Family-friendly Hotels in Taiyuan

Good hotel occupying 2 floors of a commercial building in the city. Easy access to pedestrian mall, eateries and food stalls right in front of hotel. Our room was even equipped with a small washing machine! Ample supply of drinking water much appreciated. Housekeeping staff number 072 was courteous and helpful keeping our 3 rooms clean and well kept. Only setback to this hotel is no porterage nor ramp available and we had to carry our big bags up the steps to the main lobby.

The price is not expensive in the urban area. The accommodation environment and sanitation of Zhonglou Street Liuxiang are much better than hotels at the same price. The service attitude is standardized, it is recommended, and there is no smell. This is an advantage. The room facilities are complete, the service staff are of high quality, the room facilities are new, the bedding is comfortable, and the overall value for money is excellent. It is a very satisfying experience.

The room is of medium size and has a wide view outside the window. There is a humidifier in the room to relieve the dry northern air. Although the bathroom equipment is a bit old, it is well maintained and relatively easy to use. The room service is attentive and thoughtful, with handwritten reminders every day and snacks provided every day, which is very warm.

The hotel is located in the old city of Taiyuan with convenient transportation. The hotel facilities are simple but not simple, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. Especially when you do not check in, a disinfected seal will be posted on the door, which is reassuring! The fly in the ointment is that the air conditioning in the room seems a bit out of control, and the effect is not satisfactory.

The location of the hotel is very good. Hot tea is served as soon as you enter the lobby. It is within walking distance to Liuxiang Commercial Street and the subway station. It is very close to Taiyuan Station. It is located on Yingze Street, which belongs to the city center of Taiyuan. Liuxiang night market is bustling. Room facilities It is complete, the lobby is spacious and bright, and the restaurants are rich, with buffet Chinese, French and Japanese food. The service attitude of Rou Shangjie and Yang Jing at the hotel front desk is very good. Wang Chunhui, the assistant lobby manager, patiently answered questions and is very satisfied. I will choose this hotel for a long time in the future. Everyone can check in with confidence!

Very big hotel, although a bit old, but well maintained, the staff is very professional and literate. The floor is high, so I saw the sunrise at 7 am, so beautiful! The room has a bathtub, the bath is comfortable, the desk is very practical, and the toothbrush in the toiletries is soft and easy to use. Breakfast braised noodles and lamb soup are delicious. I also sent a calligraphy and painting, a bag of small gifts, fruit drink sandwiches, very touched. The laundry room needs an appointment. The gym is super big, with 20 treadmills and various other equipment. The robot delivers food to me. For travel, the suitcase was stored for 2 days, and there was a special luggage room, which was very safe. An old hotel that exceeded expectations! very good!

A hotel that we all like, the service is very good, and the lobby is also very stylish! The buffet breakfast is also rich, but there is no need to place a knife and fork placemat. Sometimes it is not environmentally friendly to remove it when it is not used. Toiletries are also good. If we talk about the disadvantages, it is that the glass is not cleaned during the Chinese New Year, and we look out at the fireworks to affect our mood. Everything else is fine

This is going to be a very long review 😂. I arrived there a little earlier than the check-in time which luckily they didn't let me wait and attended to me, checking in took quite some time and I had no idea cash was not accepted so there was a lot of back and forth before finally accepting. Now I was ready to pay and I almost shouted from the amount they mentioned, claiming I was to pay a deposit of almost 2K in addition to the full amount of the total days I had to be there and that I would get it back when I check out. So now I was confused about the meaning of deposit here😂 and I explained I did not see any such information which they claimed its a policy and that was the fault of Trip.com. So they now said okay I could reduce the deposit to 1K and I just started laughing cos I only had an extra 1.2K for Miscellaneous cos the next day was my birthday so if I give you that money then I'm not going to be eating for all the days I would be there. So I ended up giving them about 600.....I got to my room and it was beautiful that made me a little calm and try to get over my frustration. Now there was no notice on the fridge so I thought the things in there were complimentary 🤣 and unfortunately I think the A.C was broken and it was quite uncomfortable so after several calls (trying to get someone who could speak English hmmmm) even after a supposed repairman came to check it out it still was hot af, they finally changed my room 🤦🏽‍♀️. I finally was able to move my things to the other room at the other end of the hall cos I had already unpacked and taken a shower. Then there it was, an even more beautiful room with an incredible view😍 which I was glad to had moved cos I hated the view in the previous room. At that moment I was already frustrated and just wanted to sleep but I later received a fruit platter which they said was free and I was like and are the things in the fridge free too cos I'd seen the drinks list with prices so my stupid self thought that was to buy incase I needed extra. They said NO they're not and here I had already drank a bottle of juice and chocolate from the previous room in addition to the new room😂. Now I started calculating and I knew my deposit was gone. To be honest I was disappointed as to whether it was carelessness on my part or Trip.com didn't give much details. I just slept. Next day, during the afternoon I received a call from the manager wishing me a happy birthday and also from the restaurant that they were bringing me a cake, so I just decided to get over everything and enjoy my free cake at least 😂. I received the cake and a gift and it was nice and I was actually impressed by the effort they put into making my day special ❤️. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the pool or see any other part of the hotel cos of the whole experience I wasn't really feeling it. But overall I loved the place and the view was incredible and after explaining things to the manager the next day, she apologized for the miscommunication and didn't charge me for the minibar and also I got my deposit back. Hopefully I might visit again someday and I will be prepared next time so I'm not taken by any surprises.

The location of the hotel is particularly good, just next to Wuyi Square, from the train station, the navigation found that it was very close, so I simply walked over. After arriving at the hotel, I stayed. The corridor was carpeted. The room was very clean and tidy. There were office tables and chairs, and bathrobes. It was the style of an old high-end hotel. The staff of the hotel are commendable: 1. Check-in was very numb. One day I wanted a nail clipper, and the waiter quickly brought it. 2. One morning, I checked out very early. There was a handsome guy on duty in the lobby. He sat on the sofa and took his work clothes on his body. The whole person was still very decent and did not crook on the sofa. 3. Every time you check out, you can pick up your luggage and even send it to the taxi. Thank you very much to the staff here, especially the three who served us: Liu Chaolian, Li Jialei, Guo Shilong, excellent business, beautiful people, people like spring breeze.

Wow what can i say about this hotel? Well for the price it was excellent! Really clean room with a comfortable bed and great amenities! Vr in room too! I was really surprised at how good this place was, although the location was a slight inconvenience for me (personal reasons), i would happily stay here again and think i will. Even though i checked in after a few glasses of of wine at 3am and speaking little Chinese, the hotel staff were able to process all my details and get me in swiftly! Unfortunately i didnt manage to take any good photos of this place but after staying in kempinski for 2 days, i would choose this hotel over the kempinski
