I don't come to Xiamen often. I used to stay in B&Bs. This is my first time staying in this hotel. By comparison, I feel that the hotel has better sound insulation than the B&B. It is also clean and hygienic. I didn't see any cockroaches.

The Space Hotel was conveniently located only 10min drive from the Xiamen airport. The check in was extremely quick and there was plenty of food delivery available nearby (even late in the evening when I arrived - due to flight delays). The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Very close to metro station. Easy to go to popular attractions. Nice hotel and friendly staff. The room is spacious. However, we could smell cigarettes even smoking is not prohibited. We also have plumbing issue for our toilet, but it’s fixed quickly.

Room was really clean and spacious, nothing bad to say about it.
The staff is very friendly, the amenities are true to pictures and impressive: best gym I have seen in a hotel within that price range yet. The swimming pool is also really good (big and clean)

A very good accommodation experience! The hotel decoration is very sensible and full of artistic atmosphere. From the paintings to the bottles of hand sanitizer, everything is beautiful. It is clean and tidy, with complete and intelligent facilities. The lamp switches have many modes, and the projection effect is very good. It is so cool to use it to watch Xiangliu! The owners are beautiful and kind, especially considerate. I will choose this place next time I go to Xiamen!

The hotel are very convenient just one minutes walk you can explore shopping and find local food and reasonable prices. Even for local and tourist Receptionist and chamber maid are both very pleasant servicing customers. I shall give a 5 stars rating. You can treat it home away from home. It's been a week since I came back from Xiamen, and I just remembered to come and comment. First of all, the price is very cost-effective, plus the cleaning fee for dogs is also very favorable, which is much friendlier than some other pet-friendly hotels I have seen. I have a husky at home, which is considered a big dog. I called several hotels, and they all said that the dog is too big. One pet accommodation requires an additional ➕580 per night and does not agree to accommodate a big dog. Finally, I found this homestay, which has a comfortable environment and a super large lawn. Only dog owners know how tempting this is. There are also several cute cats in the yard, and one is super clingy and asks for petting. It's really great to travel with cats and dogs! Highly recommended!

Although not in the historic district, the homestay is a short walk to the seaside. Nearby are many dining places as well as shops. The room was clean, but the public area, especially the tables in the lobby where we can eat, were not clean. I had to throw away other peoples' trash. The service was excellent at the front desk. The ladies working the day I arrived were super-friendly, very patient, and full of good humor at my not-very-good-Chinese. We used a translation app to communicate, and they were able to inform me about all my questions. One surprising thing is about the breakfast. I was surprised that the breakfast is just a bag of food delivered to my door, from some other restaurant! It was sufficient and delicious, but I had to clean my own table in order to find a place to eat in the lobby. A better idea might be to eat the breakfast in your room, but I only had a tiny table in my room.
Overall, this is a good value with friendly staff.

WWan SuwanThe apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too.
The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay.
The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself.
Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open.
The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc.
In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

The rooms are very upright and have good lighting. The young lady at the reception was very enthusiastic and had a nice smile. According to the proprietress, Gulangyu Yiju Hotel was formerly one of the four villas in Yangjiayuan. It was once the Zhongxin Building of Yang Zhongxin, a wealthy businessman in the Republic of China. As expected, it is rich and majestic. It is suitable for families to live in, but it also has the classic romance of living together as a couple.

RRam KondaAt first, we were disappointed because they put us into a small room that we felt was not worth the price we paid for. However, the next day they upgraded our room into a nice one with a separate toilet and shower area. There were wide windows and the view was the quiet road below and two small mountains in the distance. Not bad eh! This was the time we started feeling comfortable and relaxed in our 4 nights of stay here. The bed and pillows were firm and very good to sleep in. Good for relaxing after a long day of touring or working. There was a small dining table as well as some space or area to work and put your other stuff. The toilet is fully automated so it was really comfortable to use. The staff in general were accommodating and the female receptionist manning the lobby was always enthusiastic and helpful. On the other hand, location is far from downtown so it might cost you a bit more if you take the didi often. Also, breakfast fare was sparse when we were there, probably because it was still the tourist season. Not sure though but for whatever reason, when we got to the breakfast nook at around 8am, most of the food was gone. We had to wait for about 30 min for some trays to be refilled with food while the rest simply remained empty. If you don’t like local breakfast, then this hotel’s breakfast is not for you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us.

GGuest UserFirst of all this is NOT a HOLIDAY INN, indeed the hotel's name is SEP HOLIDAY. However on DIDI and Trip.Com it is listed as HOLIDAY INN. The real HOLIDAY INN is located about 200metres away. So please do not book this hotel if you are looking for a real holiday inn (IHG hotel). Having said that, this hotel does not need to call itself a HOLIDAY INN for you to consider it. We stayed here for seven(7) nights and will stay here again as it is very convenient, clean, provides a decent buffet local breakfast and is in a good location near bus station (50metres away), Metro Line 2 (Cruise Centre station) is across the road 300M away (there is a proper overhead walkway to cross the road, no escalators though) and you can walk to the gulanyu ferry terminal and sea world. It is also on the same side of the road as the start of the Mountain to the Sea Walking trail which is about 500metres away. Short, since the trail itself is 23km. The rooms are decent size (We got a corner unit room 8403 on the 4th floor), attached bathroom with all the amenities for 2 persons with hot shower and cold air conditioning with free cable tv and wifi and lots of power points. It doesnt have a fridge but none was needed. No swimming pool and really a too tiny gym with just a bit of free weights here and there. So don't bother packing your gym or swimming stuff. But if you are looking for a value for money decent and clean place to sleep and to have a cooked breakfast before going out out and about xiamen city for sightseeing, then this hotel is highly recommended. Just forget about the HOLIDAY INN part!

EExpatThis hotel was priced above average considering the time of year and the neighboring hotels. I cannot say that my stay was very good here because of a few things. When I checked in the procedure for passport and everything was completed. They had to do the process again later that night. The water did go out while I stayed there but they fixed it within 20 minutes. The neighboring hotel and beach were doing construction, so I had lots of noise going on out my window early in the morning. The location is good because it’s close to the beach, however the dining advertised is at the hotel next to it. I did ask the Trip.com app to update the information for the hotel because the breakfast included was not what they would typically serve because they confirmed it depended on the number of guests. I could not eat the food that they offered me and they were not willing to adjust the price. trip.com offered me trip coins, however my overall stay here was disappointing because even the car gate was having delays. There were things such as maybe teabags or cotton swabs that I asked to have in the room, but none of those are offered. The view is very nice. The cleaning staff is very friendly. However their breakfast area was just an empty banquet room with empty shaving dishes and they had a family temporally making plates of whatever they decided. I definitely think this hotel needs to have some love and attention, especially considering that the neighboring hotels are upgrading their properties. I feel that the rates should’ve been lower considering all of the construction in the walkways behind the hotel. I honestly have no clue have dinner was available or not. I saw a total of three staff members there and then the family of three making the place of breakfast in the two days. The price of the hotel changed by 200 yuan in Trip.com in less than 12 hours on the day that I reserved. Only difference was that breakfast was not included.

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.

Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
