The Tango Hotel Taipei Linsen

Stayed in The Tango Taipei Linsen for 15 nights of my compulsory Taiwan quarantine period, during July 2021. The booking, as it's for Taiwan entry quarantine purpose, had be to done directly through them. Their good and efficient service started from there, with clear and prompt communication for my booking and payment. The great service continued and became even better once checked in. They understand how difficult it is for a guest that is going through a 15- night quarantine in Taiwan, hence they would do anything to help, from answering relevant questions, helping with any needs during the stay etc. All the communication with the reception staff was efficiently done through their LINE instant messaging. They even once 'rescued' me from my original room due to an uncontrollable leakage of air-con water flooding, by immediately changed me to another room with the same specifications, which was justifiable during the quarantine. I booked and stayed with a slightly larger room (Junior Suite/尊榮套房), and the layout was great to force myself, as for the quarantine period, to maintain a healthy routine. It has a bedroom area and a separate office/lounge area. It was definitely worth the little extra money! The room came with all the necessary amenities I needed for the 15-nights and they were always ready to supply more if needed. What's more important was, it was spotless clean and hygienic! The whole hotel is currently, as this review is written, served as a quarantine hotel, so no concern of mixing the hotel guests. The stay I booked included all meals, and I must say they did look out for the variety, tastiness and even the nutritional balance of all meals. Considering there was very little difference in prices (only 200 NT extra per room per night), I'd recommend the meal-included option when booking their quarantine rooms. If that still didn't satisfy, online orders of takeaway food could be ordered anytime, and they would deliver to my door. I was going to check in to another Tango Hotel (Tango Inn Zhongshan) upon the completion of my quarantine. The staff, without me having requested, liaised directly with the other Tango Hotel, to allow me to check in as early as midday. Then that's the 'extra mile' they went for me! Overall for the purpose of a hotel quarantine, it was a very pleasant stay, all made possible by the kind, thoughtful staff and the hotel's professional services. Thank you once again!

This is my second time quarantine-ing in Taipei and I'm so glad to have chosen Amba Zhongshan for my 15-day stay! Yes, it's definitely more expensive than other properties in the city, but you get what you pay for. Here are a few highlights: - From my original reservation to check-out, I received warm and informative welcome and goodbye notes from the front desk manager (the previous hotel was not like that) - The staff communicates in impeccable English, which made things a lot easier (I'm fluent in both English and Mandarin but prefer English) - My (Medium) room is spacious, clean, bright, and contemporary—plus my window view faced the tree-lined Zhongshan N Rd, which is refreshing. I wake up every day to sunlight and gets me energized for the day - Amba Zhongshan prepares its own food in the hotel's in-house kitchen, which means they do accept slight modifications according to your diet. In my first week, I ate regular meals; and during my second week, I opted for all vegetarian and seafood. They were super accommodating and immediately switched after consulting with the kitchen - Another reviewer mentioned that the room is not carpeted, which I like as well! I believe it's covered in woven vinyl textile, which gives it a very contemporary look and feel - The bed is really comfortable and ac is quite and works really well - Finally, the high-speed WiFi is very stable due to the individual routers in every room. This is so important since I've worked non-stop during these 15 days and had no issues with my online client meetings Highly recommended and I'll definitely stay here again!

Ningxia Night Market Taipei|0.99km from Nanjing West Road shopping district

Staff who can speak Japanese ... At my time, only Katakoto was there. I felt that the breakfast staff could do it better. It said, ”Toilet paper cannot be flushed,” and there was a large trash can next to the toilet. Amenity is minimal. PET bottle water and tea pack were placed as a service. In December, the air conditioner will be turned off when it is cold, and if it is still cold, they will lend you a blanket. Even if I turned off the air conditioner, it was cold. The toilet paper holder is not well installed and it is a little difficult to use, but it doesn't bother me for short stays. I stayed alone, but there was a large 2 room for people, and there were amenities 2 each. It is much larger than a small business hotel in Japan. The room cleaning is beautiful at first glance. (There was dust in the parts that were hard to reach for cleaning, and some box of garbage fell under the table next to the bed. Hair was sticking to the waterproof silicon in the bathroom.) The floor is not carpet, It was a flooring sheet. There was a full-length mirror, but it wasn't very useful because the position was bad, but it was better than nothing. The location is between Minquan West Road Station and Nakayama Kuniko Station on the Nakawa Shinro Line at the transfer station of the Tamsui Shinyi Line and the Nakawa Shinro Line of the Taipei Shotoku MRT, both of which took less than 10 minutes on foot. There are many convenience stores nearby, and the night market of the castle town behind the hotel is recommended. Especially I want to eat water dumplings again! Breakfast was simple with porridge, white rice, fried rice, soup 1 type, bread, fried *, bacon, milk, orange juice, raw vegetables, fruits, bananas and oranges. The banana was very sweet and delicious! The last day was a tour that left when I couldn't eat breakfast, so he prepared a sandwich.

Yomi Hotel

Ningxia Night Market
My one-night stay at the Yomi Hotel was a delightful experience. The sleek, modern decor and attentive staff immediately set a positive tone. The room was immaculate, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's amenities, from the well-equipped fitness center to the basement bar, added to the overall appeal. Yomi Hotel's prime location made exploring the city convenient. Overall, excellent service and a opulent atmosphere made for a memorable stay. Highly recommended for a short, luxurious escape.
Dandy Hotel Taipei Tianjin

We stayed at the Dandy hotel on Tianjin Street last month. It's a 3-star hotel so our expectation was set accordingly. Overall, we're very happy with the hotel for the location, easy access to the metro, convenience stores and eateries. Though the room is not big, it's clean and contains all essential amenities including a safe. A nice touch is the multi-adaptor power outlets which means you can plug in your electrical devices without a travel adaptor. The bed is probably a Queen size by Australian standards though they advertised it as a King size. Whilst not a huge selection, the breakfast does provide a range of hot and cold foods. The counter staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. Special mention to Kim who is always cheerful and is a source of good travel tips re places to visit and eat. In summary, a very pleasant stay and we'd be happy to choose it again next time we visit Taipei.

It’s a good location to find restaurants. The wall paper in the room needs repair. The room safe didn’t work so I asked staff at the front desk to fix it. I was told all safes in this hotel cannot be used due to the vivid. It’s so funny. I have been traveling in Asia since last February and it the first time that I was told the safe cannot be used due to the covid at a 4-star hotel in October 2023 in Taipei.
Chian Huei Business Hotel

If you take the Taipei MRT and take Exit 4 of Zhongshan Station, one stop away from Taipei, you will immediately see the hotel (Qianhui Business Trip in the photo). When I entered, I didn't understand what was being said in Chinese, and I was scared when I heard that there were no reservations, but the staff looked for a list of guests and found my name, so I was relieved lol The inside of the room was a little old, but it was cool with an air conditioner, and it was also equipped with a TV, refrigerator, and electric fan. There were also two free bottles of water, so you can feel safe even if you don't buy drinks. Also, important parts of the room description were written in Japanese, which was very helpful. When I learned that you can't flush paper down the toilet, I realized that Japan is a little different from Japan. Overall, I'd give it almost a perfect score because it's easy to access, the facilities are good, and I didn't have any inconveniences other than not being able to speak Japanese!
Hotel Royal Nikko Taipei

Front desk generally is nice but not as welcoming as typical top hotel service in Japan. The checkin front desk staff is Japanese. Very kind and helpful. However, one concierge old staff is as cold and unfriendly as before. Actually, even a bit rude when I told him the hotel bag I received is broken and need to get a new one. He was so impatient and unwilling to change. After giving me the new bag, he turned his head and walked away. Really shocking to see such concierge at a 5-star hotel which claims Japanese warm service. He was like that when I stayed @ the hotel for 2 weeks a couple of years ago. The hotel is famous for its pastries and snacks. The best in town. I bought a lot as gift. The restaurants provide gourmet food as usual. One of the best in town that customers can trust. Some staff seems to have problem of getting instruction right but the receptionists and managers are always prompt to answer the call and serve very well.
Royal Inn Taipei Nanxi

The hotel is on the 8th floor or higher of the building, so it was hard to tell where it was when I was walking on the street, so I passed by it many times. The building is old so there are limits to the cleanliness of the rooms, but they were clean. Unfortunately, the door couldn't be locked (there was one, but it didn't seem to work). There is a frosted glass (?) partition between the shower room and the bedroom, so when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the bathroom light, the bedroom became very bright, causing a nuisance to my family. I want the light to not reach that thing. The breakfast buffet didn't have a lot of variety, which was disappointing. At the time of check-in, it wasn't the check-in time yet, so I was planning to try it out and if it didn't work, I would just leave my luggage and go out, but I was able to check in, so I was able to do it on a case-by-case basis. I appreciate your response.
