We booked Sheraton because of its location and name. We booked King Bed, but when we got there they gave us 2 Twin Bed and made a King Bed out of it. They gave us a King Bed room the next day. For Honeymoon we only got 2 small Teabags and 2 small teddy bears. Worst Honeymoon Amenities ever. Breakfast was ok. Good enough. Lobby was too crowded. Restaurants was crowded from morning till evening.

We chose this because it is located somewhere between ximending and xingyi district. It’s convenient to get a taxi. We have 12 paxs in this trip. When we reached on 1 Nov , it was pretty late, between 9pm - 10pm. All of us were very tired and kinda disoriented after a long day’s car ride. When we had alighted from our vehicles, immediately the bell boy told us not to block the hotel entrance. Our driver immediately told them we just reached and stood here for less than 5 minutes, how to check into the hotel without alighting the vehicles ? It was an unpleasant “welcome” experience. The hotel conceige staff also made mistakes when issuing our door cards. This hotel has its rules and regulations. If you want to have an easy going holiday experience, there are better ones.

The hotel was abit old but the quality of service provided by the staff is excellent. Specifically, their helpfulness in resolving issues such as a faulty lock on luggage and thr 17th floor staff was try their best to comfort guests during an earthquake, even though they were also concerned themselves. Only that the bathroom is abit inconvenience, you have to climb in to the bathtub to bath.

Excellence location, just 2-3 mins walk from Ximen Station Exit 6, walking distance to all the local foods and shopping street. The counter service staff are friendly and attentive. We stayed here for 4 nights. Before commenting on the hotel, we wanted to share some of our own experiences with those who travelled to this hotel on their own. We arrived at the airport at about 5pm and went to the Flying Dog Bus counter as suggested by the Forum members. Based on the information we found, the bus was supposed to take us to the hotel or close enough to the hotel. But instead, we were told they would not take us to the hotel door until after six o'clock. Before 6 o'clock, they will only put guests on the designated bus route and then take a taxi to the location they are going to. In short, if you arrive at the airport before 5:30, then it is recommended to take the Guoguang bus. After the next time at the terminal (Taipei Central Station), take the MRT to Ximending. Pros: -The location is good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest MRT Ximending Station. -All rooms have free Internet access. Try using the wireless connection. If you don't have a network cable yourself, you can borrow one from the front desk. - Basic supplies: hairdryer, kettle, free bottled water and tea - very clean Cons - hotel entrance hidden in a narrow alley and easy to miss. Just look for the World Express pastry shop on the main road. There are huge neon lights on the top side of the hotel, which is useful when looking for it from a distance. - Shower and bathtub are integrated. As a business hotel, we expect them to install a shower curtain, but maybe they think it will cost too much. So you can imagine the mess after each shower. -No useful maps available. Those maps that could be used only marked the subway line, and there was no address information or anything like that. - the lighting in the room was poor. It was too dark for ladies who wanted to make up. -Close to a government building, so if you want to walk around naked in the room, it is recommended to close the curtains. -The front desk clerk doesn't seem to know much about the attractions. -Breakfast coupons are issued at the front desk every morning, dining at the fast food restaurant on the main road, just at the exit of the narrow alley. There are about four or five packages to choose from, but the two must be the same (for both of us)! That is so stupid! The food is not good either.

The hotel is surprisingly ok despite being in an old business district. It gets dark by 10 so this is the only disadvantage. The 7-11 is cute overload and so convenient. To the airport, go beimen station exit and taoyuan airport express line is so convenient. I booked at sg 88, so yea quite a good deal. Taiwan is a safe *******. Thank you 🙏

City Suites Taipei Nanxi is well located very close to Dihua Street and conveniently connected to Beimen MRT station and Taipei Main Station which allow to go everywhere. The room was big and clean with big beds. It was quiet despite being on the main street. The breakfast was good as well a mix of western and asian food and the breakfast room was in a peaceful atmosphere.

- Paid extra for a better room, Totally Worth It! Big and clean, but no view - Great location, easy access to the Taipei main station. I can get to anywhere easily. My Tainan friend caught a High Speed Rail to visit me, it was easy for her to get here - I would recommend to go straight up to the ground and drag your suitcase on the street with you if you are taking the Airport Express to Taipei station (Do not walk all the way to the MRT train closet exit because there are stairs) - I like the restroom, bathtub and shower. The Japanese washlet is fantastic because you cannot just throw toilet paper in the toilet in Taiwan - Bed is a bit too firm for me, personally prefer softer mattress - Breakfast has limited choices, I wish there are more - Staffs are very helpful and friendly. I was waiting for a shop to restock something, since I didn’t have a local number, I left the hotel number to the shop, and big thanks to Peggy for her help!!!

I booked standard triple rooms without windows, and the prices are higher than those without windows. The triple rooms were a little taller, but it turned out that all the triple rooms had no windows, and the room types were the same, which made people feel a little bad!

The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.

I have booked a total of 3 nights in this hotel. We have encountered some confusion during the check in as the hotel renamed recently from Hedo to Le Room, and the room size or features of the room we booked initially. Nevertheless, we appreciated the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade during our stay. Perhaps there is renovation works going on in the building or around the building, they provided us a set of ear plug and I believed the complimentary breakfast was provided for the compensation. Nice breakfast spread. Strong connection for their Wifi. However, their pillow is too soft for me. Air con is not consistent, sometime in the middle of the night, the temperature may be a bit too warm for me. The water pressure is strong but sometimes the water suddenly become cold for 1-2sec. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel as the location was strategic. Walking distance to Ximending and exit z10 to the underground mall. The staff is also quite patience and able to compromise our request

Love the location which is at the Ximending area and in front of the subway exit, convenient to roam till late at night. However disappointed upon finding out the room we stay due to the lack of details upon booking. It was advertised as room with window but not able to open. But in fact it is a small window (around 60cm? Width) facing the next building window hence need to close it all the time. Perhaps it would be better to know ahead that this is a room without window or view to avoid disappointment. Bed is firm and size of the room is good. Design of toilet and shower area is good but the choice of tiles could be better to avoid mold which is apparent at the shower area. Breakfast spread is decent and healthier choice kind.

It is very near to Taipei Train Station where can be reached directly by Airport MTR. As we have booked a room of 20 meter square on 3rd or 4th floor, we were provided by a smaller room on 2nd floor. There is not enough space for us to open 2 luggages at the same time. The room facilities are not good for us. For example, hangers are provided but no places for us to use them. We are noticed that the hotel has free coffee provided, but it does not have. The hotel has a rule that they do not have room cleaning service every day. So when having used or almost used the only one toilet paper provided, you need to ask them to get a new one even in the midnight. As for the room cleaning, they only gave us the new bath towels. They had taken away the face towels!

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Via Hotel Taipei Station. The hotel is really conveniently located, and we used it as a base to walk to lots of the main sites and the ximending area. The room was spotlessly clean, and comes with a little neck massager as part of the room. They have lots of free snacks available 24/7, and as others have written, they have a soft-serve ice cream machine available as well. We also enjoyed the 2 big massage chairs in the basement game room area. We also appreciated the pocket wifi that was available for rental from the front desk at a very reasonable rate. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to return in the future.

Very nice staff at front desk. The room was small and clean, a bit cold since there is no heathing in winter (so make sure to bring something warm). I really liked the toilet and bathroom area, very clean despite being a shared space, and enough toilets/showers so you never have to wait.
