Great modern hotel with one of the best breakfasts I ever had! Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. I have only great impressions of this place!

I loved our overnight stay at The Modernist! It’s a chic, smart, arty hotel in the centre of the city, easy walking distance to all the shopping, bars and restaurants. The room was spotless with tea, coffee, minibar and toiletries all provided. The restaurant and cocktail bar serves creative cocktails, a great buffet breakfast and a fabulous dinner - we enjoyed them all!!

The hotel is in the commercial center, 10 minutes away from the train station and close to the beach, which is very convenient. The hotel is clean, the service is good, and the breakfast is rich.

The location is not far from the train station. It's about a 10-minute walk to the main street. The breakfast is great. Overall satisfied.

Ideaal gelegen in het centrum. Wij zaten hier voor onze cruise en je loopt naar de cruise terminal. Hotel is modern aangekleed. Kamers fijn met goede airco. Ontbijt keurig en goede keuze. Prima uitvalsbasis Enige minpunt: badkamer zou betere ventilatie mogen hebben.

It‘s a modern style new hotel in the heart of Trieste. All kind of stores, restaurants, famous Trieste buffets and cafes are in walking distance from the hotel. Garage San Giusto is app. 200m walking distance from the hotel . The hotel is offering a 15% discount voucher for the hotel. Please note that rooms and beds are comfortable but you must consider that you might have no view from the windows because the neighbor building is only 2m away. Breakfast is top, staff ist young and very friendly. The hotel has a bar opening in the evening!

Hotel is in a very good location. Walking distance to the sea front and in the center of the old city. Bar and restaurant on the ground floor. So very noisy in the evening time if you stay on 1st floor. It was leaking under the shower door, so after shower, there would be quiet lots of water in the bathroom floor. No parking/ street parking around the hotel, there was private parking offered for 27 euro/ day. They will take the car key and park for you and bring the car back when you need it. Breakfast is only ok, not many choices.

We have visited Trieste many times. Our only priority, when it comes to booking, is the sea in the nearby. This time we arrived from Vienna very late in the evening. Though, my wife, being half Italian, we were a bit disconcerned, how to find a good one. Yet, we succeeded in finding the best option. Modernist is located in downtown, yet near the sea, stylish, charming with a wonderful team, who were eager to please all our requests at once. They were able to find a solution to every issue we were facing. Location, hotel and team was the perfect Trinity. This is a very rare constellation. A really interesting new hotel in Trieste. Totally different from the usual offer. The city is going throught a renaissance after decades of crisis. This format is very similar trom the Kimpton's one .

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say it was an experience. Aaron, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. His dedication to customer service truly made my visit memorable. I highly commend the hotel and, especially, Aaron for his outstanding hospitality.

We stayed four nights in The Modernist Hotel in mid October. The location was an easy 20 minute walk from the main train station and centrally located between the water and two interesting neighborhoods. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pleasant and satisfying. I am very sensitive to noise and was bothered by the busy street below. This is very individual. I grew up in New York City and the location would be quiet by NYC standards.

Eminently walkable to all sights in Trieste, The Modernist Hotel is a delight. It’s warm and welcoming environment is only matched by a personalised experience in each stylish room- each with a nod to TSEliot, Matisse and Joyce. It’s location on Corso Italia is a potent crossroad that leads to all of Trieste’s historical and cultural sights. The Modernist offers a fabulous breakfast, as well as a great restaurant. It is placed deservedly alongside the distinctive character of this vibrant coastal city. A wonderful immersive experience on all levels.
