"Hotel itself was amazing from lobby to room, the only thing I would change is the bathroom needed a bit of maintenance. Could see some mold and a hole in the roof. The breakfast was great just get in early as some things are gone once they are gone. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel seems to be fairly central to everything you need."

"Amazing location! The restaurant was surrounded by lots of restaurants and a bustling night market. Walking distance to many of the popular streets downtown. The room was clean and very comfortable and I really appreciated that there is a free washing machine/dryer to use. I booked the room with breakfast however due to an early flight I couldn’t eat so the front desk gave me extra snacks instead!"

"As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the doorman came forward enthusiastically to help me open the car door, took my luggage, and politely guided me to the front desk to check in. His thoughtfulness instantly dispelled my fatigue from the journey. The check-in process at the front desk was also very fast. "The weather was fantastic during my few days in Taiyuan. The hotel was great in every aspect. The breakfast was delicious, and the front desk service was exceptional. The hotel facilities are very new, as it's a newly opened property. The Hyatt Place Taiyuan South Railway Station Wusu Airport is definitely worth recommending. Its location is also very convenient, close to everything. The front desk service was incredibly helpful, solving many of our issues, and their service was very attentive."

My favorite aspect was the location, which was incredibly convenient whether I was catching the high-speed train early in the morning or arriving late at night. The subway station is also nearby, making it easy to get to popular shopping districts like Liuxiang and Food Street, making travel hassle-free. The room hardware can reach five stars. The facilities in the room and lobby are very new and the design is modern and simple. The sanitation is very good, and the cleaning on the day of check-in and in between is very good. The breakfast is not five-star and lacks richness, especially for children, there is not enough to eat. The buffet restaurant is not open before the 15th day of the first ***** month, and there are no good restaurants around the hotel, so the dining aspect is a bit lacking. However, the dishes served in the Chinese restaurant are up to the standards of a luxury hotel and taste very good. The room TV cannot be connected to the screen. The water temperature and pressure in the bathroom are very stable, which is great for a hotel located on a 15-story building. The toilet room is completely independent and not separated by glass. There is a sink outside the shower room and also in the toilet room, making it very convenient for families to stay in.

GGuest UserCould not fault this place. We had booked a bigger room, but it was on the main street, so decided not to take the risk. A slight downgrade was organised swiftly. Room very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom. A well equipped gym where I seemed to be the only user. Breakfast passable with toast, fruits, cereal, coffee and baked goods. We extended our stay to 4 nights. The service at the front desk, room servicing, breakfast was exemplary. The room maid left me a lovely book marker as she saw my lonely planet. (btw, LP mentions a restaurant at the start of the bu xing jie; I wouldn't bother).Hotel is 1km west of Tiyuguan metro station on line 2. Line 1 yet to open. Two stations north brings you 400m from Bell Tower Street, a bu xing jie where there are heaps of great eating places. One station north of Tiyuguan, then east as far as possible gets you to the old Taiyuan train station. Buses 308 or 804 (slow trip) gets you to JinCi Si; well worth the trip even just to see a 3,000yo tree

GGuest UserMy stay here was truly fantastic! The hotel's service was incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel thoroughly looked after right from the moment I checked in. The front desk staff even proactively offered a complimentary room upgrade. The new room was spacious, bright, and well-appointed, with incredibly comfortable bedding that made it easy to relax instantly. Throughout my stay, every member of staff, from housekeeping to the restaurant team, consistently displayed genuine smiles and a thoughtful, caring attitude, which made me feel incredibly welcome and valued. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being just a few minutes' walk from Taiyuan South Railway Station. This stay completely exceeded my expectations, with the hotel's thoughtfulness and attention to detail evident in every aspect. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanxi!

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right next to the subway, making it incredibly convenient to get around. It was also nice to be able to take an evening stroll around Yingze Park. However, the hotel itself was quite mediocre. The rooms felt stuffy and lacked proper ventilation, and the overpowering artificial scent in the lobby was very off-putting. During my two-day stay, the used towels weren't replaced after the first night. The complimentary water was also just haphazardly placed on the table. Compared to other hotels in the same price range, the service felt quite inconsistent and unprofessional. I do appreciate that they proactively contacted me about an item I left behind and assisted with shipping it back.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for one night, while going from Pingyao to Zhangjiajie. We arrived at the train station in the evening, and had to take the train the following morning. The hotel offers pickup and drop-off which was very convenient and comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, with snacks, tea and all the furnitures we could need. The staff was SO helpful: they ordered some food for us (everything on the app was in mandarin and we couldn't understand how to do it ourselves), recommended some local favorites, and delivered it to our room. They also helped us do laundry even though it was late in the evening, so we had clean clothes to continue our trip. All in all, our stay was excellent, and I couldn't recommend the hotel more.

GGuest UserThe hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Kaihuasi metro station, there are restaurants, cafes, convenient stores around the hotel, it is 5 minutes walk from the happening area with restaurants and shops. Initially i was assigned a room on 3rd floor with centralized air conditioning which resulted in my room being filled with heavy cigarette smoke. When i feedback to the staff at the check in counter, i was re-assigned a room on ground floor with individual air conditioning, this works fine for me. The corridor was still filled with cigarette smoke when i exit my room though. The hotel staff are helpful, guiding me to use the bus app and gave me a tube of hand lotion when one of them saw my hand with frostbite. I have always had good experience with home inn hotels, the facilities are good and staff are helpful.
