The location of the hotel was perfect for me, there is a metro station right across the street. The general impression was not bad but there were some minor flaws. My room was rather spacious but dark with a very small window under the ceiling. The interior is also a little dated. The walls definitely need a fresh coat of paint. And when I checked in there was a weird smell in the room, so I kept the window open all the time. The bathroom was super clean though and the bed really comfortable. The hotel is pretty quiet, at least I couldn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms.

A cost-effective hotel worth recommending, clean and tidy, with thoughtful service and excellent professionalism. Although it is in the Panmen Scenic Area, it is not a popular attraction, so it is very quiet.
The hotel is close to the outer moat. When you go out in the morning, you can see willows brushing your face and hear the summer cicadas. You can walk along the river to the Nanmen subway station. After enjoying Suzhou-style soup noodles and morning tea, you can walk more than ten meters to the Confucian Temple, Keyuan Garden, and Canglang Pavilion.
If you take the 9005 bus at the entrance of the hotel and transfer to Xujiang Road, you can transfer to You 5 to go directly to Liuyuan Garden and Xiyuan Temple. Hanshan Temple is also within walking distance.

The location is good and travel is convenient. It is very close to Shiquan Street. Although the facilities of this old four-star hotel are a bit old, the service is very good, there are no sanitary dead corners, the room layout is relatively warm, and the details are also in place.

The staff made our stay in April 2024 very comfortable. In particular the front desk staff Ms Judy Chan is very competent at helping us with all sightseeing details and made us feel most welcome. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to Jinling Nanlin for good memories of Suzhou.

Generally speaking, everything is OK, there are many rooms, and it is indeed a former state-owned brand. The front desk has a very old feel and is also very clean and well-organized. The room is actually not fine, it just has a sense of age, but the most important thing is that it is clean!
Facilities: New carpets were being replaced on the day of check-in.
Hygiene: OK, this is the most important thing.
Environment: There is a small garden where you can stop.
Service: Very good. Youqi is the guy named Sima, which is great.
When you go back after dark, you can take the nearby Nan Shipi Lane. It is very convenient to connect to the Master of the Nets Garden and is suitable for walking.

Highly recommend!! Clean and comfortable stay. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, able to recommend a lot of delicious food and attractions. They even assisted with food delivery.
Free dryer but you need to pay for the washing machine.
Will stay again if i visit Suzhou.
Ps: Happened to have a promotion event which i upgraded my bunk bed to this single dorm (with window) with additional 10rmb per night with larger common space

Room was clean and tidy. Very Friendly lady at front desk helped me with a lot. Had upgraded the room for me, helped with my wifi connection, navigation, wechat usage and even recommended places to eat and visit. For a solo traveller first time in suzhou, she made my stay pleasant. Room amenities were just sufficient for me. The bun shop downstairs sells really nice 鲜肉月饼 n I personally love the rose 月饼. 8 mins walk from 三香广场 station, quite convenient as there's a Starbucks, kfc and family mart just outside exit 2.

I stayed here for the last two nights of my one-week trip to Suzhou with my parents. The room was clean and comfortable, the environment was great, the service was great, and there was a self-service laundry room for washing and drying. It was great for me and my elderly and frail parents who like to travel easily and bring few clothes. The location was also very convenient, and my parents were very happy.
I will definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

The wooden furniture, ancient decorative paintings and traditional decorative style make people feel like they have traveled back to ancient times. The service attitude at the front desk is also very good, and they will deal with the needs of the guests in a timely manner. What makes me most satisfied is that my housekeeper Manman's service is very good, hahahaha, the morning buffet has a lot of varieties, which can meet different tastes. The hotel has Tongli No. 1 Restaurant and buffet dinner. We went to Tongli Ancient Town, and it was also very good to stroll around. The location is also very close, and it is also very convenient to travel. The hotel is good overall. The staff is very enthusiastic and the housekeeper is also very considerate. There are several playgrounds in the hotel, both indoors and outdoors, as well as billiards and table tennis rooms, a constant temperature swimming pool, a pet feeding area, go-karts, and adventure projects to meet the different entertainment needs of children and adults.

LljjjRoom: The room is quite okay, not too small but not too big. We can open two 24-inch suitcases in the room.
Air Conditioning: The air conditioning is a standard unit (not central), and you can use the remote to set the temperature according to your preferences. You can adjust it to be very cold or less cold.
Amenities: Every day, they refill two bottles of mineral water for us. They also provide new slippers, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo daily. Towels can also be changed every day. There are about 4-5 sockets in the room. Remember to bring a universal adapter, as the sockets are not designed for international use, although there is a USB port that can be used directly.
Shower: The water pressure is not very strong but still acceptable.
Breakfast: The hotel only has a pantry area with 1 table and limited chairs (similar to pantry) and no restaurant.
Transport: The hotel is near the Humble Administrator's Garden (5 minutes walking distance), Lion Forest Garden (3 minutes walking distance), and Suzhou Museum (5 minutes walking distance). The Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum are located side by side. If you don’t mind walking, you can also reach Pingjiang Road (15-20 minutes walking distance) and Guanqian Street (15-20 minutes walking distance). For other attractions, you might need to call Didi.
Location: There is a Family Mart located in the same row as the hotel, making it easy to buy snacks. My travel dates are May 21, 2024 - May 23, 2024. There is some construction nearby (it seems to be a new metro construction). It’s not noisy but a bit dusty. When walking to Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street, you need to walk near the main road and construction site. It can be slightly dangerous, but many people are using the same route.
Laundry: They offer a free laundry service. You can use the washing machine and dryer for free. However, there are only two washing machines and two dryers. Many people use them at night, so you might need to wait when others are using them.
Overall, it is good for a short stay and budget travelers.

YYTZ23We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our 10 month old during Golden Week.
Pros:
- Hotel is self-contained and there is no need to leave the hotel. There are large and well-maintained grounds for our daily walks with baby, including museums and traditional pagodas dotted throughout the property. There is a chinese, western (steak, pizza) and japanese (teppanyaki) restaurant within the hotel. There is also a kids play room and swimming pool, along with some other kid friendly activities like rabbit feeding and games on the lawn.
- The hotel is right next to the lake and is quite beautiful. It's very relaxing to stroll along the lake.
- There is an ancient town about 15 minutes walk from the hotel's main lobby. There is a free hotel shuttle to and from the ancient town too.
- Staff are generally friendly and helpful
- Large, family-friendly rooms are available. We stayed in a lake view suite, which was just right for us and our baby.
- Hotel is affordable by international standards
- Hotel is less than 2 hours drive from Shanghai, where we live
- We particularly enjoyed the teppenyaki restaurant where you can get a private room and a private chef to cook your meals
- Despite it being Golden Week, we didn't feel that the hotel was too crowded. Perhaps because the hotel has large grounds.
Cons
- The baby cot given to us had an extremely thin and uncomfortable mattress. To compensate, we were given a comforter to pad the mattress. However, this is unsafe for younger babies, who should sleep on a firm surface.
- The property and facilities are a bit dated
- There were very loud weddings on the lawn facing the lake each day that we were at the hotel. The loud music and emceeing disturbed the peaceful ambience of the place, and also disrupted baby's morning and afternoon naps. For families with children who still need to nap in the day, it may be better to stay in a quieter garden view room instead of a room facing the lake.

RRobsterNot knowing Suzhou at all, I thought I had chosen a hotel to suit my needs for exploring the history whilst still being near the modern. This hotel is ideal for both. With a metro station (line 3) Shajinqiao, within a 10 minute walk, literally, just round the corner, and a taxi ride to either end of where I wanted to be costing me under 30RMB, this was an absolute gem of a find.
On arrival, the staff were very good and extremely helpful. I was checked in without any fuss, with the usual pandemic checks, travel codes, health codes and I showed both 48hr and 24hr covid tests.
The room was cosy, with excellent air-conditioning, a very comfortable bed and very clean. The toilet was intelligent, electronic and quite a novelty. It even warmed my posterior whilst sitting on it!
The hotel provides a kettle and 2 free bottles of water daily though there may at one time have been a mini fridge, it was not there on this visit. Breakfast is served at reasonable times with the last orders being done 10:30am. (11 am at weekends). It is a decent spread, predominantly Chinese food, rice, vegetables, meats with cooked-to-order eggs, porridge (Chinese rice style) and a cold buffet. There are delicious pastries, toast and fruit. Tea and coffee are available along with a varied selection of fruit juices. The restaurant is airy, bright and clean. Plenty of seating is available.
Room lighting was bright and cheerful but could be set to 'mood' which dimmed and made for a more intimate atmosphere.
On Didi App, the hotel does not come under Atour Hotel. You will need to search for Yi He Cha Can Yin Guan Li You Xian Gong Si.
At the time of writing, Suzhou was low risk. However, the recommendation was for Suzhou citizens not to travel and if they had to, to show a 48hr covid test. I had a bit of trouble with getting the app to work and thanks very much, eternal gratitude, to the wonderfully patient and supportive reception staff who all contributed, made phone calls and tried their best to get the app to work. Eventually, we succeeded. That is service and that was fantastic.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Qqueen_kooIf you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me.
1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants.
2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind!
3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed.
There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!!
Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists.
I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them.
Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

GGuest UserBecause it was too late to decide to travel, the room booked was small and remote. The boss was very nice and enthusiastic. I stayed for two nights and directly helped me upgrade one of the bowls of parent-child rooms. There were quilt sheets on the stairs, indicating that I had to change every day. It was very clean. Breakfast had milk, porridge, corn, sweet potatoes. Tea eggs, there is dinner in the evening, we ate for one night, the fish is longer than half of the brother 😄

It is worth praising. The style is quite unique. The serviced apar**ent is modern and simple. The security is very high. You need to swipe your card. 24-hour security. The location is excellent. There are shopping malls behind the Jinji Lake Scenic Area. The transportation is very convenient. The hygiene is also very clean. The bed is very comfortable. I will bring my family to play and stay here next time.
