follow the navigation around the street, just enough to finish the walk and eat, and then arrive at the door of the hotel.

The basic facilities in the room are easy to use and the water pressure is sufficient. It's so nice to come back and take a shower after being tired from playing at the beach! (But the washbasin is a mini washbasin, which is very delicate!)
I stayed in a secret room with a double bed and a projection screen! The bed is also big and comfortable, perfect for rolling around in.
Summarize:
Everyone's preferences may be a little different, so we may still feel that some of the hotel's furnishings seem to be flawed. But I think the flaws outweigh the flaws, this is a really good hotel! recommend!

I stopped here with my partner for a few days after working in Fujian - my return flight was from Xiamen. Good place for taxis to drop off and pick up. Tonnes of restaurants within walking distance. Chinese is the language spoken by staff. Checked in with a little help from a translator app. There's a washing machine and dryer that's free to use on the top floor. Chinese breakfast was fine. Great shower pressure and comfortable beds. I opted for a sea view and enjoyed it. It's 30 min taxi from Xiamen Airport. I'd go back if I'm stopping Xiamen.

I originally booked just one night for a room with 'no window'. Upon arrival, they gave me a room with a small window but with a wonderful view outside. So I immediately extended my stay to 3 nights. A soaring office tower nearby put on a fantastic lights show every night. The room was very clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities included. Lots of local buses and BRT buses right around the corner with many fascinating shops & eateries. The front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. I'd like to give my thanks to two particular staff, Ms. Chen Mei 陈梅 & Ms. Lisa Lee Xia 李霞. They both went above and beyond during my stay to help me with many things, from purchasing Gulangyu ferry ticket, to helping me to set up my Alipay, WeChat, and other mundane things that normally would make any new visitor from outside of China crazy upon arrival. They both were very sweet, courteous, professional and efficient. They made my stay in Xiamen very enjoyable and easy to maneuver. The other male staff are also very friendly. Lastly, did I say Echeng Hotel has a robot server? I saw it one night delivering dinner from the ground floor to a room on the 6th floor and then returned to the ground floor lobby by itself. Very cool!

WWan SuwanThe apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too.
The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay.
The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself.
Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open.
The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc.
In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

He was amazingly polite and I truly appreciated his effort to make our stay as comfortable as can be.
The hotel is amongst the best in the region and I was given a room with sea view.
Highly recommend this hotel to those who love a great view and impeccable service.

GGuest UserI originally booked another hotel, but because there were not enough rooms there, Ctrip helped me change to this one. The boss was very friendly and the service was very friendly. The double room was too close to the elevator. I was afraid that our children would not be able to sleep well. The boss specially added two big bed rooms I bought two beds and gave Xiang Piaopiao to the children

JJwGreat location. A little noisy as the room was facing the back road and the toilet windows cannot be closed. Escalators didn't work all the time. Wifi works for foreigner as there's an alternative way to login with the room number. We did not want housekeeping so they left water outside our door everyday.

If the floor is higher, the view will be better. The room is not very new, some are old. The refrigerator is not cooling. We have a total of 2 families, with children, we are satisfied. RRittzzWe recently stayed for 1 night. But we need spend more time in Xiamen for an unexpectedly long time. So, back to this hotel and stayed a few more days. We received a very warm welcome at check-in and a welcome back gift in the room. Beautiful room with a wide and nice view, good desk to do the work and a lovely sofa to relax. Neat cleaning of the room every day. We gratefully made use of the Continental Club on the 8th floor. Very tasty, high-quality and delicious food. The furnishings feel like a living room where you immediately feel at home and at ease. The wait staff is professional and friendly with an appropriate distance. The hotel manager and the relationship manager made an effort for a personal conversation. Very attentive. Sufficiently qualified restaurants and lobby for your high tea with friends or business meetings.

When we reached the hotel around 4 pm, we were greeted by a hotel staff wearing a black coat. He helped us to push our luggage bags from the main entrance until our room. We really appreciate his kindness.
From the hotel, turn right and walk along the road until you cross the traffic light and reach the end, turn right again until you reach Heping Wharf to onboard the ship for Lujiang night tour. 20 mins walk. There's 2 sessions available, 7.30 pm & 8 pm. It cost RMB109 perpax. The night tour took around 1 hour to finish.
The sky in Xiamen started to get bright at 5 am. If you can wake up early, this is the best time to go out and walk around the hotel surrounding area. It's cool and windy. It's a good time to take photos as only a few people and cars are on the street. It's very peaceful and safe to walk along the road. We didn't see any cat, dog, or birds on the street.
A 30 mins walk to Haibin Park to see the sea and Gulangyu Island. You may also rent a bicycle that is available at the roadside in front of the hotel.
There's many local food roadside stalls available in front of the hospital beside the hotel.
We requested the hotel staff to arrange a taxi to send us to airport T3 during checkout. The whole process took around 7 mins, from checkout until we board the taxi. We really appreciate the front door staff dressed in red uniform to call for the taxi and helped us to upload our luggage bags in the car. The journey to the airport took around 30 mins and cost us RMB50.
I hope the hotel management can consider changing the room mattress as it's too old. The pillow is too flat. Good for sleep but not for resting. The room is very clean, but the wooden headboard frame was sticky when i lay my head on it. The bathroom rain shower head needs a fix as cold water dripping down when i'm using the handheld showerhead.

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
